Very Impressed with this Location, In the past I found fountain tire facilities to promote a lot more expensive product and push for unnecessary services. My experience at this location the staff was very polite and friendly, accommodating with my scheduling and after hour pick up requests, and even went out of there way to check in when I was running late. The product recommended (as I requested the more affordable and economical option) was exactly what I asked for, I drive a Subaru Sti with 18" rims, tires are not cheap and for a good reason, shopping here they were able to beat all other competitor companies. These guys will replace anything any and everything. They don't care that is brand new.. they don't care it nothing wrong with it. Professional scammers. U will always have 3x the bill here as compared to any reputable mechanic. Please don't be fooled by smiles. They stealing your money I was a customer for years, untill I finally got a quote from elsewhere. I did it a few times u v them and u always got me w extras not needed. So much it hurt to this day. I can truly not say enough good things here. After losing my home to a fire and my job the day before the fire I have been really in a pit. I had a tire losing air so I brought it here simply because it was the closest fountain tire to me, but it turned out to be much more than I had expected. It was only a $20 repair, but Brian (at the front desk) took care of it so I didn't pay a dime. They're an awesome team, always friendly and knowledgeable. My tire blew and the tow truck brought my car to a different tire store. Because I had Fountain Tire tires, the "other" company said i should contact them to solve my problem. The "other company" suggested I return to their garage, pickup my tire, bring it to Fountain tire and then return with a replacment tire. I think they forgot my car was with them! Long story short, the manager of Fountain Tire helped SO much. He is arranging for a tire to be couriered over to the other company and figuring out my warranty after. I have been their regular customer for 6 years but for sure, they have won my loyalty . They provide excellent service , they care... i was shocked to hear from the manager on the phone. So it is now winter! Thank goodness for THIS Fountain Tire. They are open Sundays! This new addition to their hours helped me to buy new winter tires and have them installed. I did not have to be without my vehicle during a busy work day. Even with it being a Sunday it was busy. That did not interfere with getting my vehicle back by the time promised. My work van broke down in Edson, we had it towed to the Edson fountain tire. They told us the 5.4 engine is known for blowing out spark plugs. They fixed it, we picked it up and went to work in Jasper for a week. We drive it home to Edmonton, where it did they exact same thing. Took it to fountain tire in North Edmonton, where they inspected it, and found the same plug they had fixed, failed again. They said it needs a new head, and there is NO warranty on the original repair. So the $1,000 we spent to have it "fixed" in Edson, was for what they said after, was "a temporary fix". I'm a professional tradesman, ALL my work has to be warrantied, wether it's my fault or not. I will never go back to fountain tire, and I'll tell anyone looking for tires, or auto service to avoid fountain tire at all cost!! Extremely poor service. Don read more

I use Fountain Tire to do my tire changes each year and recently got my tires changed again 2 days ago. I like Fountain Tire because I can just drop my car off with them and walk to work from there and pick up my car after work - it's hassle free! Another great perk is that they will store your tires for you. Living in a small condo this is a huge perk for me as I just don't have the room in my place to store a full set of winter/summer tires. When I recently got my tired changed they called me and informed me that my wheel alignment was off and asked if I would like them to realign for me (for $140). I decided to have them do it, and when I went in to pay they actually ended up giving me a discount because it was just a small realignment. They didn't have to d that so I thought that was very nice of them. Another perk is that they give you Airmiles, so it's nice to collect those points when spending that cash. The only Con is sometimes they take over 8 hours to change my tires so I do have to end up waiting around for a bit after work but I have been going to Fountain Tire for the last 2 years & have been satisfied with the service read more

Had excellent service at this location. I booked an appointment, dropped my vehicle off before they opened (leaving the key in the drop box) and walked to work. When I went to pick up my vehicle I was greeted as soon as I walked in. No issues, standard tire changeover... they even offered to store the tires for me. Saved me the effort of having to deal with it when I got home. Thanks for making an inconvenient seasonal changeover a lot less frustrating and annoying. I was recommended here by a friend and since I desperately needed new winter tires I went in to talk to someone about my options. The receptionist was very polite and helpful. He let me know about a sale on some tires and the complete service and price. I added on some filter replacements as well. The only thing I thought would have been nice was they do an alignment check but if they do need to be aligned they charge the full price. I dunno why but seems like maybe they could have that included for a discount price or something when you're getting a full set of tires and everything. I was able to make an appointment in 3 days which was nice and quick. I dropped it off around 9 am and it was done by 4. When I arrived they told me they could not do the wheel alignment as their machine broke down and I would have to rebook that. But there were no billing surprises and everything looked great. The guys in the shop were also very nice and professional. I called 2 days later to book the alignment and they were nice enough to accommodate me on the Saturday. I again dropped it off first thing in the morning and they got it done right away in an hr. Overall very helpful and professional staff and great work done. Glad I was recommended this place. I have purchased tires and used the services at this Fountain tire several times over the last couple of years and have always found them/it to be a very helpful, friendly and accommodating store. This time around, I was trying to be proactive regarding winter tires and I wanted to take advantage for their 4 for 3 sale. The employee I spoke with on the was very helpful and was able to create me a file and put some tires on hold for me to come down at a later time to pay for. Even once my tires were purchased and I was trying to complete the rebate online (and slightly confused), I was able to call the store and someone basically completed the rebate online with me as much as they could to ensure I was doing it right. I have taken my car there. They dammaged my rims on my car. Then told me I needed new shocks even though they were replaced a few months before and were fine. The last straw was I wanted to put some air in my bike tire cause it went flat while biking. They refused to let me put any air in. This was so ignorant. Will not be back and have told all my friends not to go there anymore. My friends take my advice being as I am a journeyman mechanic. I get so irritated with shops that say things need replaced when they dont. That gives all mechanics a bad name. read more

