Back in the day when my friends and I would go clubbing at The Cellar we would park here. We had friends in the military, so it would be $3 for the night. The lot is ran by the Hale Koa Hotel. You get a much better rate if you're in the military or a veteran. My buddy works in the area and parks here. He gets the military monthly rate for $120. It's $210 for non-military. The parking pass he has is unlimited. He can park here 24/7 365 days out of the year. The lot is a decent size and can accommodate many cars. There are some holes in the cement and it needs to be repaved. The lines separating the stalls are also faded.

Great spot to park if you are eating at restaurants in surrounding hotels (Orchids, Monkeypod, Roy's, etc.). The Ft. DeRussy lot is operated by the Hale Koa, and offers monthly passes if you are in the area quite frequently. Active military and veterans do receive discounted rates with valid ID. The lot normally is packed but never fills up completely so you should be able to find a spot. It could use a repaving, there's a decent amount of potholes so be careful. If you work any any hotels nearby I'd say look into to monthly pass. Much easier than looking for parking or paying high parking rates at other lots.

lots of different scenarios for parking, but its still a great value!

So, when I was stationed at Wheeler Army Airfield/Schofield Barracks years ago, I used to park here when walking around with a few different friends and we could park for super cheap. Years later, I remembered about the parking and called to inquire if I would still be able to park here. While it IS open to the public, because I am service connected, I was able to get a discount. The parking garage by my hotel wanted $45/day (yeah, I know, thats cheap), but I did more research. when I called, the attendant told me to just buy a month pass. That's $130 for the month. FANTASTIC VALUE! So thankful for this being available.

1 January 2021 *rolls eyes while writing this review* I was spending the new year in Waikiki so I needed parking. As I was driving by I saw a sign that said 'military' so I did a U-turn and came back to this parking lot. When I pulled up there was no attendant so I figured I would pull in so as not to impede traffic. since this was impromptu, I did not have time to check Yelp to read reviews prior to proceeding. The parking lot is standard for what it is and very basic. You can tell is had not been maintained in a while. It needs to be repaired and the lines repainted. Maybe that's why the fees are so high. I took a ticket, pulled in, parked, then walked back to the entrance to read the information. After reading and seeing the prices, I decided not to stay. I was already at the pay station so I put my ticket in...GUYSSS, I WAS NOT PARKED MORE THAN 5 MINUTES AND I STILL HAD TO PAY $9. They do offer reduced rates for military but you have to walk to Hale Koa hotel to get your ticket valid. :/ If I did decide to go get it validated, it would still cost me $4 so why even bother?!?! I paid the damn fee and left to find street parking.

Parking Sign Came here for just slightly over an hour for Friday night fireworks and paid $14! Crazy expensive! My husband tried to get the ticket validated at Hale Koa and was rudely denied by an employee. He is 1. A Veteran. 2. A DOD civilian employee with a CAC card. There is also no parking attendant available. We definitely will not be parking here again! Only positive was that there actually was parking... must be because it's so expensive lol.

We will be in Waikiki Beach in August. We are staying at the Wyndham at Waikiki Beach Walk hotel. Because I am an Army Veteran and have military id I was wondering if we could park at the Ft. DeRussey Parking lot and what the rate is per day.?

$30 per day, although you would pay $95 for up to a month's stay. Check with Hale Koa hotel first

It's easy to turn into the parking coming from the South Street side than Punchbowl St and having to make the left turn into the parking lot. As you enter in, you would have to make a sharp right turn and go up the parking levels. The upper levels are for State employees of near by State offices. Stalls are not as wide. Now there's a parking pay station at the ground level. Be sure you get into parking lot before they close the door by 5pm. The parking lot is open to the public from 7am-5pm. There are posted instructions for General Public, Jurors and for Placard user. They changed it where they may not have a parking attendant. They just started this new pay system so it said bills and credit cards are accepted. It's a $2 per hour for the first 2 hours. $4 per hour for addition hours. Note parking on the street maybe a quarter for 5 or 10 minutes.

