After a meniscus repair on my right knee and ongoing cartilage issues, I tried several physical therapy facilities but never found the right fit. Most places were overcrowded, with the PT constantly bouncing between patients and rarely giving proper attention. Often, assistants guided the sessions, and I was left on my own without clear direction. That all changed at FOX Physical Therapy. I feel very lucky to have found Braulio, who is by far the best physical therapist I have ever worked with. At first, I was nervous it would be like other facilities, but Braulio explained that he treats a maximum of two patients at a time, and that made all the difference. Braulio is incredibly attentive and present. Even when working with another patient, he is constantly watching me, giving me feedback, correcting movements, and motivating me even from across the gym. He explains exercises clearly, remembers details even months later, and truly knows how to motivate you, especially when you don't feel as strong or in shape as you once were. What really stands out is that he stays focused on the work. There's no wasted time or unnecessary chatting. You can genuinely tell that he cares about your recovery and progress. I could go on with many specific examples, and write an immense review, but the bottom line is that Braulio is a highly skilled, dedicated, and truly caring physical therapist, and I recommend him without hesitation. I am still working with him and have seen amazing improvements. The facility itself is also very clean, well organized, and fully equipped for proper rehabilitation. Who knew getting your knee bent into shape could be this much fun? I came into Fox Physical Therapy thinking I'd leave with sore muscles and tears. I did still leave with tears, but they were the good kind. The kind that come from being pushed, supported, and genuinely cared for. The entire staff is incredibly friendly. From the amazing and helpful people at reception to the rest of the therapists. From the moment you walk in the door until you limp I mean walk out, everyone is warm, kind, and truly invested in your recovery. Now let's talk about Dr. Taryn Park. This woman is a miracle worker in sneakers. She always knew when I had more to give and pushed me (sometimes with a smile, sometimes with a raised eyebrow) to do it. Her mix of tough love and real encouragement helped me hit milestones I didn't think were possible. Because of her, I'll be able to dance at my upcoming wedding. Not well let's not get carried away to be fair to the good doctor I couldn't dance before the injury either. But now at least I'll be able to flail both legs around with equal enthusiasm. All jokes aside, Dr. Park is amazing!! She's incredibly skilled, genuinely compassionate, and somehow made physical therapy something I looked forward to. The facility is large and open and clean. My four visits here were post hip replacement. I was taught to stand up from a chair without using my hands. I was taught to rise from a flat foot stand up on to my tip-toes. I was taught to step over an 8 inch high obstacle on the floor by going sideways left and then back to the right. I was given lots of praise and high-fives. Fox PT accepted my insurance company and submitted the bills directly to them. When I got my statement at the end of the month I learned they had submitted bills for between $497 and $651 for EACH visit. They should be embarrassed. read more

I came to Fox at the recommendation of my doctor and physical therapist friend after knee surgery. I had many years of experience with physical therapy as I have already had multiple knee surgeries. Fox is in a convenient location and has convenient hours so I can go before or after work. Back in the first week of January 2017, I ruptured my ACL and partially tore my medical meniscus playing basketball (contact injury). As a very active person, this was extremely difficult to deal with. I went to my surgeon (Uribe) and he recommended prehab to prepare for an Hybrid ACL reconstruction along with a medical meniscus repair. Coincidentally Fox PT was down the street from my apartment. I did some research, and decided to do my prehab and post op therapy there. To start off, the front desk is extremely helpful. At the start, my insurance did not want to work with me, but with Fox PTs help they were able to settle everything with my insurance and get me into therapy ASAP. The facility is awesome. Everything is clean, organized, and gets you motivated to put in work. The staff in general is attentive, professional, but also fun and expect hard work out of you. They send you homework after every session and keep you accountable for getting it done. They push you during every session, and make sure there is improvement in some regard every time you come in. There is nothing "cookie cutter" about this place, as every patient improves at different rates and they understand this perfectly. The treatment and therapy is molded to you. While there I was treated by Michelle, Braulio, and Eric. They were all awesome with me and made Therapy challenging but fun. They were all extremely knowledgeable of the human body, and were able to answer just about every question I threw their way (I ask a