I get personalized sushi here a lot. This stuff is amazing and satisfies my caviar addiction at a good price. This is one of my favorite highlights of Fort Campbell. My sushi of choice: Fresh Salmon, Avocado, and Cream Cheese sushi loaded with lots of caviar or Tobiko in a maki roll. Tobiko is rich in protein, omega-3 fatty acids and other nutrients. Similar to salmon eggs, tobiko is high in fat that can help protect the heart and liver, reduce inflammation, and improve learning ability. I was, also, told it is good for enhancing vision by sushi chefs in Florida. It is sweeter than caviar and has cute tiny Pearl like shape. The commissary is the very best place to shop for produce. They get a fresh new stock in everyday. The deli has the biggest variety of meats and cheese that I've been able to find anywhere, if you don't mind taking a number and waiting. I kind of do mind, because I don't like shopping. Walking into the commissary is a bit of an anxiety attack for me. As soon as you enter you can see the wait line for the checkouts. If you've been in the military, you already know that the line is usually halfway down a shopping aisle and three rows of turn stiles before you get to the register. As for the prices, you really can't beat them and it is worth making the trip. They also carry foods from all over, which is very appreciated by military families. Don't forget to tip your baggers. That's all they work for, and will probably load your groceries in your vehicle better than we could anyway. Be kind. read more

The fist of the month is when most shops there and the smell when you first walk in was no vegetable no chicken no eggs and dark meat at reg prices not my first time this has happened. Constant poor attitudes from Produce employees and Slow deli counter. The food in the produce section is constistently molded, rotten, soft, and needs to be tossed. Good luck if you as an employee, expecially a produce manager, for help. You will get a sarcastic remark and a turned back. This is probably the worst commissary I've ever been to. The produce is garbage. It's not that fresh like others have stated. I don't buy their produce because it goes bad quick. Great options and the prices are among the best in town. The lines can be a bit long, but truthfully the alternatives to the Commissary are just a bit more than I feel comfortable paying or they're too far to make the drive worth it. Sometimes the machines are iffy but the employees are great at working around those issues. The only downside to the Commissary is that when you go out of town for a bit and you're shopping around, the prices are a lot higher! For instance, I've been disappointed when I've gone to Walmart back home and I see $6.99 for the Nivea Body Lotion and the Commissary sells it for $3.99. Check out the Deli section when you get the chance. Those panini are so damn good. I get one ever so often because they're the best I've had in the area. read more

There is a lot to say about a military grocery store. One of the obvious things is that it is ALWAYS busy. No matter what time of the day it is, the fort Campbell commissary is packed especially when it's pay day. Thankfully the parking lot isn't a nightmare. But they always seem to run out of baskets or small carts. The selection of food is okay. Like a Walmart or Kroger they have a decent selection of meats, dairy, fruits & vegetables. I really like the deli area of the commissary there is always unique or interesting put out that catches my eye. This is just a personal opinion because I love love love ice cream I just wish the Commissary provided more options for frozen desserts like Publix. It's always the same flavors and nothing different. I find myself going to Publix if I want some that the Commissary never has and it's not a quick drive either. But that isn't the reason I only give it 3 stars... the absolutely nightmare is the check out. First off. Theres always a super long line because the registers are either down or there is only one person helping customers since the systems literally suck!!!!! And sometimes when they are helping a customer open registers are available but you HAVE to wait to be seen by a worker to show your CAC ID before even moving forward.... very very annoying. And no one even wants to go to the regular cash register line because some (not all) of baggers are kind of rude.... they insist on pushing your cart to the car without asking and expecting tips. I literally feel like a fish being stared down by a shark whenever I see them because well, that's how they make there money, off tips from customers. Which is why I usually go through the express self checkout but like I said before the line is ridiculously long. SO at the end of the day, I usually find myself shopping at freaking Walmart, which is a whole other nightmare. read more

I LOVE THE COMMISSARY AT FC!! I'm an army brat, army wife... have been to commissaries all my life. This commissary is like home to me. We now live off post , but make the trek at least once a week. No fresh seafood. Korean-lady baggers give you hard looks if you don't have cash. Youth baggers generally do a poor job bagging. Commissary/DECA adds your savings back onto the bottom of your receipt. Publix and Kroger have much better fruit. Crowded. Some things are very cheap. read more

