Well, I was really hoping to be eating and reviewing the food but after 2+ hours I finally found out they had never started my online order. Even after a phone call, where I was told it was 3rd up. The Bad, I'ts hard to categorize having an open and caring heart as being a characteristic of "The Bad" however helping out someone who has strayed from the path of virtue and giving them a chance and opportunity to correct their course is the only culpability of Misty and Dave, the owners this establishment. The restaurant has the typical order at the counter and pick your own seat style of service, or you can call ahead and pick up. They also do delivery locally for around $2.00. I ordered the cup of brisket chili and it was fantastic, it came with shredded cheddar and Fritos which were a good addition! I also added on the recommended cornbread which was fresh and tasty! My friend ordered a pepperoni & green olive pizza on a thin crust and it smelled amazing, she loved it. We also got some Bundtinis, they hadn't taken them out of the freezer yet but they were thawed by the time we got them! My friend was given the wrong flavor but she liked it anyway! It was a brisk, cool day in Maple Plain and I was really craving a CURDIZZA from Forkless. As I walked briskly through the parking lot, anxiously anticipating a hot, steamy, fresh ooey gooey slice of CURDIZZA, I entered Forkless with a smile on my face. I was greeted by the friendly staff. My personal favorite is the owner, Dave. He said "WELCOME INTO FORKLESS" as I entered. "Dave! You know why I'm here!" I excitedly replied. "ONE CURDIZZA COMING UP" Dave yelled to the little high schoolers in the back. My CURDIZZA was ready PRONTO and I ate that s**t right up. Pizza dough wasn't fully cooked. Pizza wasn't even cut into slices so bad to go back inside to have them slice it and it still wasn't cut completely through. Hardly any toppings on our Smokehouse pizza and it wasn't cheap. I hate to say it, but this was our last time ordering from ForkLess. I phone in an order. They tell me it will be ready in 30 min. I get there 35 min and it's not ready. They seem to be confused as to whether I even called in an order. So, I repeat the order and am told it will take 15 min. 35 min later the food is ready. It's what I saw in that 35 min that was eye opening. The cashier who screwed up taking my order comes out to wipe down tables. Wipes a table....then uses the same cleaning rag to wipe down seats....wipes down the next table.... and then the seats....repeat. The pizza prep guy, who is wearing latex gloves, cones over to work the register. Handles credit cards, cash and the register. Goes back to making more pizzas without changing gloves or even washing his hands. It's too bad because the pizza is pretty solid. read more

We've ordered from here a handful of times with varying results. It has most certainly gone downhill at a rapid pace in the last handful of months. Our last order was 2 pizzas and the "pigs in a blanket", which is mini-hotdogs wrapped in dough. The hotdogs were so charred they might as well been charcoal briquettes and the dough was rock hard. We reached out to tell them via phone (left a voicemail because they didn't answer) and email.. also no response. The pizza was once pretty good for this part of town. But like other food from this restaurant, it has progressively gotten worse. The ingredients they're using are obviously of lower quality than early on. The pizza was awful. Way too salty and the crust was underdone in some spots and overdone in others. My husband, daughter and I all felt horrible after eating it and must've gone through a gallon of water each just trying to get the feeling back in our tongue. We are in Delano for a wedding and decided to order for delivery. This place was beyond our expectations! Everything was delicious and delivery was very prompt. Side salad was a generous portion, the habanero dry rub wings were very flavorful, pretzel was larger than expected and great. The loaded baked beans were phenomenal! Kind of a hole in the wall but glad we gave it a try! The owner was super friendly. We all got the pizza special - 12" for $7 with one topping. What a great deal. You can see the kitchen from the dining area so we watched our pizzas go through the oven. Careful, it's HOT! It was so good I wanted to eat it right away but recommend waiting for it to cool. The old joint was mediocre at best, so when we were visiting this year and needed a close by take out option, we figured let's see what the new place has going on. She got so upset and flustered, she treated us so poorly. She then accused us of not picking an order up last Friday or Saturday. EDIT: Tried it again, and the ribs, the sauces were as good as the first time. Had them delivered and arrived on time - but they didn't provide the sauces I requested. To their credit they came out a 2nd time and delivered the proper sauces. My only complaint is the woman who took the call about the incorrect sauces was quite surly. She argued about "it was busy" and "their people were out on a catering job". I get all those things, but really isn't my problem. Regardless they solved the problem, and I guess what more can you ask for? Ribs were great. Wow. What great ribs. It has been a long time since I have had ribs this good, and never have I had them in Minnesota. We ordered a selection of all their sauces to see which ones we would like and they we all different, but all fantastic. I have found rib places in Minnesota generally offer bland, tasteless ribs slathered in bland tomato sauce. These were spiced just right, moist and down right delicious. The default seems to be a dry rub that seals in the flavor of the meat - you then choose what and how much sauce to usServing size was also generous. I need to try this again to make sure it wasn't a fluke, but I think this might be the real deal out in Maple Plain. Looking forward to my next meal from Forkless. read more
