Stayed here for one night. Overall it was a nice stay. The thermostat in the room didn't work super well and it got a bit hot and stuffy. Other than that it was a nice and pretty clean room. The room was spacious and clean and had everything stocked that we needed like blankets and extra pillow pillows. They did not have a microwave in the room. Second stay in two weeks and I've had a completely different experience and not in a positive way at all! Marriott leadership can thank Serafina at the front desk for this one star review. In the two nights I've been here I've encountered two spiders in the room. The first was small and I dismissed it. The second one was pretty significant and not something I felt comfortable handling. I called the front desk - it was after midnight - and Serafina said there was no one here he could handle it. She said that maintenance and everyone other than her had gone home for the night. She offered to move my room which I really didn't want to do and then she said she had some bug spray. I asked if she'd bring it to me and she said yes. So I spent 15 horrendous minutes waiting for her just to realize she lied and wasn't coming. The spider made his way behind the desk so I packed up my stuff and headed to the front desk to take her up on her offer of a different room. She saw me coming and said she could give me the bug spray but I'd have to bring it back? What? You see I have all my luggage in tow so clearly I'm not here to pick up bug spray. I asked if she'd bring was the person who said they'd bring the spray and she said she was but she just got so busy. At 12:30 in the middle of the night? Interesting. No, you lied. You had no intention of coming. She then proceeded to tell me it wasn't her job to kill bugs. Did I ask you to kill the bug? I finally said enough - I don't want to hear the excuses. You lied and that's not acceptable. Please just give me a different room. She then went to assign me the room next door! Stop. Full stop. So I'm now on the second floor (was on the first) and will finish this stay - assuming there aren't more bugs - but not sure that I'll be back to the Ft. Collins Marriott. I just moved a kiddo to CSU so have reason to come up now and again and thought I'd found where I'd be staying during those visits but apparently not. I don't do bugs (although it happens and the spiders alone wouldn't have made this a two star review) and I definitely don't do dishonest and disrespectful customer service. Update to add that the second floor room had no body wash in the shower - HoHum- and someone's old sandwich in the fridge. Gracious. Also need to just say that every other employee I've encountered has been professional and helpful. read more

I've stayed at this Marriott twice and overall I've been pleased. I don't understand the low 3.3 average rating. Hotel staff has been very pleasant each time I checked in. There were times during my stay that I needed something and each time, staff was very pleasant to work with. I much prefer this level of hotels because the level of customer service is great! When checking in there were a few people ahead of me. We waited for a while. I was impressed that an Assistant Manager stepped forward and asked us if we would like water then assured us we would be checked in soon. Check-in was pleasant with the staff member I had. He was personable yet professional. I like that they have a nice restaurant and bar near the front lobby. I haven't had a meal here but will dine here next time in FoCo. I did have a dessert (Chocolate Torte with Vanilla Ice Cream) last night and it was to die for! Front desk staff told me that the restaurant has really good desserts and they weren't kidding. The front lobby is very warm and inviting. There are nice cozy couches for lounging in and a warm fireplace nearby. The only drawback is that you have to walk a good distance to the elevators and they tend to run a little slower than the norm. I stayed in a King Suite both times (Dec 2023 and this weekend) and I was pleased. Bed was comfy, plenty of pillows and I had a nice view of the mountains. I spent plenty of time on the couch reading and enjoying the view. There is a small coffeemaker in the room. Coffee isn't bad. There is a small fridge but no microwave. That's the only drawback for me. I tend to like a microwave in the room. Loved the rain shower head in the bathroom. Also, weird that the "do not disturb" sign was hanging on a hook next to the shower. Strange place to have this. I was satisfied with the room and my stay overall. I feel this is an older hotel but still in good condition. Also, guests were family or family oriented and d friendly. I had some nice conversations with other guests. I would stay here again. Oh, there are no cameras in the parking lot and no security onsite. Park at your own risk. Also, they do not charge for parking. The hotel is off a main road. It seemed to be in a safe part of town and I've heard that Fort Collins Police are good. read more

