I was being treated by one of the doctors there when the prescription they gave me may be nauseated…read moreso she told me to stop taking it and come back into the office and see her. When I came into my next appointment, Dr. Riviera was there instead of the other doctor and she looked at me as if confused why I was there. She asked me what she could do for me. I was dumbfounded. Now they charge me $150 fee for I'm not sure, what five minutes of their time? I will never ever go back there again. Their office staff is immature and unprofessional. They gossip and make fun of the patients as they sit in the waiting room. They have absolutely no shame at all. Terrible experience overall.

This isn't the location I saw this practice at. I am not sure why she has several locations listed…read moreon Yelp. I, like many others, had an incredibly poor experience here. I have a severe autoimmune condition that really needs a physician's attention, but the staff said I could only see a PA. Ok, fine, at least I would be a patient at the practice and could maybe see the doctor next time. I saw the PA and it was a nightmare. She spent the entire appointment typing, didn't do any kind of exam (I was sitting in the chair next to her the whole time) and I don't think even looked up at me once. She then hastily told me she thought I had a disease that I do not have, ordered labs, and then never communicated the abnormalities to me when I returned for a follow up visit. She brushed off a few very obvious abnormalities and prescribed a strong medication for--again--a disease another actual physician rheumatologist confirmed I don't have, and was completely unaware that a previous infusion medication I had been given has ongoing effects on bloodwork. e.g., masking some results. So I don't know about the doctor here, but the PA I saw did not seem knowledgeable about rheumatology in the least. Maybe seeing Dr. Rivera is better, I am unsure since I never saw her. I asked the PA if she had reviewed my case with Dr. Rivera and she said yes, so I don't know if the whole practice is bad, or just the PA's. Also--the office is up a couple of flights of stairs, with no elevator. They don't mention that when you make an appointment. And that can be really hard for people with rheumatologic issues. So overall, they don't seem to provide solid care or diagnostic help.

First, I would like to say the reception front desk ladies are the kindest people. I have read some…read moreof these reviews and I just don't get it. I have been going to see Dr Shikhman for a year now and these ladies have wonderful customer service. Griselda is a gem! I have felt unwell for years and have always been told from my primary MD it is my age, weight, or diet. Dr Shikhman was thorough with my exam, ordered testing and gave me a DIAGNOSIS and a treatment plan that is helping me. It is not an overnight fix for me. Yes, you will be charged for a no-show visit. He is a busy man who books months out. Someone else would have gladly taken your spot! I am so thankful I have found him and his caring staff to help me through this.

I saw a couple of the last reviews for Dr. Weston and I couldn't disagree more...So let's talk…read moreabout it...This doctor was literally training another doctor on how to perform a sigmoidectomy (removal of the sigmoid colon) during my surgery...I found her level of communication to be exemplary...She was literally one of the most communicative doctors I have ever had...She did not mince words, she did not use flowery language, she did not berate me about the lifestyle choices I lived that brought me to needing to have a piece of my bowel removed...She got right to the point, told me exactly how everything was going to go, let me know the risks involved with my surgery, and then executed that surgery perfectly... She came in only once after my surgery to see how I was, but the nurses told me that they were constantly required to give her regular updates from my pain levels to how much urine I was putting out post-surgery...No, she wasn't holding my hand, because she literally does 5-10 of these surgeries per week, and you know what, that is exactly who you want operating on you...I don't need you to answer my emails or make sure you receptionist staff is polite...I need you to make sure that not only do I not die on your surgical table, but that I not need an ostomy for the rest of my life... I believe that Dr. Lynn Weston may have saved my life with the perfect surgery she performed on me back in 2018...She most certainly greatly improved my life as before the surgery I had taken antibiotics almost 40 times in the 5 years leading up to my surgery from diverticulitis... Whenever I hear from a friend or acquaintance or even a complete stranger who has any colorectal issues, I give them Dr. Weston's info...several have gotten surgery from her, and all have said the same thing...she is amazing... I'd rather have someone who knows what the heck they are doing, then someone who panders to my need for validation... Thank you Dr. Weston, you are amazing...

I was referred to her in fact by another surgeon so I guess that makes her a doctor's doctor. Dr. Benjamin and her assistant Michael have been MORE than helpful to me! After having a previous…read morepractice that was uncaring and couldn't diagnose my shingles, my family recommended Dr. Benjamin. In my entire life I've never met a more caring doctor! She has treated me like family. She's patient, thorough, extremely professional, and takes such good care of me! She really stressed that I should get a mammogram (I didn't want to), and they found cancer. It was caught EARLY thanks to Dr. Benjamin! The office staff is so kind, happy, helpful, and caring! Having a great doctor is important, but when you're in the middle of a major diagnosis you can't put a price on how valuable it is to have a doctor like Dr. Benjamin, Michael, and her staff to be there for you! They just jumped right in and made sure I was well taken care of! You're under the BEST care with Dr. Benjamin! I honestly don't know what I would do without her! (I certainly would have had less years on this earth with my family if not for her!) My family and everyone I know agrees that I am beyond fortunate to be under Dr. Benjamin's care! No matter what, I know that I'm getting the BEST possible care - and that is a peace that is PRICELESS!!! I have NO fears about my health knowing that Dr. Benjamin is my doctor! She's not just a fabulous doctor.... She saved my life!

After enduring several years of inferior care from my previous primary care physician (see my…read morerecent review of Dr. Barbara Denysiak), I had high standards for my new GP, and was not willing to settle again. I found Dr. Benjamin through calling the Sharp general number and told them what part of town I was in and that I wanted a new female GP, and lo and behold, an appointment was made for about a month away. While it was longer than I expected for an initial exam, I had nothing wrong and because this was a general-wellness visit, it was not a huge priority in scheduling. When I came in for that appointment I expected to fill out pages and pages of "getting to know you" medical forms and was only asked for my insurance card, so I assumed her front desk staff had made a huge mistake. When I did meet Dr. Benjamin, I was beyond impressed with her bedside manner, patience and professionalism. She took her time, explained that the reason she does not have me fill out paperwork is because that is her job and she proceeded to ask me the sorts of questions that are usually on those forms, but in a conversational manner that made me forget I was even talking to a doctor. As we talked she jotted down a few notes, then as she was explaining her philosophy of medical care to me, she sat down at the computer in the room and entered the stats she asked about previously. The entire process was quick and seamless, painless and appreciated on my part. She was not quick to diagnose or write me unneeded prescriptions and instead suggested we start at the core of my problems and work from there. What a concept! Each visit with Dr. Benjamin is quick and efficient and I appreciate that she values my time as much as she does her own. She never leaves me waiting, always asks how else she can help and continues to treat me like a human, not a number on a chart. She also referred me to Dr. Tarakjian, the greatest OB/GYN on the planet -- for which I am grateful. These are my first several experiences with Sharp Rees-Stealy and so far, I am impressed. Finally, doctors I can respect and recommend to everyone!
