We bought a new 5th wheel today! After almost 2 years of research, we really liked what we saw and knew about Grand Design trailers. Larry Leavers was our no-pressure salesperson -- he suggested units we might want to see and let us wander the lot alone and take our time. William did our walk-through and taught us what we need to know to use our new uniIt was a great buying experience, and we plan to visit on our annual trips to Tennessee. Update time: June 21, 2024, Forest River told corporate that we could pick up the RV today. (I had called the VIP corporate number multiple times this week as we never can make contact or get answers with Forest River Nashville). My husband confirmed that it was fixed twice before driving from Fort Campbell to Forest River RV Nashville by Camping World after I received the voicemail it was ready from corporate. My husband explained that he wanted to do a walk through to check before driving it all the way back home and surprise no one would help him or do it. Guess why because it's still not fixed. My husband discovered this as he tried to hook it up and check on his own at the dealership. "Chris" the sales manager who I called furious said that it was my husbands fault because he didn't make sure they wrote line for line on the invoice each thing. "Chris" told my husband it was Marks fault because he didn't write line for line on the service order, Who actually knows if the hot water, outlets, or outdoor lights are working as the kitchen appliances and outlets continue having issues. Doesn't leave me confident. When I explained to "Chris" that we had a trip next weekend and would need a rental RV. Chris told me that I wouldn't be getting one of those over fuses. They actually encouraged my husband to go ahead and take the RV and bring it back after our next trip still broken. I don't think so, he left it and it continues to stay on the lot. "Chris" explained to me that since it had been on a camping trip it's not considered new any longer. Guess at 6 weeks of ownership purchased brand new we should expect electrical problems and no hot water or lights by "Chris" standards as it it's no longer new. So where are we at, RV is still at the dealership. "Chris" might have the worse customer service of any individual I have experienced in 41 years. I am going to see JAG Monday because we can't be the only military family that Forest River Nashville by Camping World has sold a lemon too and continues to not fix. So maybe with documentation we can save others from being taken advantage of by bringing light to the continued failures of this dealership by JAG as a buyer beware/stay away. The glass half full. I encourage anyone dealing with "Chris" or Forest River Nashville by Camping world to reach out to the camping world VIP number. The people we have encountered on our multiple calls over the weeks to the VIP number have been amazing (Chris could learn a thing or two). If this does ever get fixed I believe it will be because of the kindness, empathy, and compassion of the people we've encountered through the VIP number. I'll end by saying "Chris" said it will be fixed Monday and they will call. I doubt that at this point after the way he spoke to me and about my husband to me today it will. "Chris" needs to learn to value people's time, maybe he should drive it back to us since my husband will be gone on a training up until our trip since time is a luxury some of us don't have. read more

Purchased a new Sanibel 3102RSWB from here on April 4th. Didn't get to pick it up until April 11th because parts were missing that they supposedly had on order already and a few other items to be fixed. Ok, minor things like a switch. When I got home slideout switches didn't work, autoleveling didn't work none of which were tested at time of pickup. Back to dealership on the 13th. Now here it is the 27th and the unit still sits. Told that parts are on order. Called Manufacturer (Forest River) and they said no parts on order. Dealership calls and says parts order submitted the 24th, then they say no parts on order because warrenty authorization has not been reviewed or approved. Have asked to speak the the General Manager on the telephone. Have been on hold for over 30 minutes now waiting while I type this. Clearly they do not respect the customer or their time!! So far I have spent 48 hours (2 days) of actual drive time (I live 3.5 hours away) to this place. Icing on the cake was that a person in service (their warranty advisor) calls to basically attemt to chastise me for calling the manufacture to find out about parts availability etc. Hopefully Robbie (the service manager?) may be their only saving grace. Cannot recommend this place at all! If I could leave no stars, I would. read more

I would recommend NEVER using RV.com or camping world. Our camper had been in their service for over a year for the same exact issues over and over again. They are the most incompetent people I have ever met. They don't know how to fix anything wrong with our camper, they never answer phone calls, voicemails, or emails. Good luck getting into contact with Corporate as well. The GM Roger has done nothing to help us through our situations. This has truly been the most frustrating experience I have ever had with a company. I will never be using RV.com or Camping World. I didn't realize when I made an appointment for RV service that I was dropping it off to just sit in their parking lot. It wasn't even looked at. Don't buy anything from Gander RV of Nashville. I purchased a new Nexus RV from them and was told that during the walk around for delivery, that the hose connecting for outside grill was missing and that was going to be ordered. Jadrien was the 2nd person I talked to about this and said he didn't know anything about the hose, but he would put it on order again. After a couple of months with no call, I went to the dealer and the hose was not even placed on order. The girl in charge tried to say this was our fault, we had to take to an International Dealer and have one ordered, we were never told any such thing. I believe this is just an excuse for a job not done. It has been on order since the 4th of June 2021. The unit has been with a International Dealer in Murfreesboro for 7 weeks now trying to get repairs done. read more

