I started the process of changing vehicles in the hope of coming down to one affordable vehicle, and one which my dear wife would be comfortable in driving.
A rather famous cheshire-based company took my beloved Citroen Multispace and my wife*s Skode Citigo in part exchange for a very clean Skoda Fabia Estate - very low mileage - but soon learned it was judged by my dear wife as too small to comfortably get in and out off!!
..... back to that trader.... paid a small fortune for a Peugeot Rifter which persisted in engine warning lights coming on, till the trader offered to buy it back, less an agreed sum for the mileage I covered in the vehicle.... "If only I could find a low mileage Citroen Multispace!!" I kept crying to myself... eldest son came to the rescue identifying the vehicle offered by Forton with a ridiculously low mileage (6K) Multispace. Quick visit on a Saturday afternoon... paid a deposit... two weeks later car ready with 12month*s MOT and a set of new tyres. Wonderful !!! Quick trip by train from down here in Stoke on Trent...very helpful pick-up from the BR Station... settled up and drove away !! Still going strong at 12K mileage. New Battery fitted (no problem !!) Last service keeps the vehicle in tip-top condition !!
Last comment.... Forton appears to be the exception rather than the rule when it comes to changing cars !! Well done All !! ..... particularly Stuart... If and when it comes to changing again (I am now 80 !!), I*m sure the trip up the M6 will be well worth it !!
Again, many thanks.... Peter David Palmer - 07773 - 859399 read more