The nicest and friendliest Marriott I've been to out of all my hotel stays. Great location, adjacent to the mall and loads of restaurants. Shout out to Smokin Fins which is around the corner! I was warmly welcomed when I checked-in. It was after a long day of driving with toddler and visiting friends and I very much just needed some plastic silverware....random I know. However, one of the ladies who works in the kitchen was so kind.....she could see I needed assistance. She said, "don't move a muscle....I got you." It was the kindness and sweetness I needed after a long day. We went to our room which was spacious, beautiful, and super clean. I'm a sucker for walk-in showers and this one was perfect. We had lots of space which was good for my toddler who spent most of the day traveling in the car. The next day's breakfast was a nice buffet. My toddler decided to throw hers on the floor and Terrie (one of the staff members) was more than happy to help clean it up. And Alex, I believe, was our server, who was very nice and patient. I am so thankful for the kind staff. This will definitely be my go-to whenever I'm in town again. The only part I could say needs improvement is the parking lot but I'm pretty sure it's somewhere on their to-do list. And only $113 for this room.....what a steal! read more

A nice Marriott property in the suburbs of Denver. The stay was marked with disappointment that they still haven't opened their concierge lounge as of late August. This is becoming a "tired" response form so many Marriott properties. However, if you are a Platinum Elite, you do get the daily breakfast buffet in the restaurant which is nice. The property itself is in good shape, the rooms are remodeled, and the staff was accommodating. Most rooms at a Marriott are larger than most newer hotels, and Id say the same for this one. The amenities of the hotel were nice, however, it's time to reopen your concierge lounge for those that have been loyal to you over the years. read more

The woman at the front desk today sounded exasperated by my very simple questions. Super unhelpful. We won't be returning

We got a room that was probably just recently renovated. The room was nice, but it looked a little "empty", there was just a lot of bare floor and walls and we thought they could've made the room a little more cozy with some more furniture or a different setup and some more art on the walls. They also left the smoke detector covered with a plastic bag, I guess because of the work that was done in the room. This could be a major safety issue and good thing we noticed! Breakfast is really good, but expensive if you don't have a coupon. The guy at breakfast seemed a little weird at first but eventually was very nice to us. The business center needs a complete makeover. It's not convenient to work there at all: the counters are narrow and too high, the chairs don't go high enough and are not very comfortable and there are not enough outlets and no privacy. This business center is outdated and should be replaced. The staff was very nice and as Platinum members we got a gift but I'd just say that I've been in other Marriotts where they give Platinum members free snacks from the hotel 'market'. Yes, completely free! The indoor hot tub is nice, but also could use some updating, and also would be nice if the switch for the jets would be located closer to the actual hot tub. This hotel is not located right in the middle of downtown, but it's a short drive to downtown and many other areas. read more

We paid 250 for 1 night. When we made the reservation 1st. jack and the other front desk girl reassured us the pool closed at 12. Turns out it closed at 10. We made plans around this time. 2nd. The gentleman across from us complained we were being loud and yea we were having a little fun. We were down stairs and the front desk told us nothing. We get back to our room and the front desk comes up for the first time and says if they get one more complaint we have to evict you. He was very rude and automatically assumed the worst. I m not happy and would never recommend this hotel. Definitely not worth the bad customer service and stress. read more

I was on fence 3 or 4 stars. We got to stay in one of the newer remodeling rooms. Was nice with the "hardwood" floors instead of carpet. The bathroom was a bit small. The water in the bathroom sink did nothing flow very well, spit and sputtered a bit. My biggest problem was the sun room . We were here for a convention and the first night there was No AC at all, it was over 95. No attempt to try and move us. Or bring in several fans. The next morning it was absolutely freezing in there but by noon it was boiling again. read more

