Aside from a black hair in the shower, the service was excellent, rooms were nicer than I thought they would be considering the location. I find that hotel rooms are rarely ever clean - this one was pretty clean. Hairs in showers always gross me out especially when they're black (I'm blonde so I know they're not mine). Property opened March 2012 with 88 Suites. Everything new and fresh and expect to pay a higher amount then most places in town. Service is basic and not as helpful as you would think based on first impressions. It's nice looking soon as you walk in but don't let that fool you. Music on loudly in lobby which doesn't seem to bother you at first unless you have a room just above the lobby area. AT 10pm is loud as hell. Of course I asked them to turn it down and they turn it off for the nigh. There's breakfast in the morning in a large room just beyond the front desk but the downside is that they have reconstituted eggs and microwaved bacon so I'm eating out because that just turns me off in the morning. I'll grab a banana and that's about it. There's a work out room with free weights & cardiovascular equipment. There's both an indoor hot tub and pool next to each other and some tables and chairs on the inside pool deck..towels provided but if you're a female, I suggest to pass it up since all the perverted men come down there and probably pee in the water. There's an outdoor sun patio with chaise lounge chairs to relax in but for my stay, the construction of the parking lot paving and building across the street isn't desirable at all. But..it will eventually complete and you can relax when its all done that's if all the perverted men in town aren't staring at you up and down. God forbid you look them straight in the eye. They would construe that as an invitation. They have free coffee, tea and hot water all day in the same room they serve breakfast..nothing special. Property is near the main drag so you can access everything fast but watch out for careless drivers. It's all an accident waiting to happen. Wal-mart is next door as is the airport and once again it's perv central. You can walk to both although I wouldn't suggest it. Do your homework about this town first before you venture out on foot. It's not something you see around here I almost forgot to mention that if you travel with any valuables and you'd like to lock it up..each room is equipped with a safe in the closet that you choose your own pin to use. If you get lower level rooms, be prepared to hear stomping of elephants above you. People here have no consideration for the folks below them and in addition if you are in a room on the 1st level near the lobby, you hear absolutely everything..so I can't stress it enough. Bring your earplugs but hopefully you can hear your alarm go off in the morning. So far every night I've been here thus far (6 nights) I've been awakened to slamming of doors, noisy lobby sound system that's way too loud (apparently the installer put speakers in wrong), neighboring rooms who patrons can't find their "inside' voice etc. I feel like a walking zombie most days. I get to leave here for another establishment on the 1st. Thank you for small miracles. I hope my next experience is better. read more

After having stayed at multiple hotels in Williston, this is easily the best. I was shaking my head at the negative reviews. Maybe they have since gotten better. This property is clean and the rooms are comfortable and spacious. The beds are extremely comfortable with most other hotels in the area feeling like their beds are made of cardboard. The service is ok, it's the only reason it is not 5 stars. Not the most professional front desk staff, but not bad either. read more

Are you serious?! This property would not allow me to change my reservation, and thus insisted I cancel. I spent 20 minutes on the phone trying to reason with the clerk, but to no avail. They have a cancellation policy listed, but no mention of a change policy...beware! Booked through the company website, and spent 2 months fighting the charge with Amex....! Beware they charge your card upfront for your whole stay without telling you. When I called to complain and ask why I wasn't informed when I checked in the manager was rude and said she would let the front desk people know to tell you. But what does that help me? Or make things right? I stay at Holiday Inn Expresses weekly for work and have NEVER had this happen. Not impressed by customer service. Also I called the front desk on my first night stay to let them know that the scale in the weight room wasn't working and he said he would fix it or get a new one that day well it's been a week later and the broken one is still in the fitness room. read more

This hotel wouldn't allow me to change or cancel my reservation minutes, after I placed it. I spent 2 1/2 hours on the phone with IHG and the hotel and they still wouldn't allow me to make changes. Is this how you treat an IHG Elite Platinum Member? read more

First off I'm a value customer that has been satisfied throughout my membership with ihg until this last stay. The room that I stayed in had BED BUGS... I checked in at 4 am and checkout upon waking up the next evening to bed bug in the bed and bits on my arm and legs. When I checked out it was a holiday so no manager was available so I was told one will give me a call the following morning. I never received a call so I called them the manager was so rude so I decided to come in with my facts with was a picture I took of the bed bug and my bite marks. The manager still rude upon showing her my facts she argued that the marks on my body was not from bed bugs and the pic was not bed bug. They also called the police because I told her she was not professional and used one curse word she lied and said I was harassing her and wouldn't leave the premises when I was never asked the experience was just horrible and as a ihg memeber I feel like they should've handled it better even if I wasn't a member It should've been handled better read more

My 91 yr old mother, my sister and myself stayed for 4 days. Our experience with staff was wonderful. Especially Jeannie. Room was wonderfully equipped with plenty of outlets for 3 women and great amenities. Breakfasts were good. Elevator was so helpful. Great stay. Would stay again. read more

My fiancé and I stayed here, we enjoyed our stay WITH the free breakfast WHICH was good, AND the swimming pool and spa were also excellent, we had them all to ourselves for a few hours and enjoyed our privacy. read more

I'm in California and had to schedule out of town depositions in Williston, ND for my boss. As goes with leal cases, it had to be cancelled. The deposition was on Friday, I called on Tuesday. I was told that it was their policy that you had to give 72 hours notice of there was no refund. This room was already overpriced for flipping ND at $265 for a standard room. I have scheduled rooms in many other cities all over and never was charged unless it was less than 24 hours' notice and even then many will waive. This isn't Maui. Gees. The 800 number for Holiday Inn could not help me and referred me to the local Williston number. The person who answered could not help me, but said he had to talk to his supervisor and but doubted they would change their policy. Today is Thursday and he has not even bothered to return my call. This is terrible customer service. Hopefully we will never have the opportunity to deal with these people again, but would give warning for anyone planning on staying here. Gees I paid $220 for a nice room at a Westin in SF on a Sat. night in SF. RIp off. read more
