These guys are not "printers" they are ARTISTS! Period. We have been printing with "The Dans" and Forward for over 5 years now or close to it at least. I am a part of an artist inspired underground t shirt company in NYC.. and Forward Printing printed our first official line and everything else since. We have been through a lot with them and have seen them grow from a small family oriented partnership of two cool guys, to nationally reknown status and have watched and heard them receive all types of awards and accolades since this time. They deserve it. They practice true artistry with their printing over there! Some of you may not know this..... but those who.... do really know just how difficult and tedious making a screen is.. even a simple one. Our designs are not simple at all. Our designs are artwork. Surreal Artwork for the most part. More than 90% of printers cannot, do not and will not even attempt to try to print for us. "Your designs are too intricate," "This requires us to bring someone else in, so we have to pay them more," We don't have machines or inks for this stuff," I've gotten it all as in terms of excuses and reasoning. The truth is .. they don't have the talent on there staff or just don't want to spend the time to make a fine quality product. Being a business man looking for the best deal AND best quality, I've done my fair share of shopping around; Not just in the USA but all around the world. One thing that is unmatched is the quality of what and how Forward prints. These guys do whatever it takes. If they don't know how or have never seen something.. they will learn, figure it out spend more time on R and D and still make it happen. There is nothing they cannot do, because they simply refuse to not figure out a way in the name of art and design! They have so many different techniques and experiment with each and every one... like a true artist.. till perfection is reached. First of all, these NEGI-YELPERS are crazy. I needed 100 black v-neck shirts printed in 48hours, not only did my printer flake but my designer flaked too. I was desperate and out of time. I made a list of prospective printers I found on yelp, and found forward printing, and looked for the bad reviews to plan a worse-case scenario. After reading the bad reviews and noticing that these were based on petty/pathetic reasons I called Forward Printing in the morning. On the Second Ring, Jessika picks up, and I explained my situation, told her not only do I need 100 shirts printed in 36hours but I also need you to design it. BOOM I could already hear her mind racing with ideas and a plan of action. She told me to email her some ideas of what we envisioned and 2 hours later she sent me 6 different proofs of prospective designs from their art department that were perfect for such a short notice. Gave the approval around 12:30pm, got a call at 3pm the next day saying they are ready for pick up! Got there(super easy to get to), and they had them folded and in a box still hot from the press. met the owner who plays an active part in the production since Forward Printing is his baby and passion. They have an INDUSTRIAL-sized production assembly that will blow your mind! IT'S CALLED THE MOTHERSHIP! Largest in the nation. FACT! Not only did they save my sanity but they saved my pocket too, better prices than any of the dime-a-hundred-dozen online printers, fastest turnaround I've ever even heard of, and just the best vibes. Like I said, these negi-yelpers are those crazies you see in a store complaining about why there is water in their coffee. Or the crazies that get mad because its 100Degrees outside but they want to wear their sweatpants. Or the crazies that (fill in the blank) They use Water-based printing which is Amazing! its literally impossible to crack, fade or bleed since the actual cloth fibers are dyed not just pasted on. Remarkable quality! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Will be back for sure, doubt I'll ever hire or trust someone with my projects like I would FORWARD PRINTING. Jessika Thomas made this possible, I wouldn't have been able to this rush project anywhere else, especially for this price. Great quality printing from an environmentally friendly company! My company, Sun's Free Solar, needed some quality zip-up hoodies and t-shirts for our employees and customers. Kate was very quick with her email response/quote. Prices are reasonable in general for silk-screening services, but when you see the end product, you realize that you are actually getting a much better deal than you originally anticipated. I had made an error in approving my order and it was later discovered that I had given the "ok" for the wrong type of hoodie. Our company APEX Race Parts had a great experience with Forward Printing. We had a last minute order for an event and they knocked it out of the park - the shirt quality and print quality were outstanding and done ahead of schedule. We went with the waterbase discharge ink on a Canvas+Bella garment. There are lots of screenprinters online, but the customer service was fast and friendly and is what sold me as a first time client. The screen printers may do good work when they want to, but they make it very clear they don't need new business! First, you have to be very patient to get a quote...if you call repeatedly, a person will pick up, but otherwise you get directed to voicemail. I had a design and 36 shirts to print, but the person I got on the phone stated that 72 shirts were required if you supply your own shirts. She said that 36 shirts is way too small of a job to print (in a disparaging tone), but she could not recommend anyone else. I tried to find other companies, but didn't right way so I called back and offered to pay whatever makes it cost effective for the company (figuring she'd just take the 36 shirts less than they require, multiply it by the markup on each shirt and add it to the quote). She grumbled that she had to first review the artwork to see if they could even do it. So I emailed the artwork and heard nothing for 2 days. When I called back to inquire, she told me I was pressuring her, indicating that it was very rude when I was asking for such a big favor (?? Didn't I offer to pay extra??). I explained kindly that I had a deadline, and just needed to determine if the company would be willing to do the job or not, as I didn't have extra time in my schedule if shipping is required. That's when I gave up and found another company - in San Francisco that does water based screen printing and whose employees are amazingly nice and accommodating when they answer the phone!! Don't be fooled by Forward Printing's good SEO...keep looking for someone who wants the business, and who is polite - I can only imagine what happens when there is a mistake with the printing!! read more

