I didn't sleep the bed seemed comfy but my head felt like it was going down hill. So very tired today.

Check in is at 3 pm, I arrived around 12 pm and asked the front desk if I could check in early, but they said they didn't have a room ready but come back later and see what they have. Understandable. I called them at 2 pm to check on their progress with the room cleaning and they said they had my room ready. Great. However, I would have to pay $25 for that extra hour I would be in there or I would have to wait until 3 pm. So, I waited until 3 pm in the lobby and then got checked in, I finally got to my room only to find the key doesn't work. So had to drag all my luggage back downstairs to get the key rescanned. From check-in to 2 attempts to get into my room, I didn't get into my room until 3:20 pm. This is the first time I have ever had a hotel try and charge me for trying to get in a little early. I've gotten in 4 hours early multiple times with no extra charge. I typically leave 3 hours before check-out so should I get reimbursed for that? This is just bad business and even worse customer relations. If they were busy or setting up for an event, etc. I would understand it but when there is nothing happening and they are just sitting there. I just don't get it. Neither myself nor my team, who make regulars trips here, will not be staying at this hotel. Overall, that $25 will cost them thousands in revenue. Service is basic and not as helpful as you would think based on first impressions. It's nice looking soon as you walk in but don't let that fool you. Music on loudly in lobby which doesn't seem to bother you at first unless you have a room just above the lobby area. AT 10pm is loud as hell. Of course I asked them to turn it down and they turn it off for the nigh. There's breakfast in the morning in a large room just beyond the front desk but the downside is that they have reconstituted eggs and microwaved bacon so I'm eating out because that just turns me off in the morning. I'll grab a banana and that's about it. There's a work out room with free weights & cardiovascular equipment. There's both an indoor hot tub and pool next to each other and some tables and chairs on the inside pool deck..towels provided but if you're a female, I suggest to pass it up since all the perverted men come down there and probably pee in the water. There's an outdoor sun patio with chaise lounge chairs to relax in but for my stay, the construction of the parking lot paving and building across the street isn't desirable at all. But..it will eventually complete and you can relax when its all done that's if all the perverted men in town aren't staring at you up and down. God forbid you look them straight in the eye. They would construe that as an invitation. They have free coffee, tea and hot water all day in the same room they serve breakfast..nothing special. Property is near the main drag so you can access everything fast but watch out for careless drivers. It's all an accident waiting to happen. Wal-mart is next door as is the airport and once again it's perv central. You can walk to both although I wouldn't suggest it. Do your homework about this town first before you venture out on foot. It's not something you see around here I almost forgot to mention that if you travel with any valuables and you'd like to lock it up..each room is equipped with a safe in the closet that you choose your own pin to use. If you get lower level rooms, be prepared to hear stomping of elephants above you. People here have no consideration for the folks below them and in addition if you are in a room on the 1st level near the lobby, you hear absolutely everything..so I can't stress it enough. Bring your earplugs but hopefully you can hear your alarm go off in the morning. So far every night I've been here thus far (6 nights) I've been awakened to slamming of doors, noisy lobby sound system that's way too loud (apparently the installer put speakers in wrong), neighboring rooms who patrons can't find their "inside' voice etc. I feel like a walking zombie most days. I get to leave here for another establishment on the 1st. Thank you for small miracles. I hope my next experience is better.

When we pulled up to the Candlewood I knew it couldn't be so bad. The only thing this hotel is missing is a pool/hot tub. The staff is more than accommodating to our requests. Even when asked to make the upstairs neighbors tone down their raucous behavior. The free laundry and exercise equipment add a nice touch so we don't have to drive all over town to do our everyday routine. Probably the best hotel in Williston for an extended stay.

Seems to cater to oil riggers (guess that's what they are called) since there is a need for lodging for the new clientele with the "boom" of oil drilling. Arrived around 10PM on a Saturday night. About 4 cars in the parking lot. Not sure why I was assigned a room next to another occupant - I only know the room is occupied because I can hear their tv. The rooms are very nice, and out done by the very comfortable bed and nice linen. If I had a negative, it would be: since this is a new hotel, why not have USB ports in the desk lamp by the bed instead of just an outlet. Most of the hotels I stay at now, that are older, have these. Not a huge draw back, but heck, why not purchase those instead of the 1990 lamp :) If I were to ever be back in this area for an overnight stay, I would certainly book here again.