Service after the sale is nonexistent. Bought brand new 2020 40ft Atlas 5th wheel and found several issues during the first trip. Took it back for repairs and it sat on the lot for months with no repairs completed. It has now been a year with no repairs and never a phone call to set anything up. I have had some problems with the Gulf Stream Encounter we bought. But after we got things worked out ALL IS WELL. Roger called and checked on us and that meant a lot. Gulf Stream did one thing I really like. I was winterizing our camper and saw a tube with a cut off near the water pump. It is for running anti freeze through the system by just shutting off the hot water heater and putting the hose directly into a gallon of anti freeze. Then you turn on the pump and open all the faucets one at a time until orange flows out of them all. Very nice. Good job Gulf Stream. I do wish when we did our walk through it would have been explained to me. But I figured it out. Ready for the snow. read more

10/10 would not recommend. A huge selling point for use was the shopping cart full of stuff to make sure you're camping ready... because why wouldn't you be when your purchase a BRAND NEW camper for 70k... right? Well after we were at gander for 3+ hours even though we had an 'apppintment' they told us all we had was a 100$ gift card towards camping stuff not the shopping cart that was explained to us multiple times. And we even reiterated the shopping cart and pointed at it and they said yeah that's yours. Turns out they don't even know their own policy. they also said they had to ship ours from Virginia. We tried calling them from Monday-Thursday about the financing to make sure everything was good since we were picking it up on Saturday . They never returned our call until the very last minute. We should have taken our business else where from the get go. Their Motto is "if you're not happy we're not happy" yet they did nothing to try to make the situation better... Terrible communication. They'll steal your $1,000 deposit when you don't get approved for financing and jerk your chain around for weeks and not return your calls about getting it back. Jadrien, the service officer at Gander RV is absolutely AMAZING! We lost our key to our Flagstaff RV and have been using the keypad for some time now. NO ONE seemed to be able to find a solution for getting us a new key made that ACTUALLY worked... not the Flagstaff company, not the dealer ship we bought the RV from ... NO ONE. My husband decided to just take the lock to the door completely off and bring it to gander RV to see if maybe that would help get us a new key made. Thank goodness Jadrien was there today. I purchased an new 2020 Forest River Cardinal Luxury at Gander RV Nashville in July 2021. Within one week it started falling apart. They had to come get my RV and tow it in September. I was told it would be repaired ASAP. NO PARTS have been received. We have been given the run around from these ppl since September. Forest RIVER will not return calls and neither will Gander RV. NO ONE will call us back or HELP US. My next step is hiring an attorney. We purchased this RV with a price tag of 90K and it's not worth 2 cents..... I want a buy back from Gander RV or Forest River. read more

Brought a new travel trailer here. Great salesman but after the sale the customer service is extremely poor. They promise to repair things and make sure the camper is ready for the road then they do not follow thru. I asked to make sure the tire pressure was checked and filled properly; they did not do this. I had to pull into a truck stop and fill my tires as they were all around 15 - 20 psi. They did not fill my propane tanks as they said they would; only one was filled. Much to my surprise when I went to switch tanks when the heater was running. Good thing I had an electric heat back up. They did not check my water tanks nor my water pump. When I hooked up the water for the first time I found out the pipe connection for my water pump leaked, the plug for the hot water tank was not in place nor was any of the low point drains closed. I am sure if they would have actually checked the water tanks they would have found this out. My awing was not fully extended as they said. there is a sticking point which I need to have repaired/looked at. If you make an appointment with them do not bother being on time, for they do not pay attention to time. I had two different appointment with them and neither of them started on time. Both times it was well over 30 minutes before they bothered to start the meeting. I paid cash for my trailer and they were told from the beginning this is how the deal was to be made. They repeatedly tried to get me to finance the deal. I guess they make more money on the interest they charge to finance a a trailer. There was other issues as well and they were brought up to management and the home company. No apologize made, nothing was done about it and continued poor customer service. I was warned about buying a camper from camper world and did not heed it; my loss. read more

