The playground was undergoing renovation in November 2021. It's fenced, a major safety benefit, and right next to the pavilion and restrooms. Behind the playground a small woody area has a nature trail. Or, several nature trails. With dead leaves covering it, overgrowth obscuring part of it, and no signage it was difficult to tell at times if I actually was in the trail or carving my own. I did sometimes come to dead ends and had to retrace my steps. I found a couple of benches along the path(s). The trail is hilly and uneven. Obstacles such as downed trees lie across it. However, with houses around the three sides that aren't parkland it's easy to navigate your way back to the parking lot if you end up lost.

Neighborhood playgrounds are excellent, but otherwise lacking for a park. Kids will have fun or…read moreeat and watch kids play plus use the nice amenities for a restrooms. But don't come for hiking if any other adult activities.

There are shaded overwatch towers for parents to watch their kids in any part of the park, there is a splash park and multiple playground areas dependent on your child's size. We stayed for over two hours and the kids did not want to leave. Our kids ages range from 10-4 and everyone had a good time. My mother in law walked the trail several times. The other parents/kids were very friendly too, great park, great atmosphere. The only downside, which isn't even bad, it's expected, is that the bathrooms were not that clean, but it was manageable for what was needed for the kiddos to pee and go back to playing. When I'm St Louis again, we would come back!!

Though this park has the usual amenities like ball fields and a playground, its key feature is a…read morelengthy paved path that winds through the Spencer Creek subdivision and connects to other city trails and parks. The flat, 8-mile walking/biking path winds through a forest and along a creek. It's good for all ages and abilities. Mostly shaded in summer it's open in winter from native trees that have shed their leaves. Dog friendly. The path is extended by linking to other paved trails. Its northern point links to the City Centre Trail to City Centre Park on Mexico Road. At the southern point at Willott Road it links to Country Creek Trail to Covenant Park. An eastern spur connects to Alan Oscar Park. A baseball diamond, basketball court, two tennis courts, and football/soccer field cover sports interests in Spencer Creek Park. Two picnic pavilions and a large playground, which includes musical elements, will appeal to families. Restrooms available.

I loved that there are three different musical play stations to explore too. The pavilion has tons of seating, which makes it easy to take breaks or enjoy a snack, and the bathrooms are honestly the cleanest I've ever seen at a park. Plenty of parking as well, which is always a bonus. We were blown away by the cleanliness and the variety of activities for the littles. Definitely adding this to our top 3 parks there's just so much to enjoy here!

Aside from the obvious safety concerns that my husband and I have - this was a nice park. It is surrounded by trees, with a small bridge that crosses over to a woodland area. The actual playground is VERY cute with a zipline, swings, a musical instrument section, and a musical seesaw. There is also a sensory trail that we haven't explored yet, but we saw many families coming from and going to. Just keep an eye out on your kiddos especially by the entrance!

My first time biking Bangert I was alternately delighted and frustrated. A bicycle allowed me to…read morecover the entire island, something I've never done on foot. Every time I came to a path fork I took the trail heading away from the interior. So, it was a delight to cover the perimeter and finally explore areas I hadn't been in before. However, the lack of trail markers--even at the forks--meant much of the time I had little idea where I was. The trail map was no help and only by checking the sun's position and knowing where the river was did I have an idea of the general direction I was headed. That was frustrating. I kept thinking how a walker wouldn't know where they were, nor how far they were from the next fork that could take them back to Bangert's entrance. Beyond that, the island's trails are fairly easy. Paths nearest the River Road and along the north are solid and mostly flat. Trails along the river are sandy with frequent dips and switchbacks. I began by heading north toward Interstate 70 and its traffic roar. Once I made the turn south and biked further from the bridge the noise subsided and the ride became more serene. However, the trail also got narrower. Trees close in and it's easy to snag a handlebar or pedal. There were a few small tree trunks across the trail--part of the fun of mountain biking--but most were level with the ground. A few trunks showed recent evidence of large trees having been cut to allow the path to run between the sections. Carey in what you need: There are no facilities of any sort here.

Would love to give this a 5 star review, but went on the Slough Loop Trail and got about a mile…read moreinto the "loop" and hit a dead end with lots of downed trees and heavy brush covering the trail, with no real way to get around. Had to backtrack and try another trail. That trail was open with no dead ends. Hopefully St. Charles County parks will clear the downed trees this winter and open all the trails once again for Spring 2022. Anyway, nice overlook of the Missouri River just south of the I-70 Blanchette Bridge. The trails are mostly wooded with several spots that have views of the river.

This garden in the middle of Blanchette Park provides a serene environment all year round with the…read morechanging floral blooms and leaf colors. A paved path meanders through the garden with benches located at appropriate distances for rest or meditation. The Angel of Hope statue pays tribute to parents who have suffered the loss of a child. Each December a candlelight service here provides comfort to parents. Rau Garden can be enjoyed around your other Blanchette Park activities, or be a destination unto itself.

Nob Hill is distinctive from other area parks by two features: its fitness facilities and its bocce…read moreball court. This St. Peters city park has separate workout sections for adults and youth. There are also wheelchair accessible machines. Rubber ground covers provide extra safety. Nob Hill also has one of the few bocce ball courts in the county. A 1/10th mile paved path circles the park restrooms and covered picnic table. The park no longer has its swimming pool, which was removed during construction.

Jungle gym, sand volleyball court, basketball court, fenced-in dog park, level and paved hiking trail and large field for soccer (including goals) are all here to enjoy. Thereis also pavilions, restrooms, and a small cottage. This is what makes St Charles County so great.

My husband and I came here to walk our dog over the weekend and we saw a bald eagle! The park had a playground, sand volleyball court and a dog park. If you are looking for somewhere to have a nice walk, this is the place.
