The teachers and the administration, unfortunately, did not have the childhood relational skillset to effectively address the challenges with positive alternatives and lessons. So, we pulled her out of that school and enrolled her in Malvern. Although it was a bit uncomfortable for her at first, in a very short time she adjusted and became very excited to attend school every day (weekdays). The administration and teachers have helped our daughter develop so much over the past two years. The dedication, commitment to teaching, and overall love, care, and safety shown by the administration and the teachers is phenomenal. The curriculum is very stimulating and encourages our daughter to process problems, stretch beyond her challenges, all while she is enjoying herself. We truly appreciate Maggie and her staff for all that they have done, and for all that they continue to do for our daughter and her friends (classmates) at Malvern of Erial. Our daughter began attending Cornerstone Montessori when she was three and has been there for two…read moreyears. She has had a wonderful learning experience there and I credit her teachers for the warm and caring environment in which all the students are learning. The children learn everything from personal responsibility and life skills to learning how to read and write, developing a strong foundation in math skills, and an understanding of the world around us through social studies, geography, and science. The students enjoy weekly lessons in Spanish, cooking, gym, art, music, and more. The students also experience at least two field trips during the school year, playing in the snow (as long as they bring appropriate snow gear), Bike Day at the end of each month, a few celebrations, such as International Day where families come in and teach the students about their heritage. CMS encourages family involvement, whether it's participating in special events or coming in to teach a lesson. Families may be as involved as they choose to be and aren't pressured to do more than they can give. Cornerstone Montessori also offers before- and after-school care for working parents like us and three 2-week summer sessions. The summer sessions are great for parents who would like to check out the school and see if it is right for their child as well as for students who are already enrolled to maintain the skills they have developed during the school year and continue on their learning path. The summer sessions are more relaxed and additional fun activities are scheduled. We are so pleased with our experience at Cornerstone Montessori, and we are sure you will be, too. She did a summer of camp (which compared to others is reasonably priced). She also goes for after school care during the school year. Some of the oscura: concerns are lack of communication and the school/ daycare calendar is not in sync with the local schools so this has caused conflict with schedules. I would recommend this daycare to anyone in the surrounding care (of course as long as you have open communication).

I withdrew my child from this center for a myriad of reasons that compounded over the short 6 months that he was enrolled: 1- unclean: the establishment always smelled dreadful. My child contracted hand foot and mouth in his second week of daycare. He proceeded to have such a severe case that we took him to the ER because he was so dehydrated and refused to eat due to pain. He had to miss school for 2 full weeks of school. I made the daycare aware of this and they didn't have the decency to even respond. $700 in prepaid tuition lost due to no fault of our own. 2- about a month before my decision to withdraw my child, "incidents" started happening. At least once a week, I'd get an incident report. Once, there were two incident reports in a day. One of the times, he went home with a big scratch across his forearm. 3- lacks transparency: cameras are present in the daycare, but they are only "live streamed" so if an incident happens, there's no recording to watch. The daycare allows parents to go look at the cameras, but you're required to let the daycare know before you drop by.. kind of defeats the whole purpose. 4- Management is inflexible, unkind, lacks basic empathy. So please, before you decide to enroll your child there, consider this review, and search them up on facebook for another parent's account of what happened to her child in this center.

The pre-school teachers, Vanessa and Tyasia attempted to cover up the incident. Tyasia then breached my confidentiality as a parent and gave mine and my husband's personal information to her mother, who posted our photos online on Facebook and defamed our character, accusing us of threatening her daughter. Vanessa and Tyasia made several false statements to management about the situation. The new owners, Jackie and Mike Salters, were awful to deal with, completely unreasonable and heartless. They sided with the teachers, even when my husband and I both explained that the teachers were being dishonest. Jackie and Mike decided to still employ Tyasia-even after I informed them that Tyasia gave my personal info to a third-party, her mother, who used it to attack me and my family online. These issues raise major concerns about the safety of the children at this school and the parents who entrust their children and personal information with the staff. I went through all of this while studying for the bar exam; the owners were well aware of this, but showed no compassion for my family. Jackie kicked my three-year-old out of pre-school, when my daughter was the victim-she was bit in the face by another child and the staff tried to cover it up! Jackie and Mike put us out like garbage on the street and with only a few days notice. I have never been treated so poorly, but worst of all, my innocent baby girl suffered as a result. The Goddard school caused my daughter and my family severe emotional distress and will be further investigated by the State. Protect your children, and stay away from this horrible place at all costs!