lot of questions). They also remembered who did my surgery, what was operated on, and at what stage of treatment I was in, which to me was very important. Nothing worse than having someone treating you pre or post op that does not care enough to remember what surgery you had and with who. If I could give this place 10 stars I would. I am now 11 months out of surgery and can say I am almost back at 100%. My legs and knee are stronger than they have ever been. I put in a lot of work, but I attribute a good amount of my successful recovery to this place and their staff. I'm one of "those" kind of guys. I look like a beach bum on the outside but on the inside.... Type A occupation - high performer in my profession which makes me prone to injury. Fitness enthusiast - decades of sports and fitness activities (some def. not so smart - hey it's what you do when you are young) add up and on one day you are pain free and the next day you wake up and something hurts like f*ck. It's a challenge to find good PTs in South Florida. I'm very glad (thanks Yelpers!) I found these guys for my current issue (Rotator Cuff impingement); an annoying and slow to rehab issue. Eric did a great evaluation and diagnosis and Braulio (Mi jefe) has been amazing to work with to get me back to not waking up in pain AND even more importantly back in the gym! I've seen Dr. Espinosa work with with a variety of patients (not just fit athletic types like moi) and he really knows his stuff. They have all the cool gadgets you'd expect of a top notch facility but none of the pretension. You truly feel encouraged to make the changes to get better and look forward to sessions. Not the physical therapist you want if you are dealing with workmans comp. It's a shame he lets his business ethics get in the way of the therapist he could be. Remember always, workmans comp pays him, you are nothing but the vehicle to more patients and insurance $$$ he gets on a regular basis. He has no interest at all in your actual well being. He will risk permanent damage to you to keep workmans comp clients coming in at the rate he needs to in order to pay the high rent and for his high tech equipment. I was one of his first clients for workmans comp if not the first. I previously reviewed him in the early stage to help his new facility. I even liked him. watch out for this wolf in sheeps clothing. Do NOT review him until AFTER your therapy has been completed and you are well. Disgusted. and shocked because I really liked him. read more

I live in the Edgewater/Wynwood and found this to be the most convenient rehab center in our area. Fox Physical Therapy exceeded my expectations and I recommended them to anyone looking to treat an injury, pain, or rehabilitation. The Edgewater office is beautiful with lots of space and exercise equipment. My injury was a lingering wrist sprain and after an evaluation with Dr. Fox he recommended working out my whole arm and shoulder! The rehab experience was so excellent I decided to take additional sessions to work on my knees and hips. I was diagnosed with a degenerative disc condition in my spine and at 35 felt like I was a fragile elderly woman! I have been seeing Eric for Four weeks now and am stronger than I have been in my life! I lived with pain and have depended on medication to make it through. Short story: I severely dislocated my shoulder playing basketball. After filing with insurance and seeing a specialist, I was recommended to have surgery on my shoulder. The other option was physical therapy, and I decided to give it a shot. After 3 months of therapy I am stronger, more aligned, and smarter than I was prior to injuring my shoulder. I am already back playing basketball again. Eric is as good as it gets in terms of rehabbing, strength building and realigning injuries. He and Brett compliment each other perfectly, so you are in good hands if you get either. Small groups, on-hands therapy, and just good people to boot. You will get all the attention you need here, and more. Their physical therapy expertise, people skills, and results make you excited to go to physical therapy and develop your ailment. My shoulder specialist was in awe when he saw my recovery, as he suggested I needed surgery to ever play basketball again. When asked how I recovered so quickly, I told him exactly: "Fox Physical Therapy". I doubt I'd be where I am recovery-wise if it weren't for the great people at Fox. The therapist work with the latest techniques and apply different types of state of the art therapy to help my needs. I am very happy that I have discovered them. They are understanding and try to accommodate you being scheduling as well as working together in therapy. In the past, I have gone to a few other places and it's always been the same crowded, cookie cutter process but here, I get the time and special attention I need to hopefully reach all my goals. Dr. Fox took his time to evaluate my condition and started my rehab in a slow, yet aggressive manner. Each day he challenged me with new exercises, stretches, and weights. Throughout my workouts dr. I have never been to a physical therapy like this one. Dr. Fox, and Dr. Eric are hand down the nicest people I've ever met. Thier listening skills are 100%.
