Once Nate knows your abilities and how much you can truly push yourself, he will push you just a bit more to the next level. I've been doing the boot camp for just about 15 weeks now. When I first started I COULD NOT do a pull up or leg up or push-up. I was completely out of shape and unable to pull my own weight. In fact I threw up after the first session. I came in with pain and physical problems, but I stayed consistent and gave no excuses. Best decision of my life was to work with Nate. But don't take my word for it. After injuring myself a couple times in a row (dislocated shoulder, broken foot) I was really looking to get back in shape and didn't know where to start. I started investigating and talking to personal trainers around the city until I stumbled on Nate. I met Nate at "the hill" near Soldier Field training some people and was impressed with the work out routine. The timing could not be any better as i have been actively looking for the right trainer. After a week or so, I met with Nate and have not begun training 4 days a week. The gym trains at is located at the private trainer's only gym at Kendall College, which is a hidden gem. Free parking as well. Nate is VERY thorough, which I love. Most importantly, we always finish the work out with a 5-10 minute stretch. If need be, he'll always stay over the hour session to make sure that stretching piece is done. I have had 3 trainers in the past and believe Nate is the best one thus far. read more

I came to Nate with radial nerve pain stemming from a herniated disc in my back. It was having a very negative impact on my ability to function properly in every day life. My mood was down. My energy was low. I had added a good 30+ pounds, and spent long hours laying around trying to get the pain to subside. I had seen orthopedists, chiropractors, and tried a standard PT approach for two months, and seen almost no lasting results. Nate's patience, persistence, empathy, creativity and positive attitude were exactly what was needed. It took a good three months of work, but the nerve pain has largely subsided. I am demonstrably stronger. My core strength has given me new confidence to do things with my back that I wasn't sure I'd be able to again. I feel healthier than I have felt in about a decade. If you are in good shape, Nate can get you to s new level. If you are in rough shape, Nate can get you right. I've never enjoyed exercise and working out. It's always been a struggle. I've been training here for over a year now with the head trainer Nate Forse. I started off just doing boot camp workouts last summer. I had a few bad experiences with boot camp workouts in the past so I was hesitant at first. But once I started training with Nate it was a completely different experience. He definitely pushes you during the workout but he's great at tailoring the workout to what your body can handle. So you feel challenged but without feeling like your killing yourself in the process. They have multiple boot camp and personal training locations which is great because I like to mix up my workouts. From boot camps at North Avenue Beach, to kettle bell studio's in River North they have something for everyone. I couldn't recommend this place any more highly. I love working out here it keeps me motivated and inspired to reach my fitness goals. read more

Many, many, years ago I was an "athlete." I ran into a few setbacks (injuries) w/ my knee and back that took me out of the athlete soccer scene. I watched my body turn into something foreign and thought it would just be my reality. After being inspired by the World Cup, I wanted to experience that drive again in the gym but knew I couldn't do it on my own. I started working w/ Nate Forse 3 times a week and have honestly been blown away by the experience and results. He's very in tune w/ your body and works you out accordingly. Nate did a hard sell on a program that does not even have a thesis. I was worried about being too busy with work to commit and he continued to push so I gave it a try because I wanted to lose a few pounds. Given my work schedule (as well as being a D1 athlete in college), I quickly realized this is not what it seems - it is not a program for busy people that are already in shape - the messages switched back and forth without a real focus. I had a hard time getting materials (and only got 1-2 workouts) - I never could get the trainerize app to work and Nate didn't try to help. Nate gave up on me which is the worst thing a coach can do. I used to think lifestyle coaching was a good thing but now it just seems like a scam. read more

I have known Nate for years, and am excited he finally opted to do what he is amazing at. Recently, my wife and I finally were blessed with being pregnant. We decided to get with Nate and work out during the pregnancy. We understood that working out and strengthening the core helps not only with delivery, but also in returning to your pre-pregnancy body. Now I put on a few "sympathy pounds" and while neither one of us was "Large" or Overweight, we were definitely out of shape. Nate worked around our schedule and customized the workouts to fit our individual needs as well our combined goals. We worked out in a public park as well as at the gym. It was great to work outdoors and enjoy summer in Chicago. He pushed us without being mean, or overly demanding types you see sometimes in a regular gym. He walks the walk and continues to work out himself. I remember our first workout, about 10 minutes in, my wife and I were both winded and exhausted. I take Nate's Fit Camp class at 7pm. I started going in March of this year. I've always been in a sport when I was in school (basketball, cross-country, and track) and really enjoyed it. But once I went to college it was hard to motivate myself into keeping in shape so I eventually stopped. I never was one who enjoyed going to the gym such as XSport or Lifetime. It was boring and I was left unmotivated. I even tried yoga like a lot of my friends and really couldn't get into it. After finding Nate's Fit Camp class I remembered how much I enjoy staying active. His class reminds me of how it was to train when you were in a sport, and that is something I couldn't find anywhere else. It was refreshing and I genuinely enjoy going-which is not something I would imagine myself saying before this class! When I started I was really out of shape. It had been years since I worked out properly and consistently and was really discouraged from my experiences in other gyms/classes. But everyday in his class is different and a challenge. Nate takes the time to show you the correct form (which I really appreciate since I'm a big cheat on that). And even though it's a class, you don't feel neglected at all. Overall, Nate is a really awesome trainer. He is extremely encouraging and challenges you to push yourself. I have seen a significant difference in my strength and definition and I look forward to going every time to see what else I can accomplish. Nate is an amazing trainer. He gets to know his clients and creates innovated and personalized trainings to ensure that you get the most out of your session. Most importantly he understand the need to modify exercises to prevent injuries. I recently did a group session with my best friend and I was nervous I would be unable to keep up with her. I have seen some of nate's workouts from Instagram and finally decided to see what all the hype was about. I will say that his techniques are not very traditional and gave me a different way to look at training altogether. The intensity of the work out was great. To the point that I had to take extra breaks in between sets. As we ended the workout I slid down the wall and sat for 3 min before I finally was able to move to leave the workout. Nate's motivation during the work out was impeccable. He continued to encourage me throughout the entire workout. Those small bit of encouragement throughout the workout made me want to work even harder to keep up. As a person who trains In the gym 6 days a week. He first does a baseline test to see where you are at and then customizes the workout to achieve the goals you and he discuss when you get started.
