I recently completed a tooth implant process that took several months (remove 40-year old crown, bone graft, wait for that to heal, implant post, wait for that to heal, implant!). The whole process was about as painless as it could possibly be. One of the things I like best about Elmbrook Family Dental is that they explain things clearly -- throughout the process Dr. Plecas explained each step, what the options were, what he thought the best option would be, and why. Knowing about the bone graft was especially important to me, and seeing what the part of the implant would be and how it all went together was cool. I was initially concerned because my son's wedding was coming up, and I didn't want to have a big hole in my mouth for pictures. Dr. Plecas discussed options with me -- the full process wouldn't be complete before the wedding. If I wanted, we could have gotten a temporary fake tooth there, but he thought I should wait and see how it looked. Once the tooth was removed I found that the space wasn't very noticeable at all. I'm very glad that I didn't spend the extra money on a temporary tooth! It feels like we know everyone there - we've been there for years, and at times we had six family members going. My older kids only stopped going there when they totally left the area; while they were in college out of state they still went to Elmbrook Family Dental, scheduling appointments around their breaks. One of the other things I like about Elmbrook Family Dental is that they keep up with processes, technology, and materials.

It's a hard sell for TMJ services with every appointment. Cost for TMJ services: Assessment $650 and treatment $5400-6500 (services weren't clarified) with payment required upfront. He says he uses a third-party to maximize insurance payout and after that is received, he would refund anything that insurance covers. When I asked what patients do when they can't afford this treatment, he became defensive and explained that he couldn't provide services for free (which I wouldn't expect). I found a local (TMJ & Orofacial Pain Treatment Center) doctor who is excellent, fitted me with a night guard for under $200, and that has very clear patient costs for services after insurance, and charges much less overall.

After the bridge fell out (without any use / food), they refused to return my calls and claimed they had told me it could only last one day. They are incompetent liars. They didn't offer any recourse and they told me I was no longer welcome to be a patient merely because I stood up for myself. They have no remorse. Gina Sanfilippo Monteagudo (the COO) even laughed on the phone and thought this was funny. Her husband Roberto Monteagudo owns both clinics. Unlike every clinic I've ever been to, they have you pay in full before anything is done.

It is absolutely astounding that - in July 2023 - a business could be as ridiculous as this. Everyone with a brain knows that COV is about the same as a cold, that *even according to the CDC* cloth masks due nothing to stop the spread of respiratory viruses, that *even according to the CDC* the "vaccines" do not stop transmission, and that, frankly, they are next to useless. That is part of why *according to the CDC* only 17% of Americans, as of this writing, are "fully-vaccinated" with the latest boosters. I had not seen a sign like this - mandating "masks" - *anywhere* in the area, even at my doctor's office (they were holdouts), for close to a year. Wisconsin Smiles, if you wish to be this uneducated, unscientific, and insulting to your customers, that's of course your right, but do be aware that it will cost you business. I was prepared to take my entire (large) family here, but I'll never be back.

It was painless, fast and conservative. It saved me hundreds, fixed the issue for under $50. His entire team is warm, professional and everyone there does quality work!

Parking near the office is limited and street only. The reception desk was full of people, but it's very slow to check in or get help. The staff seem friendly enough, but they are not super helpful in my experience. They seem overwhelmed by more than one person at a time in the little lobby. I received a very thorough new patient exam and too many x-rays for my liking, but the hygienist is definitely a professional and knows his stuff. I found the dentist I saw to be a little light on bedside manner, but I hear good things about the other. I'm going to stick it out, because overall the staff were friendly and seemed kind, but it was not a 5-star experience.

I had a specific appointment set and throughout the years they never made a mistake until this time. My card listed one date and time and just before that date/time I received a text from them confirming my appointment for a week later. At 66 years of age I thought, maybe I was confused; but I wasn't. When I called and asked why they moved my appointment out one week, they said they didn't. They threw the hygienist under the bus and then told me they'd understand if I wanted to find a new dentist. At first I said, of course not, let's keep the appointment. But then after speaking to my wife about this, we realized they didn't actually want our business and didn't care if they lost it. My wife and I are both in the service industry and we were flabbergasted by this attitude. Importantly, the person with whom I had this conversation identified herself as the office manager! I'm sure her supervisor is very proud of her. I cannot recommend this practice. By the way, I'm truly an easy going guy, that's why I initially agreed to keep the appointment after she suggested I take my business somewhere else. This was a little hurtful.

I've been very self conscious for the past 8 years of my life, as my previous crowns were terrible. I felt no pain during the procedure and I felt comfortable asking questions about what was going on. I can't say enough wonderful things about everyone at this practice. I went to their office with a dental emergency, they really do great work. I, however, have 2…read moremajor issues which is why I will not return. The first issue is with the dentist and his hygienist. I told them that I do have anxiety when going to the dentist. They put headset on me and the TV on above. Me asked me if that was okay and walked away. They assumed that I could not hear them as I had the headset on. I could hear them talking about me and it was not very nice. I will not go into the details, but I was not very happy to hear that and it made me very uncomfortable. So uncomfortable that I would not return to them. My second issue is that they billed me and then put me in collections before they'd even finish treatment on my issue. How can I pay for something that hasn't been finished yet? As I said, it has nothing to do with how the work went. It has to do with the office politics and them thinking people can't hear them in them talking about them. Very unprofessional, not at all like the rest of the office