We bought a 33 ft Forest River Wildwood. It was assembled so shoddily I wish I would have never purchased it. You know how your star struck when you look at a beautiful floor plan only to get it home and say what's this and make a list of 35 different things. It took them 4 months to put a new window in the back of the trailer because it was broken at their Florida dealership they put in a new door because it was rubbing because it was not plum in the door jam. Both the new window and the new door they installed were bent I told them they need to buy a sheet metal plier to straighten stuff out like that and they accuse me of having a high quality standard. I wish I would have never darkened their door their service technicians are lacking quality in there workmanship. read more

On August 24, 2020, I took my travel trailer to Gander to be worked on for fe der repair and the refrigerator. I called several times to check the status of my trailer. They hadn't looked at it yet. Three weeks later, I called and I talked with their secretary. She said they looked at it and couldn't fix it. (Didn't get a phone at all). I asked her what about the refrigerator. She said they haven't looked at it yet. I asked several more questions that she couldn't answer. I told her to have her boss call me. A week later no phone call from her boss. I went and picked up my trailer. No professionalism, no customer service, no communication, and no concern for the customer's property. I will never do business with them again. If you're that backed up, don't take anymore work until you get caught up. read more

Our experience with Gander RV has been and continues to be worse than a 1 star rating. Empty promises, poor customer service and some might say outright lies is what we continue to experience. We purchased a brand new RV and the roof leaked within days of owning it. Roger (GM) promised a brand new RV in 2-3 days (the 1st empty promise). It took over 2 weeks to get a new RV and we had to continuously call to get updates, after being promised by both Roger and Joey (Sales Manager) that getting us a new RV was their #1 priority. A week after returning our RV (a Friday), we were told our new RV was at the dealer. Joey told us they could not get our RV ready that weekend, as they had new deliveries to take care of first. I asked why we weren't their #1 priority, since already paid for our RV and didn't have the use of it. Joey said that their priority had to be the new deliveries. Roger called and said it wasn't the new deliveries, but they wanted to take the time to thoroughly inspect the RV and it would be ready on Monday. Not needing the RV until the following weekend, I said we could pick it up on Thursday...giving them almost a week to inspect it. Thursday came and I had to call Joey for an update, who said he would call me back. Joey never called and I got a call from Adam (the Service Manager) that it would not be ready until Friday (2 weeks after returning our 1st RV). When I asked Adam why, he just admitted they didn't get it done...some #1 priority. I arrived on Friday at 2:30pm to pick-up our 2nd brand new RV, being promised it was in perfect condition. 2 hours after arriving to pick it up and doing the walk through, they were still fixing all the things they missed, including trying to fix fuel cap warning and it wasn't even cleaned inside. I asked Roger and Adam why after giving them 3 extra days wasn't the RV in the perfect condition they promised...again no good answer other than they didn't do the inspection they promised...again some #1 priority. Yesterday we left to go camping and this morning discovered the kitchen sink leaked inside the cabinet and the hot water heater didn't work. I texted Roger and Adam about the issues and Adam had Nate (a technician) call me back, who tried his best to get them resolved, but couldn't. Nate acknowledged they must have not checked the hot water heater during their "thorough" inspection, as there is a known issue with a safety fuse being defective in hot water heater in our model. As for the leak in the kitchen sink, Gander just ran the water, but didn't check for leaks. Nate offered to come to our home when we returned to resolve the issues. I said we live about 45 mins from Gander and if you are willing to come to our home, you should be willing to come out to the campground, as it was only 1 hr and 25 mins from Gander RV. Adam called to tell me he couldn't send out a technician today, because they were understaffed. I said again, why weren't we a priority given we already paid for our RV and can't use the RV as intended? I said to Adam it's not that you can't, it's that aren't willing to do so. Oh...Roger has not even acknowledged my text...again, some #1 priority. I know this is a long review, but if you are considering buying a RV from Gander RV, be prepared for empty promises and poor customer service and if their is something wrong with your RV, you will not be their #1 priority...as they already have your money. read more

Bought a camper in February. Went camping the first time in April. The fresh water tank fills up when hooked to city water. Called 2 days ago to see about getting fixed. Still no call back. I've never had a camper before and when the showed us the camper the day we picked it up I didn't think anything about all the water on the ground while they had the city water hooked up. I know now it was because the fresh water tank was overflowing. They either knew something was wrong and didn't say anything or the guy doing the inspection had no clue something was wrong. Plus the haggling over price went on way to long. Told the guy three times I was done and to bring me my credit card and every time he came back he had a new deal. Finally settled on what we told him the max price was we could go. I was so pissed by the time we left. We were haggling over the price for an hour and a half. If it wasn't for them having my card, I would've left sooner. I won't go there again read more

