The whole schools grading system is based on the idea of "if you can copy what the teacher wrote and copy the notes down on the 'test', then you pass." Also being apart of their "gifted and talented" program and getting an honor roll certificate, it doesn't really mean anything. It just means you can copy notes and do the bare minimum. In my opinion this school is for the kids who can just hardly do the bare minimum, so that reaching the bare minimum deserves a nice little piece of paper with their name on it and "honor roll" written across the top in shiny golden letters so they can feel all warm and special for simply paying attention and taking the time to write a few sentences.

There was a time that I told the dean about what was going on, the micro aggressions and everything that the teachers did not talk about. She talked to the students then immediately after they came in the classroom cheering because they said she didn't care. I decided not to go to the highschool because I knew that no one would care. Wonder why I don't trust deans anymore? And my brother goes to the highschool. For a school that's supposed to help with special ED kids, they do not check in with their students enough about grades or tutoring.

This school has a complete lack of responsibility or respect. The same girl has continually said…read morerude and demeaning things to many people within the school. The same girl has told someone to kill themselves then continued to rudely talk about her teammates. After this report there was said to be someone who was going to take care of it and talk to this girl. It has been weeks and nothing has been said or taken care of. Janitell needs to do better about bringing justice to the students who do wrong.

this school sucks at following their anti bullying program... especially Aragon Elementary School…read morein the fountain fort carson district.. they are the worse school I have ever seen. plus to have a teacher belittle a student in front of other students to point she is crying in hysterics to is appalling.. AND to have a student punched in the face and they never call the parent... these are facts cause they are my grandchildren. These are just 2 examples of how little they pay attention to the students in there school. they never follow through what they say they will do.... only thing that kept me from going to the news station was my son said to let him deal with it. And if they continued to ignore him and his ex wife then I could step in. My son had to go to the superintendent office to get stuff done cause the school principal never called him back after MANY Attempts to contact them to finally get something done... I would tell anyone to not go there if they can help it...never seen a school like this in my life.

When I first met Jenn, I knew she would be a great doula for us. Not only was she a personality…read morematch, but it was obvious that helping and empowering pregnant women is her passion, and it shines through in everything she does. The uncertainty of military life, and our family being a few states away contributed to our original decision to search for a doula. I wanted to try for a natural birth, but knew that if my husband happened to be away and my family support team was still a flight away, it would be difficult. While the birth didn't quite go as I had planned (our little acrobat turned breech at 39 weeks), we were as prepared as we could have been. During our pre-natal visits Jenn talked about options and choices we may have whether the birth was natural or not and encouraged us to have a C-section plan prepped, in addition to our best case plan. Little did we know that would be necessary when the day finally came. Not only did Jenn provide the consistency I needed, but her emotional support and knowledge prior to, during, and after the birth was incredible. Her help didn't end when she left the hospital the day our daughter was born. She continues to provide post-natal support- for example, after a conversation about breastfeeding issues, she sent me additional resources to help solve a bad latch. Working with Jenn was a great decision for us and I highly recommend you consider her as your doula!

This is very, very basic birthing care, reserved best for if you have zero support structure…read more Before our birth, we were notified that there had been a change in employment. Jen and the new doula met with us prior to giving birth and that was pretty much the only contact we had prior to the main event (aside from the bills that came monthly). They went over the birth plan and left. You're billed for eight hours of labor so we waited to call them. When we did, the new doula showed up and it felt like he was there to just watch me give birth - no coping techniques, no suggestions, no coaching. My husband actively tried to help - get me in the tub, put me in the shower, rub my back, grab tools for me, etc. - and the doula mostly watched and assisted my husband in moving me from shower to bed or bed to tub. My husband ended up sending him home and not calling him back. We were billed for a postpartum follow-up (in addition to prenatal care and labor). We didn't bother getting in touch with them postpartum as my husband got quite a bit of time off but Jen contacted me a couple weeks later about the postpartum visit. It had been described as a one hour visit that could help to answer any questions, or even just hold baby while I threw lunch together (very vague). When Jen contacted me about a time I mentioned "I could really use help at this time" and my husband would be present for the time she suggested. She said that was okay because they were only stopping by to have me fill out a form.. She showed up while my husband and I were prepping dinner and was more annoying than anything. I'm kicking myself for not being more upfront on the review sheet she had me fill out. Overall, it was a waste of a lot of money ($850) and I would not recommend to anyone in the area.
