I was overdue for Italian food and this place was recommended my my cousin and treated them to dinner last Thursday. Wait time at 8-9 PM was 15 min - seated and the place was very much a lively atmosphere. Seemed fitting for a nice glass of wine with an acceptable selection to complement our plates. I must say all their plates looked incredible as they were served to tables surrounding us with instant thoughts of I must come back. I ordered their Gamberi Panna e Pesto Piccante and their crema was just sooo flavorful along with the camerones-- so tender! Very, happy, very content with my meal! Service was excellent, out waiter knew how to serve our wine. Wine choices were great, dimmed environment which was good, but the food... total reboiled pasta! I couldn't get the pasta to wrap around my fork because the pieces were too short from reheating and the pasta would break once I started twirling. I think this place was once good but now just lazy because of management ignorance. I wouldn't come for the food, but I would go for another bottle of wine and a salad. read more

Not as fancy looking as other nearby Italian restaurants, however, this restaurant is cozy, warm, friendly, and most importantly -- it has the very best spaghetti and clams that I have ever eaten in my life. The secret spices, ground serrano chili is one of them, added to this Italian dish, gives it a delightful Mexican twist to a classic Italian dish. The flavors of the buttery sauce, once I mixed the contents of the four clamshells into it, is out of this world. Classic Mexican Italian twist on the food with excellent service that has lasted for many years now. It has become a regular spot to eat and drink in the Chapalita neighborhood. Their waiter always super professional and fast at bringing drinks and bread that they bake there with a virgen olive oil and balsamic vinegar dip. Appetizers my fab has always been the portobello in a cheese sauce so good and vegetarian. I love their pizzas, raviolis and wine. Fornino serves the best pizza and pasta in the world. The food that we were served on a recent trip to Guadalajara was amazing. My wife and her cousins really like the specialty pizzas at Fornino and I really enjoyed the pasta al console. The service is very good and prompt. We had to wait about half an hour to get a table but it was worth the wait. The reason for the wait was because so many people like the food at Fornino. read more

All I can say what an experience at this restaurant it was amazing . The pizza is so crispy and delicious amazing pizza could not stop eating it . The best part of this who experience was the spaghetti Reggiano with the white disuse abs all the cheese they add to it then a pomodoro sauce with tomatoes . Unfortunately this was my worst experience while visiting Guadalajara. The restaurant has a great reputation in regards to their menu, but we did not get the chance to try it! We were on their waiting list for 70 minutes! The hostess was never able to give us an estimated wait time. Her only response was we have four tables ahead of you... the entire time! We were able to hear people getting tables because they had reservations, but also because they seemed to be regulars and knew the staff. Very disappointing! read more

First thing for me to tell you is that if you are coming with a large party, make reservations in advance. This place became popular very quick and for good reasons. This italian place is a great place to come eat in Guadalajara, not only because it has delicious food but because its very affordable compared to most italian/pasta restaurants. The ambiance is very calming, the whole restaurant is kind of dark (speaking of lighting) inside and everything has some sort of rustic look to it. Now, lets get to the good part, the food. I absolutely love their portobello mushroom appetizer, its freaking delicious! . If you aren't a fungi type of guy then you must be a fungboring (see what i did there?) ...Ok, but seriously, if you aren't into mushrooms I can almost promise you with my life you'll adore this one. For entrees, my favorite one ever is the ravioli bandiera, its raviolis filled with meat and 3 different types of sauce, cheese,pesto and red sauce. Very damn good, specially if you're craving different salsa flavors. The spaghetti vongole is more of a sea food kind of dish but even for me who dislikes sea food it was very good. Would come here a thousand times. Im just gonna repeat, make sure you make reservations if you're coming with a large party or you will be waiting forever. read more

Great italian place in Guadalajara. The pastas, pizza and salads are really delicious, Im continuously craving a chipotle-cheese pasta with shrips that had there, so good! The location is good in Chapalita and the only problem is that is very popular, especially during weekends and nights so get there early, make a reservation or be ready to wait. read more

Great atmosphere and amazing food. I was with a party of 10, and the staff was pleasantly attentive. We ordered several dishes and each one was full of flavor and not bland like other Italian restaurants. We also had pizzas, which did not disappoint.