This commissary kicks ass. It's very tidy and orderly. My colonel was a little annoyed that the deli meats, mainly the salami, were not all together which made him search for his favorite kind. Thank you for that-I enjoyed watching him be frustrated over salami. The selection here was fantastic!! The prices beat the local economy without a doubt and it was not crowded. read more

I am a retired Army 1SGT since 1990. My wife and I are Military Commissary nuts. My last 14 years of service I was stationed within civilian cities on recruiting duty. At one station we drove as far as 140 miles at least once each month to shop. The commissaries always have great selections. Although Ft Campbell creates challenges for us at times we still shop there one or two times per month. The biggest problem we encounter has been consistency for at least two years. I don't understand why it is so hard for management to keep hand sanitizers at the entrances. The baskets are used by many, many shoppers and all people are not clean. Eight out of ten times we visit the commissary I have had to go to the customer service desk to get hand sanitizers. I have spoken with at least three managers about this issue over the past two years. One manager called another manager for assistance. Listening to one side of the conversation, I heard the manager state that she didn't know whose job it was to keep the sanitizers stocked. Personally I thought that was awful. All managers should be briefed periodically on the operations of the store. I suggest the store manager assign this responsibility to the section that has the responsibility to clean the store. The manager that opens the store should check to ensure that the wipes were put in place at closing. The wipes should be checked each hour, just like the restrooms. This is a simple fix. Management just has to make it happen. One more; Too many times while shopping in the produce section. I have witnessed several employees, with produce to stock, standing for long periods discussing problems such as pay problems, position problems and just gossiping. I really don't think it is appropriate especially since they should be working. Plus as a shopper, I don't want to hear their problems. In too many cases I have also noticed produce marked incorrectly. For example, Tangerines are marked as Oranges. MANAGERS MUST BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE. I LOVE THE COMMISSARY. Hello, I went to the commissary last week and I had coupons of my own, the guy at the register didn't know how to enter one of my coupons so he called over they lead cashier, once she got there she entered the coupon, then she looked at another one of my coupons and told me it was counterfeit I said no I got it straight from the manufacturer but she didn't care didn't even try to scan it. I went to Walmart right afterwards and they scanned it and it went through just fine! Also the cashier and bagged got frustrated bc they had to wait on her so they didn't even try to help me get my grocery out! read more

I have enjoyed shopping at this commissary until I looked at my receipt today and saw that I was charge a $17 SURCHARGE for shopping there. I looked at my Walmart receipt and I was charge about the same amount for taxes. I will not continue shopping at the commissary and get charged a SURCHARGE (aka tax) on groceries. I will take my business to Walmart where I will not get a surcharge on my grocery items. read more

I cannot stress enough how POOR the management at this store is. They clearly hate their jobs and don't value their customers or employees. They are incredibly rude and though I love the commissary I can not support this location at all until I know the management has changed. A very dedicated staff, a group of young people that work very hard to get the products out to the community. The facility is a new one with a diversity of departments, the meat section is been arrange the you can found everything you need in a time matter. This Military facility is by far one of the best I ever see in my 35 years involved with the Military life. fyi!!!! my family and i went to commissary yesterday (7/9/15) we did self checkout and the lady with a red hair who works there is being rude and mean to us... the machine is giving us an invalid sku!! # when i scan the item and she's telling us not to move the item fast..which is i did listen to her and the 2nd time it happens again invalid!! invalid!! she giving us this hand telling us that she;s done or she won't help us anymore!!!! shamed of you!!!! you work at the customer service you should be helpful and be friendly.. not giving us that bad attitude!!!! she needs to fix that attitude for rudeness!!!!or maybe she doesn't like her job! because she acts like that!!! instead of helping us and get us outta there fast she making that mean attitude!!!! that was the first time we encountered an employee like that at the commissary...a big boo!!! to you lady!!!(lady with red hair)... read more
