The service when I visited was fantastic. Soon after I walked in and wandered through a couple of aisles, a staff member helped me locate the liqueur I was looking for (and quickly, too). The cashier was also extremely helpful and efficient. The liqueur I purchased was still a new product, so it had to be put into the system to ring it up. I had been searching for a specific rum all over CT now that not even total wine had (and they have everything) so I was pleasantly surprised when i found it. Even more so by how friendly the guy behind the counter was, he said if there was anything I ever wanted all I had to do was ask and he could get it for me, and that is exactly the type of customer service you can expect at this place. The layout itself is really nice, very well kept and clean, if you need cash theres an atm, and theres a bag policy too so make sure not to bring in a big bag unless you want to leave it at the counter. There's also a website and app for added convenience, and they host events sometimes too. Truly a one stop shop for all your liquor needs, specialty or otherwise.

There was cork in the wine and half the cork is in the bottle. I went to exchange the wine today and the pay at the cash register just said that she needs to talk to the distributor to get a credit. As a customer, that isn't my issue. I did not buy wine from the distributor I brought it from this store. I asked how long will that take and she said she doesn't know. She will contact me. This is my 2nd time at the store, so I'm not sure how she's going to contact me. I asked her to take down my information. She then threatens to call the cops and speak over me instead of taking down my information to call me back? I'm not sure what customer service training this is, but it's clear in the reviews that when this woman doesn't want to be a decent human she pulls a Karen and threatens to call the cops. I asked her to call them because they she would have my information as I did nothing wrong. While she wasn't listening and trying to take customers behind, please note I waited on line and told her that she can take the next customer when she writes my info. She finally wrote it down and I have the photo above as proof. It's clear that she has no lack of care as a normal store employee would have refunded me or gave me a new bottle instead of threatening to call the cops. I will be writing to the wine company as well as finding out who the distributor is and leaving a review with the BBB and then I will be getting my money back. I'd advise folks not to shop here going forward. They have old wine stored improperly and thus shitty ass corks. The owner just called me back 2 weeks later and literally accused me of opening the bottle of wine with a knife. They didn't ask any questions. Just told me I used a knife. Do not waste your hard owned money here. I will be writing a complaint with the BBB as this establishment is racist and down right rude.

The guy added that you also get a 10% discount on single prices if you buy four, and there prices were fair to begin with IMO. Don't fooled by the cooler cases and be sure to step into the beer cave to see the full selection! Super nice, super helpful, good prices, great selection--not much to say about the decor! I think I will be back in West Hartford, and when I do, this will be my shop.
