He happens to have a gallery in Aspen and my husband is a photographer, so we had to check it out. The gallery managers were SUPER friendly and walked us through the exhibit. They talked about the printing/photographing techniques used in each specific photo, which was really interesting. The photographs were gigantic and gorgeous - they almost had a surreal quality to them. We could never afford one in a million years, but it's nice to look.

Some of the art appealed to me and other works not so much. It is a fun browse and the gallery lets you walk around unfettered. The pricing is consistent with the pricing of the homes so this is not a place to obtain your trinket from your Aspen visit. However, if you are looking for upscale real art, this is one venue.

As a local who also works at a well respected establishment in town, I was extremely disappointed to experience such shocking treatment for merely using the public sidewalk to answer a simple phone call in an extremely quiet and personal manner nearby the store. I've never been spoken to in a such a way. We need to do better to support one another--I will never endorse a business with such blatant and clearly, somehow acceptable, treatment towards kind and well-meaning folks on their end. Not okay under any circumstances, and certainly no way to handle an honest misunderstanding which could have been easily resolved with a simple and polite request.

I picked two up but they were out of size L on one of the shirts so I got the XL and boy do they run WIDE. Too big for my gentleman friend so I will just have to wear it to bed or wait until I have a wider gentleman friend... just kidding. T-shirts for everyone here, kids too! Most of the prices were outrageous as well. I can't understand how this business stays afloat, I know the rent in aspen is up there and this guy can't be selling much at these prices. I also saw no certifications of originality on movie posters that he's asking well over 1000.00$ for. I recommend staying out of this place.

The Aspen Art Gallery represents some interesting artists and has a variety of original works. I…read morewas impressed with some of the use of acrylics and glazing that really made some of the colors pop in certain works. The staff was helpful and willing to show the art under different lighting. They do not allow for photos of the art which is a little old school and makes it difficult to show to a spouse or significant other who may be involved in the purchase decision but that is certainly their prerogative. The ceramic French bulldogs are a very cool option if you are not looking for canvas.