The Fort Collins Marriott has been like a second home whenever we leave Nebraska. The staff are very willing to make my stay great! I especially appreciate Zak in housekeeping who is eager to get my room just right. I always request no feathers and he gets all the comforters and pillows changed and makes sure everything is up to his high standards. Compliments to the front desk staff Michael , sweet miss Teagan , Zak and Gunner have made sure that I get the perfect room. Mine was recently upgraded with a spacious wood grain floor plan , so clean and the dogs love it here. Michael even anticipated I would need a late check out because my dog is being treated at the CSU vet school. Now that is going above and beyond. So, you know how all guys kind of have that fantasy where we find the hottest woman in the area and take her back to our hotel for the night? Well, I get to live that every time I travel with Wonder Wife, which is one of the reasons why I love traveling. She is always the hottest woman in any area and she's generally willing to go back to my hotel with me. We love doing getaways, even when we're just staying someplace nearby. This trip, unfortunately, had to do with some family medical stuff, but we figured we'd make the best of it. So we stayed at the Marriott (I'm an Elite Member) while we visited a local hospital. This particular property had suffered a bout of guest-stupidity as some sprinklers had been set off on an upper floor, so there were some "Pardon our Dust" signs up. However, I hope they got some great insurance money out of it, because the place is a little dingy and could use a bit of an update. The staff was really great, but the property really isn't. The staff is the only reason this place gets two stars instead of one. Here's my list of gripes: 1. AIR CONDITIONING Air conditioning is very important in a hotel. The room needs to get cold enough to sleep well - I can always tell the room is the perfect temperature because Wonder Wife is walking around telling me the room is too cold. However, equally important is spousal nudity encouragement. The AC must be nimble enough to adjust the room's temperature so it's easy to get all of those annoying clothes off of Wonder Wife and to keep the room at a temperature where she is willing to walk around wearing as little as possible. Believe me, there is nothing on any channel on any TV in any hotel that is better to watch. Unfortunately, no matter how hard I pushed those little buttons on the thermostat, the AC just won't cool the room to the temperature it said on the display. It basically had one setting: "Sleep Sweat" which came with a bonus feature where it somehow heated both sides of the pillow. 2. INTERNET ACCESS Internet access is unbelievably, painfully, incredibly, horribly slow to the point where it is basically unusable. I'm here working during the day remotely and I have to use my phone as a hot-spot to get decent performance. Download speeds are SLOWER THAN DIAL-UP. Oh, and this is for the "Enhanced High Speed" option that I paid $6.95 per night extra for (kudos to the front desk for taking this off my bill). Guys, I'm sorry, but this is unacceptable. It is now 2019 and there is no excuse for a multi-billion dollar hotel brand to have properties where internet access is so atrocious. I'm an IT guy - for me, internet access is the absolute one thing I must have. I cannot believe they market this place as a business event destination. If you are traveling for business, or use the internet for anything more than your FaceBook addiction, go somewhere else. (FaceBook is still a thing, right?) 3. LAUNDRY FACILITIES Okay, so this isn't something most people care too much about at a hotel. For us, this was an issue. We had to leave our house with very little notice to get to Fort Collins and brought dirty laundry with us. The plan was to just use the on-property facilities. Wonder Wife even called ahead ("Yes, ma'am. We have two washers and two dryers. We can even give you quarters.") Well, one of the washers was out of order. Drying takes longer anyway, so not that big of a deal. Except we didn't plan on having to play "Precision Quarter Drop 2000" on every machine. It's a brilliant game where you put your quarter in the slot, trying for an exact 12.6 degree angle so the machine will take your quarter; otherwise, it drops into the coin return. Imagine the HOURS of fun you get trying over and over and over on every. single. machine. they. have. Generally speaking, Wonder Wife and I can take a bad circumstance and turn it into a decent or better experience because we love to stay in hotels. Unfortunately, this one took our bad circumstance and just highlighted it. read more

I'm traveling on business from MO to CO. After checking into my hotel, I went to the hot tub. I wasn't gone long and when I returned to my room my keys didn't work. I went to the desk where I was ignored half naked, dripping wet and told with little discretion that "my" card was declined and their system automatically deactivates room keys if a card is declined. It wasn't my card, it was my employers. The concierge was determined to not let me back to my room. I offered personal cards which were not run or declined. Then I'm told it's already worked out with the employer's card. I was paraded looking like a drowned rat through their lobby and denied my belongings over nothing! If this is their system's automatic response, it's not legal. You cannot force a guest not dressed appropriately for being in public from their room without cause. You presume the rights of a tenant upon check in and you may not lock them out, let alone in the state I was in being in nothing but a bathing suit and towel. I might be the most body conscious person alive and it took a lot to leave my room in that suit. I thought I could quietly slink away to my room if it got to be too much. I tried to, only to have this happen. I'm humiliated, angry and didn't get so much as an apology. You know that nightmare where you're in public naked- he kinda did that to me and to put salt in the wound, he basically calls me a derelict to half the lobby. read more

