New to the area, and I'm also a city person, so I'm always on guard with incredibly nice southern hospitality since I've been here. Well... I signed up for Fosters maintenance plan and had their guy come out to do an inspection on my equipment etc. etc. I cannot tell you how comfortable I felt with him saying "we don't need to clean your vents because they're clean," and then he told me everything that was right about my equipment and air handling, etc. I'm just so impressed that he did not sell me vent cleaning, and I wanted it, and he said you don't need it. That's an honest person, and I believe an honest company hires honest people. If I could give them 100 stars, I would. Shout out to Zack and Spanky. read more

In town visiting my elderly parents for the weekend and their unit went out Thursday. They had somebody out Friday morning to let us know the outside unit needs replacing. A sales representative, Sam, came out later that afternoon and took measurements and looked at at everything ac related and installed a temporary window unit. Came back Saturday morning with a quote for new units and explained everything in detail to my father. What should have taken 15 minutes to explain turned into 45 minute trip. Sam took the time to sit and chat with my father about fishing and being in the service. Being in hospitality for 30+ years it is nice to see being hospitable is not dead. This time spent with my father made my day and made my dad smile. Sam is top notch, professional and most importantly personable. Thank you Fosters for treating your customers like family. read more

I contacted this company for a estimate on changing out the evaporator coil for my inside unit. I already had a technician diagnose it, also we can clearly see the leak. I just needed a quote on pricing so i can decide which will be a better option to go with. Foster insisted they need to charge me a $110 fee just to come out and see the leak for themself and would not give me a estimate. What if they come out for a $110 diagnose fee and quote me overpriced. Im basically throwing away $110. Sounds like theyre trying to make a free $110 scam read more

I bought an old house a few months ago that I'm remodeling. This is been a very frustrating and stressful process, due mainly to the many incompetent workmen and integrity challenged companies out there. But working with Foster's, particularly Zack Ford, has been a pleasure. Foster's honest, friendly and conscientious employees totally reconfigured and replaced my entire heating and air-conditioning system with no mess and no drama. After more than a decade of preventive maintenance contracts with Foster's, their most recent service visit resulted in water damage to my ceiling - evident within 15 minutes of restarting the unit. After three subsequent inspections by other technicians and Supervisor's, they offered to "sell" me a solution to prevent future occurrences of the damage their preventive maintenance resulted in. They stated that - even though the ducts have never dripped onto and stained the ceiling in the 15 years since they were installed - and the system being serviced by Foster's alone for the duration of that time - this is what they allege happened "within minutes" of their most recent work, and was therefore not their responsibility. It was noted that even though their technician used some two gallons of liquid solution in garden sprayers on the inside unit, that had nothing to do with it and was purely a coincidence - it couldn't possibly have caused the visible water damage. As a further observation, the ceiling has not been wet again since this incident. I'm sure that, too, is just a coincidence. Prior to this incident, I would have given Foster's 5+ stars and have often recommended them - even hiring them to replace my mother's a/c system a few years back. They were great for years - right up to the point that their service resulted in actual damage - then it was somebody or something else's fault. In all fairness, I will continue to share my experience dealing with them, good and bad. This reflects MY experience with them - yours may be different. Buyer Beware. read more

Foster's Air Conditioning & Heating - Water Stained Ceiling - Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC Near Me - Gautier, Mississippi

I moved from Chicago to Mississippi and I've had the darndest time finding repair people. Been through two other companies, until I tried them. One big issue i have is that i live in Pascagoula and all the good techs are centralised in Biloxi/Gulfport and sometimes don't like to make the trip. They're the few that I've found that gives me a northern like experience meaning punctual. Kind of expensive for an assessment ($95) but not terrible for repairs (usually 2x the price of the part online). They've also saved me quite a bit of money and talked me out of buying new units. I bought a nearly 60 year old house, for next to nothing given its size, with four units that are around 15 years old. And the last, local group, kept screwing it up. Foster's cleaned their mess and saved my motors from being fried due to previous "repair" attempt. You schedule a time, and they're usually on the short end of the time. Like currently as of writing I had a "NOON" appointment and they're coming before 12pm, and they usually come earlier than estimated. Which is rare down here. USUALLY you burn a whole day waiting for them. Like my pool cleaner. Also, they call you if they're running late, another SOUTHERN rarity. THOUGH, don't buy thermostats from them, they gave me a part number for one of the thermostats, wanted $400 for it, looked that part number up on Amazon and found it was maybe a $120 thermostat. Also, those are usually easy to install (if you remember to cut the power and not trust your dexterity, which is what happened recently to me). OTHER than that, I've never had to call them back out shortly after a repair. Only when a thunderstorm blew both the AC unit fuse and the circuit board fuse. read more

Had a problem with the ac turning on. Called the office and Meghan was very polite and helpful. She put in a service request right away. A few hours later a tech showed up. He came all the way from Biloxi to Waveland. Tony was very curtious and helpful. Evem though it was 6 pm he stayed to make sure the ac unit was working properly. I would recommend Fosters to anyone who needed ac or heating service or equipment. read more

They do respond a little faster than other companies in the area and their techs have always been polite but the overall quality of work is not that good. Their annual service contracts are not worth the money either. I had to have my coils removed and cleaned a couple of years ago and decided to go with a service contract. They come out twice annually to clean and inspect. Now they are telling me that my coils need to be pulled again because they are impacted and can't be cleaned without being removed. And that will cost me $315. If the techs had been cleaning them every 6 months like they were supposed to I would not need to have this done again so soon. The tech here yesterday had my AC off 3 hours and virtually did nothing but an inspection. read more

A long term customer who has seen customer service, reliability, and expertise deteriorate. Cost and annual service agreements are unafordable. Service techs are toung and inferior work often means follow-up calls by senior techs. Looking for another HVAC company. read more

Twelve months ago I had Fosters replace my old air conditioner and furnace, and blow insulation in the attic. My heatiing bills this past winter were down to about 30% of past years costs. My air conditioning bills were cut in half last year. They probably cost a little more than others, but I am very pleased with their work. read more
