    Chocolate chip pancakes & tempeh
    Katie G.

An amazing vegan brunch experience! The chocolate chip pancakes with tempeh were amazing and I dream of them. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. My husband loved the breakfast enchiladas. Cute spot with outdoor seating. We arrived early, shortly after they opened, and did not take long to receive our food. Highly recommend!

Stopped in here for dinner after seeing the reviews and just as everyone says, this place is pretty amazing. Everything that we had was flavorful and fresh from the Baja Tacos w/cauliflower to the dragon bowl which I highly recommend.

Probably the best vegan location we've been to; we have tried Los Angeles, Bay Area, New York and this place blew our mind. Everything was damn good! Do yourself a favor and try this place. Vegan or not, it wonderful!

Best vegan cauliflower tacos I've ever had. The food was amazing. Very tourist friendly & some of the servers speak English. The menu is in Spanish but easy enough to figure out tacos, açaí bowls, burger & fries, spaghetti etc. The matcha tea made with coconut juice tasted like they did not skimp on the matcha. They use eco friendly bamboo straws. Wish they had this restaurant in California. I will miss it.

Really good place for vegans! Came for breakfast. We had the Motuleños, Enchildas Verdes & Torta de Chilaquiles! Plus Matcha latte, Chai latte & regular cafe latte. Everything so delicious! The service was excelente too, they made you feel welcome. The ambiance is nice too both inside & outside seating. They placed chill/coffee shop style music inside. Unfortunately forgot to take a picture of the enchiladas verdes but trust they were delicious, the salsa was chef's kiss.

First - Forever Vegano is in an amazing art deco/beaux arts building - the facade on the first floor is painted dark grey with white for all the flourishes and embellishments, I sure hope the rest of the building is restored as it will be quite striking. Inside, Forever Vegano is cozy - it's got a loft area (shoes free!) with cushions and small tables on the first floor with a bench that has plenty of cushions. My friend and I both had mandarin orange juice and chilaquiles -- both were very delicious. All the clientele seemed to be foreigners (except for my friend, of course) and I wonder if that's due to some social media promotion or Yelp reviews being mostly in English. Service was a little slow but overall the place is pretty laid back and relaxed. The bathrooms were tidy and I loved how the toilets are in small non-gender-specific rooms with a shared wash area. Definately plan to return on my next visit!

Wonderful breakfast! My chilaquiles were spectacular and my husband's molcajetes were the best we had in CDMX. I also got a peanut butter tart which, I mean, the picture speaks for itself. It was superb. I loved the fruit on top, which lightened a very rich dessert. Our waiter was excellent, he was extremely sweet and polite. I wish we had had time to visit more than once!

Forever has become a staple during my visits to CDMX, as the Airbnb I stay at just happens to be right across the street. I eat breakfast there every morning before heading out on adventures and every morning I start the day off right by doing so! The atmosphere is casual and friendly. Servers are very attentive and service-oriented. They happily answer any questions about the menu. My favorites are the enfrijoladas which are filled with a tofu scramble and topped with avocado and tomatoes. Their cold brew is also quite tasty. The seating upstairs is limited to cushions placed on the floor. Downstairs there are tables along the wall with bench-type seating as well. There is also al-fresco seating available if you're visiting during the warmer months.

My boyfriend is vegan and he discovered this place the day we were leaving and was upset because it was right next door to our air bnb and we had no idea! We arrived late in the day so they were closed. We tried a couple dishes before our flight and it was so delicious! Exactly what you look for in vegan food when you're out of the country. The flavors were great.