Just an average Marriott facility. Rooms are quite dated. Loud noises at night. I asked via chat to find out if the hotel has an executive lounge and the answer was it is being renovated. I could not find one anywhere in the property. Front desk staff - for the overnight shift was not very friendly, nor attentive. Asked for a small, used box and she stated that the hotel does not have any... not even bother to look. Had to contact another staff member in the AM shift... 3.5 stars Excellent A/C and a very comfy bed. After several days in Estes we were happy to find good A/C. Yea! Front desk staff were very pleasant and efficient. Nice coffee bar turns into nice regular bar later in the day. Very pleasant area to hang out. Really don't think it's worth paying extra for concierge. I did enjoy having the PC and printer and the hostess was super nice. But the evening snacks were just so-so. And there are too many cool dining options in Fort Collins to "waste" a meal here. One word - disappointing. Make that two words - very disappointing. I just checked in with my family for a five night stay. After several weeks on the road we were delighted to be able to be in one place for a longer period of time. But no - this is the worst place we could have landed for an extended stay during our trip. While this might be a fine hotel for a mid-week work trip, solo or couples travel, or attending a weekend wedding or event, it's pretty horrible for families. Here is a list of the challenges... 1. When we checked in we weren't offered help with our bags so I asked to use a luggage trolly and filled it up and pushed it to our room by myself. Three of us on the road for 3.5 weeks in 3 states = a lot of bags. The elevators are a bit of a hike down the hall from registration and the floor hallways are long. 2. Upon arrival at the room we found NO DRESSER. After opening every compartment we could find, we counted a total of 5 half-sized drawers in the room. That number includes the two in the bedside table! What??? I travel a good amount for work and have never stayed in a room without a dresser. 3. The architectural shape of the building makes for a reduced room size. With no drawer space that means there is even less floor space for opening bags against the walls. I hate putting my things in the floor! After asking for an additional luggage stand, we still have nearly every surface covered and that's for only 3 suitcases. Everything else is piled on the closet floor. It's going to be a major headache to live out of our suitcases with a child for 5 nights! Small rooms! 4. The beds don't appear to be queen sized. Instead they are full sized. Very strange! Full sized beds went out of fashion in the 1990s. 5 days with two adults or an adult and a squirming child sleeping in a full size bed is not good. When you come to a hotel you want to be propelled into luxury, not thrown back to the days of staying at grandma's house in the 1970s. If your here for a night for work - this might be great. But if your traveling with children, forget it! Even the indoor/outdoor pool doesn't make up for having no space for your clothing or sleeping in full sized beds. Very disappointment. read more

The hotel charged my credit card over 2 weeks later with an arbitrary charge of hundreds of dollars. I was paid up on checkout and have folios to prove it. The manager has not called me back for an explanation or to see about the charge despite leaving several messages with the front desk and a voicemail to the manager. I called several times for days and the staff said they left notes as they do not have the ability to look at the charges. I had to go through bonvoy assist who said they would investigate. The management at this hotel clearly doesn't care if someone charges a card on file incorrectly or fraudulently. I would not trust leaving a card on file with current staff and process in place. read more

What a lovely Marriott! The room is large with plenty of outlets conveniently placed. Bed super comfy. Stag has been friendly and helpful. Had dinner here last night. Wait staff was attentive and the food delicious. I had the mushroom flatbread and a Caesar salad. Cocktails were fabulous. As an appetizer we ordered the cheese curds with blackberry-Serrano jam. Wow! We mentioned to the manager how much we enjoyed our dining experience, especially the jam. He brought me a small jar to take home! Will be back for sure read more

