The EMS workout you get at Body Time Chicago is amazing. It works out all muscle groups with a variety of exercises. There's two types of workout, strength and metabolism. I prefer a mix of both but it depends on what your goals are and the trainer can help you decide. You really feel the workout the next day as if you worked out for an hour but its only 20 minutes! Being only a 20 minute session works well with my busy schedule especially since I work late a lot. They have availability in the mornings, evenings as well as weekends. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and they help make sure you have the right form in all the different exercises they show you (which is an added plus, you'll learn new exercises you can do on your own at the gym). The facility itself is great too, clean and spacious, and you have your own changing stall to store your personal items. Over all I'd recommend Body Time to those who are new to working out, as well as those who are experienced but want a more time efficient work out. read more

The individual who reached out to me after I inquired was very very rude. I have never had someone yell at me or act the way he did when trying to get me to sign up so something. They do not communicate all of the details and when you start asking questions and telling them they need to be upfront the inappropriate behavior comes out. Body Time Chicago made for one of the most memorable, intense and refreshing workouts I've ever experienced. I was pretty skeptical at first about this place, but it has completely taken me aback. I walked in and a super friendly trainer walked me through the EMS process, calculated some percentages based off my weight and answered questions (and doubts) I had about this whole thing. Once I got into the suit, they strapped on the vest and electrodes and hooked me up to the machine that controlled the EMS impulses. If I'm being honest, I was pretty intimated at this part but Alex, my trainer, walked through everything very slowly and made sure I felt comfortable. There was never a point where I felt pushed or uncomfortable with the impulses! We then started the workout which consisted of very simple exercises (curls, lunges, squats) while the EMS impulses were going through my body through the vest. This was a very strange feeling but I worked up a sweat pretty quick. By the end of the 20 minutes, I felt WORKED but my body wasn't in any pain from lifting heavy weights. I also loved how easy this process was on my joints - the simplicity of the exercises, combined with the impulses, made the whole workout feel deep and refreshing all at once. I would definitely try this gym out if you're skeptical, don't know anything about EMS, or just want to experience as memorable of a workout as I did! read more

Adrian and his team do a great job of training you to reach your goals. The workouts are hard and you always feel the burn. As someone who has arthrogryposis these workouts definitely have helped me reach my goals better than just working out on my own. This is a great addition to my regular routine and has helped me push through my workouts. I've never felt stronger from such a short workout. This is a really great alternative for a good workout if you don't have a lot of time to dedicate to a gym. You don't need to bring anything with you which is a huge plus as everything is provided for your session in house. Covid precautions are in place and everything is sanitized after use! I was a little nervous at first to try out EMS training, but David was amazing at explaining everything and making sure the electrical pulses were within my comfort zone. Just awesome! I definitely see my body changing, especially stomach area, just have to keep my diet in check. After leaving it feels like I just had a 2-3 hour workout in just 20 minutes. In March I started my weekly sessions at body time with Adrian. Over the last few years I've had a few health issues that made me gain 50lbs. After trying many ways to lose the weight and get back to my normal self, I stumbled upon body time and gave it a shot. Im so happy I did! Every week I'm excited to go to my sessions. I found out about Body Time from an online ad and went in just because they were giving out a free session. I had my doubts about EMS but boy it was fun. Long story short, I have been a member of BodyTime for a year now. They have a great, clean facility. All the trainers are very friendly, they keep me motivated and best at what they do. The workouts are personalized and the staff ensures you get the best workout in just 20 mins. It seems like a short duration but workouts do use a lot of energy and strength, leaving you sore - which to me is the measurement for an effective workout. I recently have started the metabolism session as well which is insanely effective. I can totally see the difference in my body composition and feel more fit. It can be a little intimidating at first but I do think this is a perfect fit for someone who is busy like me and doesn't have all the hours of spending at the gym.