I've used this location 2 times. The customer service consistently sucks. The first time, customer service was not exceptional, but I dismissed it, giving them the benefit of doubt. Yesterday, I used this location for the 2nd time. When I dropped off my vehicle in the morning, the person at the counter was the owner itself and he was alright - no complaints. The guy at the counter in the evening was rude, angry ( I don't know at what or who) and by far the worst customer service experience I've had in a long long time. He wouldn't even look at me when he was talking and was outright rude. At first I thought it could be something to do with the colour of my skin, but no!! he spoke really really well with the nice lady after me, who was also coloured. Hmmm.. Anyways, when I went to pick up my car he informed me that they(he) phoned me in the morning to let me know that my tire was damaged beyond repair and needed to be replaced with a new one. I was surprised as I didnt receive any phone call so I asked who he phoned. He said that he personally phone the number on the file and left a message. I took a peek at the work order ( that he was guaring with his life!) and pointed that the phone number on that was wrong and that the digits had been switched. He finally looked at me and said that it was what it was and he can't do anything about it. He went on to tell me that they didn't have the same type in stock and for now I'd have to use the spare. And then they made me wait for 15 minutes while they installed the spare tire. He didnt give me any other options. So, if using the spare was the only option, why did you wait all day long? You should have just put the spare tire on anyways!! After the spare was installed, he just shoved the keys towards me and told me that I could just leave as I didn't owe them anything. He did not even bother giving me my work order/invoice - whatever you call it. Needless to say, I am never going back to Founttain tire - this one or any! read more

I called and talked to owner Michael Sands about changing my winter tires over. He says "Sure, we can have it done around 1:30!". So I say, sure, but I won't be able to pick it up until 4:00. So we have a deal. I bring my car at 7 AM, they have it done and 4 PM. I get there at 7 AM, and he tells me 5:30. Okay, fine, he's just underpromising, overdelivering like any good customer service should do. My car's here already, so get on with it. Nope, it's done at 5:30. I don't know if he just lied to me to get my service, or if they just neglected to tell me when something changed, but either way, I'm not very happy. The work they did wasn't bad, but fat chance that I'm taking my car there to do the extra service they recommended. They do their job - but they are horrendously overpriced. They charged us $140 to change one front headlight on our car, another $250 to change the car battery. I know they're conveniently located, but do yourself a favour and shop around first before dropping off your car here. They never gave us a price quote before doing the work - they just did it, then served us the $400 bill when we came in to get our car back. If you must come here, insist on getting a detailed price quote before you let them touch your car; otherwise, it's going to cost you. read more

The worst customer service! I dropped my car off for an out of province inspection and got a call back with a list of things that needed to be fixed to pass. The person I spoke to was adamant that EVERYTHING they listed had to be repaired. They quoted me $1800. I decided to take my car elsewhere and still ended up paying fountain tire $400 for the inspection and for them to check why my engine light was on. When I picked up my vehicle the person at the front desk was very rude and they wouldn't give back my out of province inspection form which I payed for from the registry. I called the registry and I was informed they should have returned it to me. I took my car to another mechanic and there was absolutely NOTHING wrong with my car and it passed the inspection. I'm slightly new in town, so when I needed winter tires for my car, I went to Fountain tire. Winter tires aren't cheap, and when you buy them from a place, normally you get an extra perk or so from them. Well, when I went in yesterday to have my all seasons put back on to my car, I was asked if I'd like an oil change as well. I sort of needed one, not definitely, but I figured, "hey I'm here, I might as well." So after having an "appointment", I waited for over 3 hours to have my tires switched out and an oil change. When I go to settle up, he tells me it's $225!! To have tires switched and an oil change?? A $70 oil change with regular 5w30 to be more precise. Absolutely absurd. I have never in my life heard of a regular oil change costing over $45, even at the dealership. Besides the fact that they are charging $150 to switch your tires, even though you dropped approximately $600 on them there not long ago. His excuse was that they were located downtown... last I heard that wasn't a reason to financially screw your customers. To be fair to fountain tire, he gave me 50% off of my bill since I was never informed of these outrageous fees, but I am still never going back. I will definitely be taking my business for myself, and the 3 other cars in my household somewhere else. read more

I've never had better service with an auto shop. I spoke with Brian on the phone who was so so helpful and super personable. I called around 9:30 on a Saturday to get winter tires as I drove up 5 hours on terrible roads the night before. I told them I was leaving back for Peace River on Sunday and figured I would be out of luck to get any that weekend but was asking anyway. Brian checked to see if they had any tires my size-they didn't. He checked to see if he could get them delivered that day- they could, so then he booked me in to get them done that day and the crew worked an hour and half past closing time on Saturday to help me and others get winter tires! I was so impressed and all the staff were incredibly kind and willing to help. As I was dropping off my vehicle I hear the boss speak over the intercom saying he was getting pizza delivered to all the staff for lunch. I then hear how he bought them all breakfast that morning too.. No wonder these people were so happy and accommodating- it just shows when you get treated well at your work , you will be willing to go that extra mile for your customers.
