Forestview in Lindsay has been the home of our dad for the last five years. It is a hidden gem in Lindsay. Healthy, home cooked meals are served three times a day in a bright, friendly, warm setting. The owner Shane lives right next door and is one of the nicest people we have ever met. The staff are exceptionally caring and friendly. The environment is safe, interactive and upbeat. Residents need to be able to care for themselves (get dressed on their own and bathe on their own). Our dad was in between stages of his life. He could easily dress himself and look after his own bathing but was not capable of planning, purchasing and making his own meals. Forestview looks after all the meals and I mean very healthy, delicious, homemade meals. They also make sure he takes his medication twice a day. There is a nice mix of residents, both male and female and about 15 residents in total. Some residents have their own little apartments within the building while others like my dad have a single room with a shared bathroom (with one other person). Some of the residents are still quite independent (some still drive their own cars) while others like my dad enjoy sitting in the backyard watching the birds at the feeder or sitting out front watching people walk by.
In summary Forestview is a 10/10. They have been a lifesaver for our family and we can not thank them enough !! read more