Or send one up on request. Nope none . Wake up hair a mess, Dirty breath and in my pjs walk down through the lobby pass the desk. And heat up my coffee. My own coffee organic and real cream organic. If you want to be eco-friendly. Hmm strive organic and stop spraying smell in the lobby that can kill you. And makes the food at the restaurant taste like perfume. OK the beds are super comfortable and the staff is Amazing !!! But do eco-friendly all the way then. That smell stopped us and many others from eating downstairs. I recently stayed at the Fort Collins Marriott to tour my youngest child around their new college campus. I've been starting to get that empty nester feeling and it's honestly brought my mood down the last couple days. Thankfully when I checked in and out of the Fort Collins Marriott I had the pleasure of having receptionist Kaiya to help me out. She gave me great reassurance that Fort Collins is the place for my daughter and I'm excited to come back and visit. We just checked in this evening - after a harrowing flight and, exhausted, an hour long drive from DEN airport in the dark, we arrived at the front desk and were greeted by a completely unmasked young man, Eric, behind the counter. His mask was not just dangling around his chin or decorating his neck, he simply had NO MASK. He made no attempt to find one or put it on as a display of respect and courtesy. When I asked him "shouldn't you be wearing a mask?" he mumbled a reply about no one can hear him when he's wearing a mask, but that if he came out from behind the counter he would put one on. Let me say - This did not feel like a warm, or even respectful, welcome. It did not make me feel confident that other protocols like cleaning, etc. are being taken seriously here. In addition, the rooms are old and dated. If I hadn't taken the "promotion", at the time of booking, of a slightly lower price for the week if I paid in full (non refundable), I would have stayed one night and taken my business elsewhere. read more

Three stars because of happy hour. If it weren't for that it would have been a 1-2. Staff was great but here are my gripes. I checked in as a "Marriott member" with some set preferences. I like a high floor and a king bed. My preferences were reiterated upon check in. I was given a 2nd floor room with a view of the roof? I did enjoy happy hour, the bar staff was pleasant and very accommodating. Being that I am here for business I spend a lot of time in my room. The bed is amazing, pillows the best. TV, sub par. Worst television picture I have experienced as a child of the 80s, in the 80s. I ordered room service, a description of a chicken quesadilla with green onion. Zero green onion quesadilla was delivered. It was good but lacking a key descriptive ingredient, which is why I even ordered it. Experience overall, meh. read more

My first and most important feature of any hotel room is cleanliness. This room was not at all clean. Carpets stained and filthy. Topped off by dead hard-shelled beetle of some kind on the floor. We stayed over Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, so we are always thankful for any staff willing to work on those days. But it appeared the hotel was maybe half empty, or more. No upgrade was offered, even though we are gold elite members (which seems to mean nothing these days). We were actually located near the elevators which sounded like an elephant moaning. Only two towels. Really? And the hair dryer switch was broken....high only, no on or off.....just plug in or unplug. That makes blowing out your hair impossible. I attempted to use the iron (same no name brand as hair dryer).....as it heated up it poured water out the bottom. And it wasn't over-filled. Will not stay there again. read more

I was cross-traveling with my coworker and stayed here overnight. This was a great hotel for the price and with the upgraded room, I was able to enjoy the concierge lounge on the top floor. The concierge lounge was self serve food and you could pour your own drinks and add it to your room charge. There was alcohol, wine and beer along with salad and pasta. The football game was on the screen and people were in and out. I returned the next day for the complimentary breakfast. What I enjoyed the most was how big the suite was and how comfortable the bed was. I woke up early to hit the gym and was surprised by how big it was. It had almost a dozen cardio machines with free weight dumbbells that capped out at 50lbs. As soon as my workout was over I went to the lobby bar to order coffee. It was a Starbucks coffee stand with other grab and go options such as Odwalla juices and smoothies and fruit. The property is rather large but still small enough to not get confused and lost. I found this Marriott difficult to get around due its sprawling complex. Be sure to get a room close to the elevator or on 1st floor otherwise you will find yourself walking around for awhile. The front desk personnel were very helpful and friendly during my stay in November 2017. This hotel is in need of a major renovation soon by Marriott. I do not recommend this hotel. read more
