Honest Review - Club Pilates Lake Mary & Altamonte Springs…read more I've been going to both the Lake Mary and Altamonte Springs Club Pilates locations (same owner). I truly enjoy Pilates and there are a couple of instructors who are amazing -- they know how to teach, motivate, and push you just enough. But overall, my experience has been disappointing. Many classes feel repetitive, using the same exact exercises regardless of the class level (1, 1.5, Sculpt, etc.). Some instructors rush through movements or give little explanation -- by the time you figure it out, the class has already moved on. Some days it honestly feels like I didn't get a workout at all. Then come the unfair fees: I was charged a "late check-in" fee even though the Lake Mary studio's check-in tablet has been broken and never replaced. Another time, I was charged for a class I never scheduled -- and when I disputed it with my bank, they added a $25 dispute fee. Even though I pay $200/month, they suspend your classes until every little fee is paid, even when the charge was in error. I love Pilates and the potential this franchise has, but members deserve fair treatment, consistency, and accountability. I hope management listens -- because when it's good, it's really good. Consistency, fairness, and communication matter -- especially when clients are paying premium prices.

The movements at Club Pilates are more like breathing exercises and stretching rather than an actual work out. If you're looking for a good reformer style workout, I wouldn't recommend Club Pilates as you won't see results. However, you may become more flexible. I suppose Club Pilates is good for someone who's looking for physical therapy movements rather than a workout. Also, the music can be very slow tempo and cause the workout to be very boring.

Special speakers came in several times and did workshops with the students. It was really wonderful journey. The studio has a strong track record of Yoga Teacher training. You will absolutely deepen and discover things about yourself and your practice that you have not touched on yet. I've been practicing yoga for over 15 years and learned so many new and beautiful things in this program. I felt truly blessed in the experience I had here. Namaste, Jean Scott

Because Guruv Yoga certainly deserves it…read more I started my yoga practice a couple of years ago and wasn't as dedicated as I wanted to be, life got in the way, and I missed out. The day I came back, I was welcomed with open arms. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by Dale - who is always genuinely happy to see you. It's contagious! I have taken classes with almost all of the instructors and they are nothing short of fantastic. Each one has their own style, but they all leave you feeling refreshed and revitalized. I have been able to deepen my practice with the help of the instructors here. I feel more confident and accepting of myself and others. It has truly changed my life. If you're not sure about trying this out, try one of their beginner's monthly passes. I think it's $45 or so and you get to try classes on an unlimited basis to see which classes you like best. They also have a community class on Saturdays at 4 that is $5/donation based. Do yourself a favor and try this place out. It will literally change your life for the better! Thank you, Tymi and all the hard working Yoga instructors for sharing this gift with me!

Once I signed up, I was contacted eight away and multiple times throughout the 2 weeks to confirm if I was going to attend. The call and such were a bit too much since I worked during the day. Now, once I made it to the class, I got to enjoy a nice session that eased me into pilates. I had prior yoga and pilates classes at gyms. This place is by far better. I actually feel the difference.

It's a little difficult to grab the classes because of my schedule i typically need late classes and they are usually on a waitlist , but I've grabbed what works for me and so far it's working . I love the studio and the instructors I've had , have all been patient and great . I'm looking forward to growing in my levels (currently I'm at level 1 ) , The staff is great and answer all questions. I love that you can also roll over classes if you don't use all your credits in the month (they are the only studio who allows that) , this will definitely come in handy with my schedule. If you are thinking about Pilates I definitely recommend this place. They also have free intro classes , so if you want to try it out before you commit you can & you can even by 1 class at a time if you don't want to commit to a membership right away. They have single classes (pay per class), 4 pack, 8 pack, & the unlimited. They have classes for all schedule types and the classes are not super long , but trust me they are very effective!

The best Pilates studio in town! The instructors are…read moreextremely knowledgeable in how each movement impacts the body. They keep an eye out and provide alternative movements for anyone with an injury or want to go with something less strenuous. The studio is well located in Maitland, on a main road. It is in a small strip plaza with parking out front, to the side, and in the back. Classes can be easily booked using their app and they offer a variety of memberships. The studio has about 12 participants per group class but there's also a huge room in the back for private lessons. The environment is definitely more calm and welcoming than other Pilates studios in the area. I think it's easy to be intimated by trying Pilates for the first time but the instructors take care in noting if it's your first time and will assist you in any way needed. Love how both of the bathrooms are stocked with feminine products and hair ties! There's also a kitchenette that has snacks and drinks sometimes as well. All the clothes, socks, and other products at the front are so cute...I just bought a new pair of grippy socks and I've gotten so many compliments on them. One of my favorite things about Soteria is the community that they've built. There are consistently events and the teachers put in the effort to build rapport with everyone in the class. I've actually made a few friends through the classes. I've gotten questions on what my workout routine is too and it's all been due to Soteria Pilates! I feel less stiff, tighter in the core, and mentally more balanced when I'm consistent with going to classes. Notables: I love Renee, Katie, and Gianna's classes. The owner and front desk/admin Jess, Chelsea, and Cici are all extremely nice too. I recommend Soteria to anyone trying to do Pilates!
