I had talked to and/or been to several other shops as I progressed on my travels and had done quite a bit of on-line research on the issue...based on that lingo and knowledge I left this shop feeling confident in their answers and knowledge more than all the others. Kal tire Fort St John. Was the most difficult tire buying experience in 30 years. Ordered $5000…read moreworth of tires and wheels and new wheel nuts, They said would be in and put together on Thursday, placed the order on the Saturday before, No stock on anything. Thursday Arrives, Wheels are in and they tell me tires didn't make it in wont be in until Tuesday. They magically showed up the next day. I pay over the phone with credit card no problems. Get the work order and they have the wrong truck info. So I phone and get that sorted make sure the wheels will still fit. Have a friend go and pick them up, Surprise no wheel nuts. So the front end staff finds some wheel nuts, phones me for credit card payment, All should be good. But no the wheel nuts were wrong. So the one front end worker just up and walks away. Next worker comes over, Finds the correct wheel nuts. But refuses to take credit card payment over the phone stating its against the law. Making my friend have to pay the difference for their mistake on the wheel nuts. Absolutely worst experience for tires. highly do not recommend. Will drive to Dawson creek or Grande Prairie next time. Or possibly never use Kal tire for tires again.

By far, the worst tire shop in FSJ. Bought a vehicle at Driving Force which came with a brand new…read moreset of tires. Turns out that they were incorrectly sized as they were rubbing on the fender liners. Driving Force told us that Integra had received two sets of tires and they had inadvertently put on the wrong set. Okay, no big deal. Driving Force arranged that Integra would put on the winters while we waited for the right size tires to show up. So far, so good. Kevin who worked at Integra at the time was really decent. When the new tires showed up, we went back and they swapped off the winters and put on the new summers. We were specifically told that Driving Force would pick up our winters and store them over the summer. Come last fall and of course, no one can find our tires. Worse, the miserable older guy at the counter is literally arguing that "our car has never been in their shop". I don't know why their records were screwed but the fact that he had the nerve to argue with me was unbelievable. Luckily I had taken some pictures of the vehicle with the winter rims installed and after some time one of their shop hands found our rims and tires buried in a shed. They had no idea who they had belonged to. The old guy didn't even have the decency to apologize. Anyways, since Kevin had been a decent guy at one point, we were willing to give them one last try yesterday. Walked in at 8:15 and asked the miserable old guy if they could swap out our winters (they are on rims, so no mounting or balancing). He comes unglued, "Not today, no way". Snotty tone. Dismissive. This guy is killing this business. Went to a competitor, they smiled, said they would get to it when they could and had it done that afternoon. There are a bunch of tires shops in FSJ, skip this one unless you like to be treated like an inconvenience.

Not only did they get our truck back on the road in an amazingly short amount of time they also charged us a very decent price for the work they did (other places in the states would have taken advantage of the situation and charged us more than necessary so we are very grateful for them being so kind). 10/10 would recommend anyone with diesel issues to go to this shop in Canada.
