I went to Dr. Ramer for about 5 years while living in Milwaukee, and I had a great experience all 5…read moreyears. Prior to Dr. Ramer, I had just had a filling done in almost every back tooth at another office downtown (and I had not gotten a second opinion, unfortunately), and had pain in every tooth for months after. I went to an endodontist, who advised me that because I was young, I should just wait it out rather than jumping to get root canals. Then I went to Dr. Ramer, who advised me the same thing, and recommended that I get a night guard since I grind and clench my teeth at night, and it was likely irritating the new fillings. Game changer! The pain went away. He went out of his way to make the guard comfortable, and even fixed it rather than replacing it a few years later when I chewed right through it. The front desk staff were excellent-- super friendly, never had any billing issues, and the hygienists were great as well. But mostly, Dr. Ramer was a great, conservative dentist who did not jump to any unnecessary procedures, and preferred to put watches on teeth that looked questionable rather than jumping in to drill right away and damage more tooth structure. Now I'm trying to find a dentist with a similar background in Denver--not easy!

I've been going to this office for about 10 years, and I've never had a bad experience. From simple…read morecleanings to some extensive work I've had done, the staff is professional and worked with me on everything from treatment options to payment options. I've had no problems here. The doctors ensure that you understand the procedure before they do the work. They take the time to answer any questions. They also explain thoroughly the risks associated with any work. I've been lucky; I've never had any issues with their work. (I've even filled prescriptions for pain killers that I've never needed. But I understand my situation may be unique and not all patients will be so lucky.) And, the doctor's have personality. They joke and keep everything rather light-hearted, which can put people with dental anxieties at ease. But let's face it. If you don't take care of your teeth, you're likely to have a much more negative experience at any dentists office. Take care of your teeth, and it's likely you'll never have a bad experience at a dentist's office. Bottom line, it's a great place that is welcoming and willing to work with patients to make sure they are healthy.

He chipped his teeth and we struggled finding a provider at first due to his insurance plan he had while visiting America. I myself go to Lakeshore Family and only ever had good things to say! I was happy to know we could hear for his fix and really happy with the results! What a relief and so thankful for Lakeshore Family! Proud to be a returning client!

Stay far away from this practice!!! We started going here in early 2026 because I have a new…read moreinsurance company & my previous dentist was not in their network. The office and lobby *look* very nice. The receptionists that I have interacted with were mostly rude and unhelpful. This is the type of place that will find all possible ways to make money off you, whether it's necessary or not. The fake-nice Barbie doll dentist barely looked in my mouth during the "exam". My son who has only had a couple of fillings in 17 years, suddenly incurred 5 cavities since our last dental appointment 6 months ago??? Like a dummy, I went ahead and had the work done on 3 of his teeth. (I was charged $438 for 3 surfaces on cavities that were described as tiny. There was an issue with our insurance coverage, and I later found out they weren't covered. They quoted me around $120 copay which I paid at the time of service. Then several months later, we received a bill for over $1000. They did not even have the decency to mail me a bill. They emailed it to my minor child. What?!?! I called to request someone to review the situation & work with me, since I am a single mother and I cannot afford a dental bill like this. they mis-quoted me and their prices they charge are outrageous. I thought that they would try to work something out, based on the multiple errors made by their staff. No one called me back. I waited 10 days and called again. The woman who answered the phone, lied and told me that someone had already called me back. Nope! they did not. She also told me that they would not consider adjusting my bill at all. Horrible service!! Additionally, at my exam, the dentist had told me that I needed a crown and my co-pay would be over $1000. I had 2 crowns placed in the past two years (at another practice) each co-pay was $500-$600. That gives you an idea of how they will appoint the highest price materials and/or overcharge you. (I was never offered a less expensive type of crown when I balked at the price). I said I'm not going to do that right now, and they harassed me multiple times to make the appointment. I have since switched to a new Dentist. I made an appointment for them to quote me on the crown. Guess what, they told me that I do not need a crown on that tooth! However, I did have a cavity on another tooth, in which I had complained about sensitivity. There was clearly a cavity on the side of that tooth, which the LFD Dentist should have seen if she actually looked in my mouth. Nicole called me back. She was condescending and unapologetic and refused to even consider adjusting my bill. She did offer a 10% uninsured discount which brought the bill from $1100 to $1000. Really no help at all!!! This place is a total scam. I will be contacting the DSPS regarding my experience at this place!
