So when I got pregnant for the second time, I knew I definitely wanted to have her on board for the birth! She is on top of the latest research and educating her clients and the community of midwives she supports. If you ask her anything about birth, pregnancy, any lab tests, breastfeeding, even just administrative or insurance matters, she is so helpful and responsive. She also gives options if insurance is not working out in your favor. Kaydee took note of the issues I had with breastfeeding as well as the depression and anxiety I had during my first post partum, and she made sure to keep a close eye on how everything was going with those concerns during the second post partum period. I hardly had any issues with breastfeeding because she recommended getting my second born's tongue tie and lip tie clipped as soon as possible. My supply was so much better and my nipples were not as traumatized as much! I truly felt SEEN and taken care of with her. She made me feel like I wasn't just a client and that she cares about me, not just my baby. When I needed more support during my fresh post partum period, Kaydee and Tiffany (assistant midwife to my birth) were there to listen and help, most importantly understand and let me sit in my feelings without judgement. Kaydee is a great midwife, teacher, and coach! I recommend her to any one looking into having a home birth!

These qualities coupled with the fact that she is highly experienced (she has been witness to hundreds of births!) make her a phenomenal midwife. After hearing about the experiences of other women, I feel spoiled to have received such care. Although Kaydee is highly experienced in her field, she clearly doesn't think she "has it all figured out", but respects the choices of her clients and never stops seeking to improve herself.
