The store is small cramped and had very little for costumes, despite the fact that the biggest day to dress up was coming up fast. After looking at the miniscule selection and being stared at the entire time by the sole clerk working there, the friend I was with and I decided to leave. The second time I visited Taboo was for professional purposes. I entered the store and promptly asked the [again only] clerk if she was aware if they were hiring. She gave me a sour look as if asking "how dare you come into my workplace and have the audacity to ask for a job," coldly told me "no," and went back to what she was doing. Feeling unwelcome, I left. The third time I visited was today. I arrived at 2PM, an hour before opening, because I forgot their crazy hours and I could find no sources online that had appropriate hours. After seeing the time I left to go about my day. I returned at around 3:09PM and found that the store was still closed, even though they should already have been open for 9 minutes. My friend and I looked in the dark windows and saw nobody there. There was no sign on the door saying it would be closed this weekend and when we called, nobody answered the phone. We ended up waiting for half an hour outside their door before we finally gave up and went home. With the terrible customer service, the lack of professionalism, and the poor selection I am surprised that this business is still even open. Needless to say, I will be doing my shopping elsewhere, regardless of the fact that Taboo is the only shop of its type in Walla Walla.

It is very hard for me to believe that these are actually true reviews. I'm suspicious that these negative reviews were posted to give the business a low rating. Because of this, I would like to say that I love Falkenberg's and I have only had OUTSTANDING service. I don't live in Walla Walla, but if I did, that would be the only jewelry store that I would go to. I love supporting local businesses and I really enjoy stopping in whenever I am in town just to look around. They have a great selection and a wide variety of items. In addition, they often have a lovely selection of Estate Jewelry. It's always fun to check out that section. The last time I was there, I found a beautiful pair of pearl earrings. Keri assisted me with my purchase that day and she even cleaned both mine and my husband's wedding rings for free. At first, we declined her offer to do so, but she was so very kindly insistent, so we acquiesced. We were so glad, because our rings looked like new again. Falkenberg's may not be the least expensive store to purchase jewelry; however, they are very reasonable for the quality and the service that they provide. And...if you are in Walla Walla, it makes more sense to check them out first before heading to the Tri Cities. And a couple small diamonds in the halo (which Shauna got very defensive about and called them minute during her argument) are permanently black from heat damage. The band had a nasty Crack which we were able to get fixed elsewhere, and they lost an original "minute" diamond from the halo and replaced it with a lower quality diamond. Very different color. Save your money and time, go to tricities.