Let me preface this with the fact that I had already been in CDMX for over ten days and had fulfilled all my cravings. You name it, I had had it. I was ready to detox. It was a welcome blessing to have Forever so close by the AirBnB I was staying at and needless to say it was a no-brainer to walk the few steps to the place. I just about had all my meals there for a few days. Everything was exquisitely prepared and the service was excellent. I didn't have a meal there I wouldn't rave about. Same goes for the service. I have seen reviews where there were complaints about the price but I thought the prices were fair. If you consider quality and variety of the ingredients that go into their dishes and have you ever tried to prepare a vegan meal? I am not vegan just because I don't have the time to shop for and prepare these meals. As I said before, I thought the prices were fair but this is relative. I think the most I spent was $270 Pesos and the least was $190 not including tip.

Was in a 4 hr layover in CDMX and while I prefer not to leave the airport during traveling with a 4 hr layover and a hungry tummy I knew that I'd have to try some place out. So happy that Mexico City offers many Vegan spots, nevertheless a lot of them are closed on Monday so out of all the options my brother chose Forever and my goodness was I and he (though it was his birthday and he is a meat lover) were left satisfied. Pambazo's have a always been my favorite Mexican food and I knew that I'd have to let my love for them go because not only do I not eat meat and cheese but I don't eat gluten and the bread makes it when you order a pambazo, so the fact they had a gluten free, dairy free and meat free pambazo left me in total awe. It was all I ever dreamed of! Super good, best vegan anything I've ever tried. So happy to have had the time to stop and enjoy this place. The tacos were also fricken amazing! And I also don't eat soy so the fact they weren't soy based made me the happiest Mexican ever. Best vegan restaurant I've tried yet! Muy delicioso muchísimas gracias por existir :)

Really good Baja California tacos and tacos de pastor. Just missing the salsa. Also would recommend the dragon bowl.

I had dinner with my mom at La Pitahaya a week or so ago for our last meal together in Mexico City…read more The restaurant is entirely vegan, 100% plant-based. My mom is vegan, and I'm not (technically, I'm a very lapsed vegan), but this menu was one that I was excited to try, too! We shared the al pastor and pineapple dumplings (4 steamed dumplings filled with mushrooms and roasted pineapple puree, served over green salsa and ponzu), which were great. (It was hard to choose between these dumplings and the huitlacoche dumplings!) We also shared the crunchy cucumber salad (with fresh radish, sesame, lime, mint, and guajillo), which was simple and refreshing. Then we had to try some of their tacos - served on their famous pink tortillas. We tried three of their tacos, but the pastor de setas (organic mushrooms al pastor, pineapple, and spring onions) was our hands down favorite. They're an alcohol-free restaurant, but I enjoyed my tepache (fermented pineapple drink with piloncillo), to which I added a hibiscus chamoy rim). They offer other fun N/A drinks: amaranth horchata, hibiscus water, and more. The service was great, and the restaurant was cool - open air, great on a warm day, bright, comfortable. Of all the vegan restaurants we tried in Mexico City, I think La Pitahaya was my favorite. The food was great, and our meal was fun. I'd happily return.

I can't overstate how much we loved this place! I went to Mexico City with my vegan husband…read morerecently and was so pleasantly surprised with just how many vegan options there were within the city. I am not vegan, so I normally search for a place that has both but this place was so close to our hotel, it was hard to resist. Genuinely- I was blown away, even as an omnivore. Everything was really affordable and quick and I managed to snap a pic of the tacos I ordered, even though my husband devoured his torta before I could document it. We came back for lunch the next day. It's relatively small, but there is seating inside and outside and it is pretty fast, so spots open up quick. If you are vegan or with a vegan- don't miss out on this spot!

We tried the vegan milanesa, al pastor, and suadero tacos, which come with onion and cilantro; and guacamole with chips. When we first arrived we were seated right away. The food came out fairly decently, but all at different times. There is some indoor and outdoor seating, but neither space is very big. The service was a little mixed; one waitress seemed to initially have a negative attitude, but then later was fine; the other waitress who helped us was more friendly; I'll chalk it up to the fact that it was a Sunday night one hour before closing. The food itself tasted good, but nothing out of this world. This place has a punk rock vibe. Overall, I would potentially come back.