We went in knowing what we wanted but unfortunately my husband's truck didn't have that type of tow package. Instead of letting us purchase it and spending a load of money on a towing part they assisted us in finding the best trailer for us. They treated us like family. We brought our Grand Design Fifth-Wheel in for warranty repairs during a trip. Our slide out broke and Grand Design wasn't cooperating very well. Madison Scruggs was our Service Manager that worked with us and she worked tirelessly to help work with the manufacturer, our dealership in TX to get the parts, get them installed promptly and get us back on the road. Madison amd the rest of the service team was awesome!! I'd go back to them again and highly recommend them for repairs and service. read more

Our salesperson, Ron Peery, and the Manager, Larry, were super fantastic to us and made us feel as important as their highest spending clients...lol.... For the past year and a half, my wife and I have been researching to purchase an recreational vehicle. Several of our friends recommended Thor Motor Coach based on reliability, customer support, and best bang for your buck. So, we went to Gander RV and Outdoors in Nashville, TN. to check their availability. As a result, we purchased a Thor Hurricane 34J on 27 July 2020. Upon initial inspection of the RV, we noticed the following discrepancies: 1. The mattress for the bed over the driver was missing. 2. The ladder for that bed was missing. 3. The Radio was missing. 4. No remote controls for several of the TVs. 5. The "Goody Bag" with all the misc. items to include the books were missing. It was obvious to my wife and I, this RV was probably cannibalized to fix deficiencies with other RVs. The Salesman and General Manager assured us all these discrepancies would be resolved by the following weekend when we came to pick up the RV. When we arrived the following weekend to pick up the RV, the only deficiency that was resolved was a radio was installed (which seems to work intermittently when we experience a bump in the road) and the ladder. As a result, the management gave us 2 folding chairs for our inconvenience and promissory note to resolve all the other issues by the following week. On 31 July, I received a phone call from Jenell Bronke with Thor Customer Service Team. I explained to her the issues mentioned above and she was very apologetic. She also tracked the order for the radio and mattress. She explained they had arrived on 28 July (which is strange because "a radio" was installed in our unit by 27th July when we picked up the RV. So, where did the Radio installed in the RV come from? Possibly another RV because the sales team at Gander informed us they had to order one. Please note, if the radio install in our RV was NEW, shouldn't It have come with a remote as well? When I checked with the parts manager at the dealership, they informed me that only a radio arrived and the mattress was on backorder. On 15 August, I stopped by Gander RV and Outdoors in Nashville to inquire about the deficiencies listed above. I was told the Parts manager was not available and they would follow up with me on Monday (17 August). Well today is now 23 August and I still have not heard anything from Gander RV and Outdoors in Nashville (Camping World). In light of the current pandemic, I have several friends that seem interested in purchasing an RV as a way to safely travel, lodge, and vacation. While I am very satisfied with the Thor line of RVs and wouldn't have a problem recommending Thor Motor Coach at this time, I am a little hard pressed to recommend Gander RV and Outdoors in Nashville, TN (Camping World) to anyone. read more

I put my RV in for service on Oct 26th 2020 and didn't get it back for eleven months. Gander was supposed to winterize my RV but failed to do so which resulted in frozen pipes which took eight months for Gander to repair. I'm sure this was due to them not making any money off of the repairs. The major repair they were to complete was never done due to their lack of knowledge on the system. There are some nice people there but they lack training and the management doesn't communicate nor hold their depths accountable. Do yourself a favor and get your equipment service two blocks north at Camping World (who owns Gander). read more

We bought my daughter a new East to West Silverlave travel from Gander. She is living in it full time so she is unable to keep taking it back to the dealer. She has had to pay out over $600 for the mobile mechanic to come 4 times already. There was a bad roof vent over the fridge and when it rained it flooded the wall and the electrical panel. She had to totally disconnect the electric and such because the wiring at the panel looked like it had arc flashed or something and burned some of the wiring. The quickest Camping World could get somebody out to fix it was 2 weeks which would have left her practically homeless. Thank God Good Sam has a mobile mechanic that was able to come out today and get her fixed up but it cost me $490 out of pocket. Their service has zero sense of urgency. They owe me $490 for this total inconvenience to my daughter. This is turning out to be a real lemon. read more

