I had very high expectations based on prior reviews of their second Sunday brunch but was sadly disappointed. Although the service was great, the food left a lot to be desired. Most of the meals we were served were cold or lukewarm and also very bland. We sent back an order of biscuits and gravy that was clearly not checked before being sent out because the dish was cold and so were the contents. The pickle on the Bloody Mary we ordered had the consistency of a mashed potato and the mimosas were extremely sweet with barely any champagne. The rest of the home was beautiful but most rooms when looking around were completely unfurnished so it felt like some of the spirit of the home was lost.

Attended their Father's Day Brunch. The mansion offers a unique and beautiful dining venue in a historical setting. The brunch was a flat rate for all you can eat and all non-alcoholic drinks included. That being said, I feel that the price was a little on the high side. Perhaps including one alcoholic drink per would compensate. The food was very good though and had a good variety of hot breakfast items as well as pastries. One complaint is that they had a nice selection of bagels sitting out with cream cheese and lox; however, there was no way to toast your bagel.

Went for our anniversary. Service was slow and food was very average for the price. Ordered a piece of pistachio cake to go, it was $9 and so tiny, we laughed all the way home.

Karen, the manager, was so warm and accommodating from the moment we first went to look at the venue.

Super friendly, very professional, & wants to give you exactly what you have in mind for your special day. Her and her crew have also put a huge emphasis on keeping individuals safe from the coronavirus by mandating temperature checks & wearing masks at the party. The tables are also spread out for social distancing & there are only 5-6 chairs per table. There wasn't a moment throughout the party planning or the event that I felt like I was being taken advantage of. I'd definitely host something here again!! I would highly recommend checking out Carnahan Hall for any event that you have in the future!

She helped me get everything planned, even knew things that I had spaced planning. She kept on top of things. Without her and my Matron of Honor, I would have been so stressed. We planned a wedding in 6 months, and during the corona pandemic, and we did it successfully. I highly recommend having your wedding here. The layout is perfect. They have a beautiful bridal suite, and a groomsmen suite. The bartenders were great! So much space. Separate room for the food line. Thank you Seema for providing the space for the wedding of our dreams! A night we will never forget!

It was a clear evening so I was able to enjoy the balcony. This is a good location if you want to enjoy Downtown Lafayette. Plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance. While this hotel was ok I do prefer some of the other nearby hotels. I frequently work in Lafayette and have stayed in IHG and Marriott properties all over Lafayette.

This was evident throughout the hotel during my stay. The lobby is a nice, comfortable place to meet up to relax and chat (except for that odor). The bar is nice as well. I haven't had a mixed drink there, so I can't make recommendations on that. Wine selection is average. The hotel was completely renovated approximately 2 years ago. Decor is new/modern. My room was clean and comfortable. They took out the pool when they did the renovation. There is still a small workout room. Now, why only 2 stars. In addition to the smell of gas throughout, I could not take a shower. Considering the new renovations, the state of the shower in my room was deplorable. And my room isn't the only one like that. We have associates that come in town and stay here. It is hit or miss on the showers depending on the room. Suites appear to have been completed with very nice showers and tubs so they typically try to book a suite. Regular rooms, all I can guess is they ran out of money??? I've posted pics for you. There are two other very nice hotels just across the river if you want to be in the downtown area. You'll pay a little more, but at least you'll be able to shower.
