SUMMARY: A Malevolent Monopoly for Forestry Supplies. - Most recently, ordered a treated long-sleeve shirt. The order was for the EXACT item ordered previously i.e., color, size .... I now have it ( $58 shirt ) and this 'duplicate' is made of an entirely different material, making it useless to me for summer work. - Have a Nelson Paint Gun ( Hand pump style ) still sitting unused. The internal parts are so poorly fitted making it guaranteed useless for a days work. I ordered a dibble from Forestry Suppliers for my wife's birthday. On the website the dibble looks like it is painted orange but when we opened it there were many nicks, chips, and spots where the coating had flaked or peeled off. I contacted their customer service and was told that the damage was normal and it would lose paint as soon as we used it anyways. I told them this was unacceptable because a new item should indeed look new, and then it is on us to put wear and tear on it. I asked for a $20 partial credit back or for an exchange. They offered $10 or an exchange at our expense for shipping. I refused and they upped the offer to $10 credit back and then $10 dollar store credit on a future item as if I would ever purchase from them again. Again I refused and let them know I would be taking $10 back on my card and would be posting reviews. They then came back offering to send a shipping label for a full refund but told me all their other ones are similarly marked/damaged so there was no suitable replacement. I have honestly never been through such a stupid customer service process. If the website warned of nicks and chips in the paint then yeah sure, but to treat me like I was crazy for expecting a new looking item has just been laughable. Can you imagine ordering a new pair of shoes and they show up with scuffs on them and then customer service tells you that you would scuff them when you wear them so the scuffs are normal? Comon. Horrible Customer Service. I purchased two hand auger ratchet handles. I installed one and on the very first use, very first hole, very first turn, the ratchet mechanism randomly hung up. I kept trying with the same result. Rather than try the other and risk not being able to return either, I called Forestry to explain the problem and advise that I would return both and purchase the other style. Purchasing the other style was no problem. When it came time for the return, I was told they couldnt do a full refund because the item had been used. Here is the Forestry response: "...We are more than happy to offer you the partial credit for this handle, or as a secondary option we can send it back to you and you are welcome to use it however you'd like. Just following our company policy, this item has been used, so in that decision there is no real way for us to sell it up at our front counter." Tell me, how in the h&ll would you know an internal mechanism was defective if you didnt try it? And why would I want a broken tool back? BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! I ordered an axe from them a couple of weeks ago. The website said that it was in stock. I received an order confirmation and then a shipping confirmation and tracking number the next day. When the package did not arrive after 4-5 days (it was supposed to be shipped USPS Priority Mail with 2 day shipping) I contacted the company. After numerous emails back and forth denying any responsibility for the lack of inventory, but also claiming that they informed me that the item was on backorder (they did not) they curtly offered to refund my money. Why they are allowed to take someones money and not tell them that the item is on backorder is beyond me. Is that even legal? read more

Ordered a roll of 200 yellow plastic no trespassing signs. The ink came off easily. I was told it was a bad batch so returned them. They were replaced by others having almost the same poor quality. Many signs were smeared and ink rubs off with a finger nail and light touch. I cannot recommend this supplier, as they said they would make sure they were good before sending second roll. Update- Apparently the poor ink problem is a serious issue not being addressed. Company failed to contact me again or attempt to make us happy, after receiving replacement signs just as poor as first ones. Ordered two fire shovels. Very expensive, Maybe $75 each. Ordered them to carry in the truck in case of ground fire. Shovels are very heavy which defeats the purpose. Came in a box with at least ten gallons of styrofoam peanuts. What am I supposed to do with them? I ordered shovels and ordered shovel guards and then the shovels came with guards so now I have four guards for two shovels. These people don't seem to understand quality, service or modern transporting of merchandise. Not a company I want to do business with. read more

This is the first time in my life that I am going out of my way to write a bad review. I placed an order on Forestry Suppliers website for a much-needed product; it was "In Stock." I did the online order and paid, got confirmation. The next day I receive an email that I have to send them a purchase order, which I did. Upon submitting the purchase order, I received another email that my order has been canceled. Customer service instructed me to re-order and they will take care of it. NOW the item is "out-of-stock!" I asked about this, and they kept reassuring me that they are handling it. A week later, after emailing them DAILY for shipping confirmation, not only was I informed that the item is now "out of stock," but it's being ordered from CHINA, and due to virus they have no idea when they might ship it. WHY COULDN`T they have told me this from the beginning?!?!?!?! It would have saved me a week of waiting on very time sensitive parts!!! Now I had to pay hundreds more from another site for it to get to the job on time. Items received does not match items ordered. I ordered "pink" taffeta flagging about one month ago, once I received the flagging it was in no way what was shown on their website. I understand that colors can be shown differently online versus in person. But, I have had a near perfect history of ordering a color I have needed and received what I wanted. Not this time, I ordered a "pink" taffeta flagging because normally "pink glo" is sometimes too dark and what I received was some form of bubble gum pink flagging. This flagging was so light colored that when you pulled it off the roll it was closer to white than pink... Long story short, upon talking to Customer Service, I was told it was my mistake and that I should never rely on what the picture shows... They did accept my return and gave me credit, I paid for the shipping back to Forestry Suppliers at a rate of about $185 dollars for 240 rolls of flagging on the understanding that I "thought" they were covering the shipping coming back to me... Apparently not. Our multi billion dollar timber products company orders literally thousands and thousands of dollars worth in merchandise through Forestry-Suppliers each year. It is unfortunate to see a company not comp about $70 dollars of shipping on their end for my reorder. My advice to the company would be to make sure all your photos on your website accurately portray the item in which you are ordering. I understand that, that was the item I ordered. We recently purchased an item (Granges Rubber Boots) that were mis-sized. After reading some reviews of this item we discovered there were similar complaints so this was not an isolated incident. When contacting Forestry Suppliers to request a return label we were told we needed to pay the return shipping on our own. What we were NOT told is that in order to receive a refund we needed to return them in the original packaging. Because we had to pay for the return shipping I reduced the packaging to save unnecessary expense. One month later we received the same boots back with no refund stating that they must be in original packaging. So let's get to the point: Forestry Suppliers Inc. has now paid two shipping fees, we have paid two shipping fees, and still WE CAN NOT USE THE BOOTS. When I contacted Lena, manager at Forestry Suppliers, she argued with me refusing to provide a shipping label to return them or to refund us. She talked over me as I was trying to engage her in the logic behind my complaint. When all is said and done we have a pair of size 12 (probably more like 11) Granges Boots and we are over $100 in the hole after paying for a product we cant use and the associated shipping charges. I ordered a few rolls of reflective flagging on April 30th, and two weeks later it's still not here. I contacted customer service 3 times now, and all I want is a refund. But NO. I'm suppose to go check the main apt. office (AGAIN), my mailbox (AGAIN), and the local post office. Oh and by the way, I had it shipped through UPS, but for some reason it was transferred to USPS and they're acting like I should have known this. I've talked to 3 customer service reps now and still nothing. The order was only $45-50, but it's still frustrating, because they keep telling me the package has arrived and that it's totally normal for a package to take 2 weeks to arrive to Washington state. Oh, and they also did not send me a shipping confirmation email (they told me that it probably just went to my spam...right).