Straight up.These are the best printers I've ever run across. Forward Printing has been doing our work since the early days and it feels like everytime I visit the shop , they are improving. From foils,to 3M,to anything else you can name, if it's possible in the universe of science and reason (sometimes,the former isn't even necessary), they'll do it. The only gripe I have with Forward Printing is simple: they don't talk about themselves enough. From what I understand, screenprinting is highly competitive and a TON of people do it. These guys are setup to do anything under the Sun and then some with a smile.I wish more people knew about them and just shared the wonder and magic that they bring to the table.Outside of that, no complaints. As for that 1-star girl, she seems like she has some trust issues she needs to work out after an active listening class. These guys are professionals and have a minimum they need to meet to avoid loss of capital and time waste as it's a small business....don't let that discourage anyone,as they'll work to get you done on time and educate you while growing with you. Forward printing is the best t-shirt company I've ever worked with - hands-down. I was, arguably, a pretty annoying client, in the sense that I took forever to decide exactly which t-shirt to go with, what design to use, what colors, etc. But Candi (the woman I worked with) was SO PATIENT with me and really helped me get the perfect final product. The guys at Forward Printing are only good to work with if nothing goes wrong, but God forbid if they mess up your order, then you see their true colors, and their lack of integrity and customer service. They severely messed up close to 50% of my order with rejectable product. No, I am not a dis-gruntled employee or a competitor. Just see the report on the Better Business Bureau's website (BBB CASE#: 57189663), to which they were unable to respond satisfactorily with respect to why they were unable, and unwilling, resolve an issue with their utter lack of quality and process control on my order; they sent me my order of t-shirts with severe ink bleeds, dirt, and inexcusable mis-registration of graphics, basically trash printing. Please feel free to contact me and I can send you pictures of their "work" and "crafstmanship" for which they are being taken to court, and don't just fall victim to believing that everything they do is innovative and perfect, because that's far from the truth. I am following up with taking them to small claims court to get my money back, but if you just want to avoid the headache, it's best to avoid Forward Printing and look elsewhere to the many silk screening companies throughout the Bay Area and Nor Cal. Yes, you see a lot of stellar reviews here (all of which they requested their satisfied customers to provide for them), but I am sorry to say that my experience has been disgusting to say the least. I have been reading Yelp reviews for years, but I opened an account today just to leave a review for Forward Printing. That tells you how much I enjoyed my experience with them and wanted to share it with you. Recently I planned to print customized bandannas as wedding favors to hand out to our guests. Not knowing where to start, I called a few businesses that had ads on Craigslist at that time, and I also sent them by email my initial design. I heard back from Forward Printing the same day with a quote that was laid out very clearly. In contrary, another business replied my email many days later with a very unclear quote that was twice as high as the quote I got on the phone. Of course, I decided to do business with Forward Printing. Throughout the process, I was impressed with how professional both Dan H and Dan C are. They are very accommodating as well. For example, I did not like the website of the bandanna wholesale vendor that they already had a business account with and decided to go with another one. They did not try to discourage me from doing that at all. Even though I came up with the initial design idea, I did go back and forth with Dan C on the final design. I was nervous that I would be charged the art work fee according to their policy (clearly stated on their website), but that did not happen either. In the end, when my final bill came, it was a few dollars less than the initial quote because they took one bandanna off (maybe they used it to experiment). I couldn't believe that! Who would really count 96 bandannas? But they are just THAT honest! Of course, our guests liked our bandannas. I know because the amount of the bandannas we gave out exceeded the amount of our guests. :-) I will recommend them to anyone! read more

Forward printing does quality printing and the printers know what they're doing. The problem is the woman who is the account manager doesn't know what she's doing. She's unnecessarily obnoxious, combative and apparently more interested in starting an argument then actually resolving anything. From the wonderful customer service, to their attention to detail, and their innovative processes, Forward is the BEST print shop I have ever worked with. I have dealt with the frustrations of misprints, missed deadlines, and shoddy workmanship when working with shops in my area (College Station, Tx) for the past 6 years. I found Forward through a Google sponsored link and was skeptical about sending my shirts and money across the US to another company that is "too big" to actually care about my project. I was wrong, and pleasantly surprised with how receptive Jessika, their head of accounts, was when we talked about my order. I wanted some foil printed t shirts made and every other shop I talked to was either going to charge an arm and a leg or didn't even offer this technique. It turns out these guys freaking rock foil like it is nobody's business! They printed my shirts on time, even though they were in the middle of moving shops. They always made time to answer or return my calls and emails in a timely manner. They even went through the trouble to snap some pics of my shirts, fresh off the press, so I could sleep at night knowing how my shirts turned out. Oh yeah, they also did an AMAZING job on the actual t shirts, living up to the hype. I will NEVER get a t shirt printed elsewhere again.
