This team did all the heavy lifting of my 1920s upright piano, massive armours, and wide tables without scratching walls and floor. They remained flexible and even worked through the rain. All furniture was reassembled as agreed upon. Truly a quick and easy move. I recommend this moving company.

Prior to storage, we elected full coverage insurance and were assured that the company had extensive experience handling and storing antique and high-value furniture for our sizable amount of belongings in a 6k square foot home. Upon delivery, we discovered that the majority of our items were severely broken or damaged, and nearly all were affected by what appeared to be mold or mildew. Moisture readings on our antique furniture measured approximately 60%, and in some cases, moving blankets had adhered to the surfaces. All of this damage was witnessed and assessed by not only their moving team but a manager they sent out to our home the following day who was in complete shock at the staggering amount of damage. After Sandhills filed our insurance claim, for our elected full insurance, we learned from the insurance carrier that the required paperwork was not fulfilled by Sandhills despite being required under their own policy. This administrative oversight voided our full coverage protection and reduced our compensation to $2.50 per pound, which is far below the replacement value of the affected items. When we initially raised this issue, a manager, Pat, assured us it would be corrected, but subsequent calls were not returned, and our attempts to follow up have been unsuccessful. Pat refuses to speak to us and the secretary hung up on us. All of these conversations have been recorded and we have proof of all statements made by the insurance, Sandhills, their movers, managers, and any/all parties involved because NC is a one party consent to record. My husband and I are both 100% disabled Army veterans with four children, one of whom has a severe disability and Sandhills was abundantly aware of this. Following the delivery, our family has experienced health issues consistent with mold exposure. A licensed mold specialist advised us to seal off all affected items to prevent contamination of our newly renovated home, leaving a significant amount of our belongings to include all major furniture such as living room furniture, bedroom sets, mattresses, and dining room furniture unusable. This situation has caused substantial financial, logistical, emotional, and health challenges for our family. While we understand that mistakes can occur, we are shocked that there has been no meaningful resolution or constructive communication to address the matter and ZERO accountability. I tried to contact the owner Jason Birdsall via phone, email, and his Facebook with no response. We hope that by sharing our experience, others will have the information needed to make an informed decision to look elsewhere during a move or storage need. We are now being forced to pay for a lawyer to seek legal representation in this matter. No family should ever have to suffer like this.

It started out with them trying to get me to change my moving truck promising something cheaper, it ended up being 2-3 times more expensive; so I didn't switch. Then, they cancelled on my packing job in Georgia almost leaving me stranded. (In hindsight, this should have been a red flag.) Finally in North Carolina the movers showed up not just late but after the time I told them the move would need to be done by in order to return the truck. We agreed on a morning 7-9 move with a afternoon 1-3 backup. They showed up at 3:36 after reaching out all day to tell me the movers would be there soon. With their payment policy, I ended up paying $10 a minute for movers. I can only assume they did this intentionally. Do not use this company, they will take advantage of you if they can.

NO one contacted me to do a pre move ANYTHING. 2 men showed up and slowly started packing the truck. before the truck was even packed, the young man who was moving items to the truck WALKED off the job telling me he was frustrated with the company and he was leaving. The other mover said " the clock" was stopped as we waited for the workers replacement. We then waited and nothing was done for over an hour. When the new guy showed up he and the driver began packing the truck again. My entry door well was damaged by the new mover attempting to move something by himself he admitted to the damage . A few hours later we started to my new place about an hour away. after several hours the driver told me I needed to talk to a woman on the phone to pay my total. It was astronomical and I had no choice to pay as they still had my items on the truck. I still had several trips of items in my old apartment. I had to pay another set of movers 300 to complete the services Liberty left! this move almost BANKRUPT me. I would never refer anyone to this company. I never got anything for proof I paid. I have tried several times to speak to someone about the move at Liberty. today I was spoken to very rudely in text by the owner. after his movers took responsibility of the door damage he accused me of trying to get money from them that I was hiding something . I would ask why they needed something especially something I'd already sent them, I was told to not ask why. It was confirmed by Jason the GM that the rude responses came DIRECTLY from the owner, LANDON but he was not at Liberty to tell me his last name. The way Libery movers handled this move was deplorable. i was taken advantage of by the owner and treated rudely. I have proof and I have pictures. This company from further Research has History of having pretty bad customer service. In my case they simply refused to resolve the issues their bad customer service causes. In some cases they have reimbursed customers for it. In my case I have been accused of lying and trying to "get money out" of them. I was told I was "barking up the wrong tree" I was detrimentally effected by this company financially. I have no trust that this is just an isolated incident, they treated and have treated customers like this before me, I'm sure they will continue to do so. I'm now not able to get anyone to return my calls or text. I am hurt by the way Landon has spoken to me, or his employees. the day of my move I had groceries delivered to my new apartment WHICH I would've been able to get to had the movers worked diligently from the time they arrived but that was not the case. I was asked when I let them know about my groceries why I would have groceries delivered on moving day!?!?Please find Another company. They aren't even registered with BBB, don't let them take your money, not complete the move, damage property, and talk to you rudely. Find some other company!

They did not use the proper boxes for dishes and kitchen items. My husband moved furniture for years so we know what should be used. They only used 4 boxes for the whole home. The angry mover threw all of the pictures in one box, not wrapping a single item. Everything else was just put on the truck without packing. Of 12 moves this was the worst move ever. One of the workers complained about everything as if this was a complementary move. Maybe he forgot that we are paying customers. We still can't figure out why he was angry. He kept saying he was going to quit the moving business because he was tired after 37 years. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Two of the workers were great and the owner/manager was great but to see people not care about a love ones's items who passed away was very offensive. The angry guy moved the washer and scraped the whole door and when asked about it, he said that we could just wipe it off. I have had local moves and long distance moves before because we are a military family and this was by far the worst experience ever! I would have spent $1,000 to receive great service but we picked this one because the owner/manager was nice on the phone and it seemed to be a black owned business and we tried to support it. Never again. We will be moving to NC soon and thought about using this company to move the items from storage to our new home but we will not because the next movers will have to pack the items that these movers did not pack. Desk items like pens, notebooks and magazines should always be boxes. You don't throw them on a truck. Do not use this company.