I had to get my information from Google, so I thought I would add this here. I received a summons for jury duty and one of my first questions was "where do I park?". Apparently there are two parking structures if you are going downtown for court-related matter (or otherwise). I was assigned to Circuit Court - Ka'ahumanu Hale (777 Punchbowl Street). If your summons says you are assigned to District Court - Kauikeaouli Hale, then you'd be parking at the municipal parking lots/street meters around downtown/Chinatown then getting a refund from the state before you leave the courthouse. The court also allows you to park on street metered parking, but instructions say do not feed the meters, and if you receive a citation for an expired meter violation, turn in your citation to the Jury Pool Office or mail it in the envelope provided by the court. To me this is humbug as I don't want to walk back to the Jury Pool Office when I am trying to leave or remember to have to mail it in. It's better to park in the structure, just come early for parking. Hours are from Mon-Fri, 700 AM - 500 PM. The South Street Parking Garage is on the left side of Pohukaina if you are coming down Punchbowl Street, and you have to cross over two solid-double yellow lines to get into the structure, don't do like I did and make a right into the Waterfront Parking Garage by mistake; luckily I was able to get out before I got charged. I got there exactly at 0653 and the gate opened up. As suggested by a Google reviewer, I backed into a stall so I could get out easier, and I wasn't holding anyone up as I got there early enough. I believe the first 4 floors are for public parking and the upper floors are reserved parking; it's not a very big structure so I can imagine running out of stalls early on. There's elevator and stair access to the courthouse. Once you get downstairs, stand in line to enter the courthouse, remove your belt buckle and put everything in a plastic bin, like the ones at TSA/airport. You go through a metal detector and then into the courthouse, then get ushered into the bottom floor office where you watch a video on being a potential juror and the day goes on from there. The jury pool office stamps your parking ticket for free validated parking, otherwise the rates are $2.00 for the first and second hour, and $2.00 for each additional 1/2 hour, but you may want to call to check to make sure this is correct. I also saw a Google review saying that it's CASH ONLY. Good luck! RETURN FACTOR: I got called two other times for jury duty selection but forgot where to park since it was like 20 and 17 years ago, but now I will come back to this page if I ever forget or get called back to duty.

I've been parking here for over a decade, as well as two other municipal parking garages in the area. Very easy to get here. Located on the right side of Bishop Street, both entrance and exit between 7-11 and Starbucks/Territorial Savings Bank, and another exit via South King St. It's definitely one of the most expensive rates in the CBD. But with gym validation, parking is only $1 Mon-Fri starting at 4:30pm, and Sat & Sun 6am-10pm for up to 3 hours. Every Federal Holiday, the rate is treated as a weekend. It's easily accessible via separate elevators into the Executive Centre Hotel with a set of escalators from street side down to the hotel lobby. Few negatives. No EV charging stations, many "Reserve" stalls on every level, so you may find yourself driving up to levels 6 & 7, cash only. Few positives, very clean facilities and elevators, wide parking spaces, security on site, and the nearest garage to 24 Hour Fitness. If you are parking here at night make sure you are aware of your surroundings, watch your back, females especially walk with a friend. Also Auntie working the exit booth is the best! You gotta go round (1) and round (2) and round (3) and round (4) and round (5) and round (6) and round (7) and round (8) and round (9) before you can use the first available stall. Then to get to 24 Hour, you gotta go down the elevator, walk through the lobby, go up the escalator then walk halfway down the block. THEN you gotta do all that shit again in reverse when you leave. What looks like a straightforward route on google maps is an $8 trap for 40 minutes of your car existing. Part of it is my fault since 24 Hour also doesnʻt validate till after 4:30pm, so donʻt be a fool like me and not do your due diligence. But there was too much design behind this trap not to be a glaring example of price gouging.

The parking is still cheap even with the recent price increase. I paid $4 for under 2 1/2 hrs. The parking spaces are tight. Some are reserved for the City & County and the majority seems to be marked for compact cars. I do not drive a big car & usually do not have an issue parking in compact spaces but these spaces are ridiculous. With a little maneuvering, you can get your parked whether you back in or pull in. The problem lies in once you're parked, opening your car door & squeezing your way out without try to touch the other car with your door.