Here are the problems with my 2022 35R 4WD Super C Nexus RV Hub cap bolts came off very first time unit was driven. Hub caps themselves came off very first trip. Distance for first trip - 30 miles. No ladder for overhead bed? With the amount of money spent shouldn't be an option but a necessity. Honestly, how does someone climb into the overhead bunks. No quick connect for outdoor grill, has been on order since 4 June 2021. Dealer problem, maybe, still not here on the 27th of August. CONTACTED BY DEALER AND PART PUT ON ORDER ABOUT THE 25TH OF SEPTEMBER. NO WORD YET! Locks for side panels work sometimes, and sometimes they don't. Want someone into your Nexus, just lock them. Blind for upper bunk coming off the window. No one even used this bunk. Looks like exhaust pipe under carriage is coming off. If a bump is hit, it may just jam it into the bottom of carriage. FIXED BY INTERNATIONAL - BUT NOT PAID FOR BY NEXUS Great radio. No CD as a advertised, but is touch screen. No SiriusXM radio, and no way to hook it up. Why no GPS? It looks as though it used to have a SiriusXM radio in it at one time, but took it out when the unit was built and not replaced. No connection for cable TV or Satellite. Can only watch over the air TV. If a satellite is attached to unit, how do you use it. How do you connect to park Cable TV? Shower leaks, but I don't know from where. Wet floors were the proof. 4 square foot panel under passenger door coming off and a danger to anyone behind me. Extreme danger to anyone following me, large or small. FIXED BY INTERNATIONAL - BUT NOT PAID FOR BY NEXUS Any way to tighten up the driving, so loose it feels like it is going to turn over when making a quick turn or being passed by a larger vehicle. RV is not level. Back is lower than front. Having problems getting into my driveway with a 2" drop because back drags. INTERNATIONAL AND NEXUS SAY THIS IS CORRECT. 25-30 gallons of antifreeze used during trip from Nashville, TN to Springfield, MO. FIXED BY INTERNATIONAL - BUT NOT PAID FOR BY NEXUS RV has been in the shop for twelve weeks now doing work. It is at the International Dealer in Lebanon, TN. They are doing what they can under warranty. In the early rebels we had no way to relocate the antenna. We now have that capability and have a kit your dealer can install. The cd slot is just below the screen I will attach a video of the cd. August 15 at 6:09 AM Bought a NEW 5th wheel July 10th, Cullam and Maxey delivered and set up for me that day(Great)After 2 weeks noticed water under shower,after investigation found shower was leaking,no problem right?(new RV I live in full time) called to have it fixed. Numerous calls and finally was told they would come fix it .Tonya called 2 weeks ago today said they would send someone out the next few days(Great right?) As I was flushing my Black tank for the 1st time I hooked up to Black Tank flush to discover it is not working either!! I call early and leave a message for the Service Dept to make sure they brought all the tools necessary to fix the problem. As I used my outside shower the 1st time water leaked all around the faucet(nothing tight at all.) With all the PREP that was suppose to be done before delivery how was this missed? As of today(08/15/2018) I have yet to receive a call as to when service is coming to fix my NEW Rv! During the buying process numerous times from sales (Bob Best, Davin Smith,that we have a exceptional service Dept. Have not seen any service at all. After three trips to Nashville from Clarksville, we realized we were getting the run-around from Camping World and their salesman (Matt). We left in frustration, and, on an impulse, stopped in at Cullum and Maxey. We were greeted at the door by Larry Leaver. We told him what type of camper we were interested in and what our budget was. my husband and I decided it was time to buy that Camper we have considered for some time. We first went to another dealer and were treated rudely so we drove down the road to Gander RV and were treated so well !! we ended up buying right then and there as they had exactly what we wanted, they did NOT try to upsell us nor pressure us, in truth we had to say umm we want to buy this NOW, haha . Steven was our salesperson and he and the General Manager both worked with us and treated us with respect as well as did not rush us at all even though when we left it was already past closing time. Not one staff member looked like they wanted us out the door fast lol and they were friendly and genuine !! they showed us all the options in our price range and did not try to show us campers out of our range which I respected, they also found answers to questions we had not known yet needed about our truck etc.. if you want a good buying experience NO matter the budget as we bought it on sale and were treated as though it was the highest cost one. I purchased my RV when this center was Cullum and Maxey. During that time the service center was very receptive and customer focused. My last few communications have been quite the opposite. I was asked to make an appointment to drop my vehicle off so an estimate could be prepared. I reached out after the first week, to ask what that would be and was told that my vehicle is in the que and would be looked at soon, after the gentlemen on the call felt that I should be scolded and school on how busy they are these days. Isn't everyone! I'm at 3 weeks now without any communication what so ever. Can't get a call through to the service center nor a call back. Needless to say that this will be my last visit and I will make sure my club members are aware of my attempt to get service at this location. read more
