Vito Lucco is absolutely not what you'd expect given their location in the gas station! The wood fired pizza was affordable, quickly prepared, and had a lovely textured crust. It was easy to order and there were a lot of options for different topping combos. The sauce on the margherita pizza was more of a marinara vs the San Marzano tomato base I was expecting. A great and easy place to stop for lunch if you're in the area!

Best pizza in town! Crust is cooked perfect and the sauce is so flavorful. The owner is super friendly and the pizza comes out quick! Yum!!!

Being from Jersey, we get pizza. Pizza in all shapes and sizes from coal, wood, and conventional ovens. Top notch ingredients, made with love, and about as close to the real "Italian" homeland pizza as you can possibly get. After arriving in Minneapolis, I never imagined to try a pie that got as close. Vito Lucco does it and passes the pizza test with flying colors. Upon arriving at Fulton Brewery, I found myself starving, so I simply walked outside to the Vito Lucco truck to grab a Margherita and a Don Vito. The pies were ready in 10 minutes and I was notified by text message when they were ready for pickup. Convenient is an understatement. A bring-your-own-food brewery where I can enjoy a draft while I wait for wood fired pizza? YES. It's 10 inches of heaven.... And please don't take that quote out of context.

You have no idea how ecstatic I was when my boyfriend texted me on Cinco De Mayo, "There's a taco…read moretruck by our house". I seriously drove home like a MAD WOMAN. What a beautiful thing it is to have a food truck in the burbs (Mounds View)!! Here's what your wallet can get: $2 tacos or $8 tortas w your choice of the following meats (forgive my complete inability to evoke the simplest Spanish. Uh, pollo?): Steak, Chicken, pork, chorizo, cow tongue, roasted beef, chorizo+steak They are served on small corn tortillas w choice of red (hot!) or green sauce, diced onions, cilantro, and lime. Here's what you get: Really f-ing happy. And that is my "clean" description. My bf said that this was just like what he's eaten in Cancun. And he refers to Americanized Mexican food as "dog food" and "slop" haha, so he can attest that this is authentic. Straight forward and simple good food. My faves are the cow tongue (give it a chance, it's like tender steak) and the chorizo/steak combo. The tacos are small, so I can eat 4 at least. My bf could prob eat 5+. Neither of us have tried or seen the tortas yet. And they have jarritos soda available too. Here's where you can get it: Old Highway 10, between County Rd H and I. Vino & Stogies (Mon-Tues) BP Station (Across from McD's) (Weds-Thurs) Cenex Gas Station (next to Fedor's Market) (Weekends) It's possible I might be off on the days, but I've been stalking and interrogating them so I think I might have it down. If not, just keep your eyes peeled in the area!

I was skeptical as I had developed the belief that any food truck outside the state fair, or the corner of 8th and Marquette, was taboo. How little do I know...as I seem to find more and more as I age ungracefully. I kept turning down her offers to run over for a quick bite, until she pulled into the gas station lot one day on our way back from errands. No way to back out now. Being it winter at the moment I've been craving these dang things and losing my mind. They're small, and maybe a bit over priced if you're used to a quick Taco Bell fix but man are they well worth it. The abundance of fresh cilantro, hot sauce, and the absorbent shells get me every time. Love the Chorizo tacos, but I can't say I've tried anything other than that or Chicken. Depending on the day, there can be a bit of a wait, as they're often cooking up the meat right there and then, so it's fresh. The lady working is always smiling, and very kind. Thanks to Kara, I am now aware of where this spectacular joint is parked the other days of the week. P.S. Saw them at Grand Old Day last June. Made my day.

The menu on the truck was updated with correct inventory and ordering was easy. Pro tip- there's a cash discount! I ordered a large pizza to go half cheese half pepperoni and was satisfied. I sampled 3 items from Mario's, an appetizer (Ciabatta Parm Bites), a small 8" pizza (Meat Eaters), and a dessert (Classic Cannoli). Every bite of my food was wonderful. And judging from the number of people lining up to get food, many other people agree with me. The employees at the brewery were also grabbing food and raving about Mario's. Yum! As a final note (to avoid confusion), this truck is NOT the same business as the bricks n' mortar restaurant in Watertown. The truck is an independent business that simply licensed the name from the restaurant several years ago. I had a nice conversation with the owner and he explained it to me. I don't hand out many 5 star reviews but Mario's deserves it. I highly recommend trying this truck if it's in your area. Thumbs up! -Maxx

As evidenced by the name, Tiki Tim's focuses mainly on island inspired cuisine (save for the fried pickles). Their menu is fairly modest in size, comprised of Tiki (shrimp and crab) cakes, fish tacos, a Hawaiian influenced pulled pork sandwich and a smattering of side dishes. While the choices are limited, they've all been quite good. The fish tacos are the highlight for me, with generous pieces of crispy and not-too-greasy fish, but you really can't wrong with anything (bring a knife and fork for the pork sandwich). The converted big blue Chevy is easy to spot on the streets, the service is friendly and the prices are reasonable. Given that we're about as far from the coasts as possible and a long haul from Hawaii, it's nice to see someone aspiring to bring the tropical mindset to the streets of the Twin Cities.
