I ordered a Pelikan pen on 06/04/22, and got an immediate email that the items are not in stock, which is fine at this moment. On 6/23, I emailed them to cancel my order if the pen is still out of stock. They emailed back the next day they would have other colors available early next week, and I agreed to wait. On 6/27, we agreed that I would swap to a green color pen from a red one, because the green will be available SOON. No news ever since, and I emailed them on 7/17 and 7/26 to cancel my order. No reply for either of my email. I went to check their website, and found out that their website showed a few colors of the pen I ordered were available including both red, the original color of my order, and green. I emailed again on 8/3. They finally replied on 8/5, and said my order will be shipped early next week. No news ever since. I emailed AGAIN on 8/22 and 8/26 to cancel the order. No reply. I tried to contact them through PayPal, still no reply. Finally I emailed on 8/29, and said I will sue them if no refund (I placed some orders of montblanc Pens in July. Stupid me...) They eventually replied telling me "Lawsuits can be filed with a Dutch judge, but it simply isn't necessary as we will cancel your orders." The orders were cancelled, but I never get my refund.

After reaching over several weeks and repeatedly getting the runaround, I had to open a credit card dispute for a chargeback. I researched and found a very similar experience posted online from 2019, and that shopper said it happened to them more than once. This is not how we do business in America. Buyer beware. There are many many other fine pen stores to choose from that do business honestly.

My biggest tip for those shopping here if you're planning to leave the EU within 3 months: - Ask for a Global Blue VAT refund form and make sure the retailer stamps and signs it. Your order must be at least €50. - Why? Because the prices you see and pay include VAT (similar to sales tax). If the refund process is done correctly, within a few weeks you'll receive roughly 10% back. - I had it refunded directly against my credit card balance. You can get it back in a variety of methods (cash, bank deposit, etc). - Fill out the form you get and get a customs stamp. The most convenient method in my opinion is to simply get the stamp at a participating airport (Schiphol, for example), you can also drop it off at the airport. Otherwise you'll have to personally mail it. - You *must* show the customs agent an outbound plane ticket for proof of exporting the product. - Of course, make sure to read the instructions you get in its entirety. I love stopping in and checking out their cosmetics and bath and body products. Last year I stopped in to buy gift sets from their Rituals counter for my family during Christmas time. Everyone was very helpful and they individually wrapped each gift I bought. Also during holiday season they have their own display of holiday lights which is fun to look at. Conveniently located within a few meters walking distance from the Eindhoven train station, this store is quite easy to get to.

Though everything here may be inexpensive it might still be best to plan a big spending budget because believe me, you'll want to buy EVERYTHING. From arts and crafts to snacks, kitchenware, home décor (for kids too!) and even some small pieces of furniture, Søstrene Grene is practically a one-stop-shop for about 75% of life's necessities and I love it! Definitely a fan, definitely coming back and I think the photos speak for themselves.

It's located on the bottom floor of a converted school house that is now also a residential building with 10 apartments. There's a small apartment area, included as part of artist residency in the gallery. The art gallery space itself is this big, light filled room with massive windows overlooking the front garden. Also at the entrance to the art gallery, check out the little library bookshelves (unfortunately for me, all the books were in Dutch when I was there). After checking out the gallery exhibition (which luckily for me had Artist's notes inn English) we went to the front garden and had a lovely time sitting on the benches, soaking up the sun.
