I was told in the initial meeting it's a $400k-$500k project. How? This makes abdolutely no sense. I was told the dormer (4ft by 3 ft) with the 2 bathroom redo's was $250k. Two 6ft by 9 ft bathrooms. Then the mini split (5 heads) and closet and 7 new doors and paint and other work would be another $150k plus. How? There is pricing for a margin and being greedy. This is just greedy. Hard pass and they should be embarrassed.

Our chose a custom remodel for our 1920's Minneapolis bungalow and our input on every detail was taken seriously and incorporated. The complete remodel includes: walk-in tiled shower with a window (yea!), a non-skid shower pan, and grab bars, new custom cabinets, new toilet, sink and heated tile floor. We had some outdoor fascia trim that had rotted in some places, and had peeling paint in others. The parts on the second floor were notably harder to get to. We ran into a busy time for First Choice Handyman, so it took a few weeks to get on their schedule. However, it was definitely worth waiting for. Presly and Darius arrived when scheduled, cut out the trim portions that needed replacement and replaced them, painted these new pieces and any sections needing some additional painting, and finished in less time than originally estimated. So, the final price ended a little less than quoted! Kelsey started handling scheduling and communications more recently, and her responsiveness has been fantastic. We recently had them out to do a multitude of smaller repairs, and they were quick, thorough, and efficient. Definitely a winner!

They do not use painters tape. I had paid them 800.00 to stain my windows and they also took almost 2 weeks to finish. They would come promptly at 8am but leave everyday at 10:30 and than come back 30-45 min later than only stay until 1-2pm. I gave them over 1000.00 dollars and 2 jobs. I than asked them to give me a bid to paint my kitchen cupboards out of curiosity and wanting to give them the benefit of the doubt and they gave me a bid of $4,000.00!! I can get new cabinets installed for that price! They up charge their paint and Stephanie is not a professional painter btw. They have a long way to go to learn how to be more professional.

His quote was 4x-6x what I received from other reputable painting companies with a lot of great reviews on Angie's list for the same process, using the same exact paint. Please make sure you get multiple bids before making a decision. I hope my experience was just a one-off and isn't typical for all of his bids. I was so shocked by how outrageous the bid I received was that I couldn't help but share. Again, I really feel bad that I had to write this review, but I hope it helps other people from possibly getting ripped off.
