They told us between 8 and 8:30 am and would work until the job was finished and they meant it. I honestly recommend these guys to anyone. Personable, kind, respectful, good pricing along with honest work. Besides, seeing them climb the tree to cut most of it without needing big machinery that could tear up a yard was amusing all together. They cleaned up debris and made sure nothing in the yard was damaged. Even let us know that one type of tree isn't safe to have as a garden mulch but can be for decorative (saved my plants!) And about a type of odd looking growth on some leaves (harmless tree fungus)

He came out the night before and gave my wife every indication that he planned to be here the next day to cut the tree down. Wednesday morning came and he never came. He never showed up nor did he call. He didn't have enough respect for me, as a customer, to call and tell me he couldn't handle the work. As a business owner I would never blowoff a customer. If he couldn't handle the job he should have been man enough to let me know.

PROs: (1) Colleen did an impressive job creating a 3D landscape design. We outlined our requirements in an email, which she captured perfectly in her 1st draft design. Then during a live Zoom call to review the design, she listened intently to our feedback and incorporated that into the final design. I would give Colleen a 5-star rating. (2) Earthscape subcontracted the landscape irrigation to Wolverine. Wolverine's quality of service was excellent in terms of proactive communication for scheduling and education in how to use the Rain Bird system. We would HIGHLY recommend Wolverine and give them 5 stars. (3) The sod and the maple tree in our front yard met our expectations. Looks beautiful! (4) The Earthscape crew is hardworking and the installation goes quickly when they are on site. CONs: (1) Poor follow-thru and lack of proactive communication about the sequence of events and the schedule. You will end up doing the follow-up feeling like you're pulling teeth to get an answer. (2) Unclear which subcontractors we were supposed to arrange, and which ones Earthscape will arrange. (a) Found out last-minute that we were to have contacted our own electrician to provide wiring for the irrigation system. This cost is extra beyond Earthscape's quote. And because this was not proactively communicated to us, resulted in a delay to the overall schedule. (b) Was given a direct invoice by Wolverine whose costs were supposed to be covered in Earthscape's quote. (3) The 3D landscape design shows fully mature plants and coverage. What you actually get is a seedling or sprout that will take years to mature. As novice homeowners, we wished this expectation had been explained up front, or given the option to plant more mature plants. (4) Other neighbors who had contracted different landscapers showed us diagrams and documentation they received about what plants were installed where and how to maintain them. We had not received anything like that, so we had to request it 3 times. Originally requested in July, after 2 more prompts, received it in late September.

He quickly returned my call and was up on the property within the week. He moved the 18 trees, filled in the holes left behind, and mulched and watered the newly placed trees. There were 3 trees around 5 feet tall, and the rest were 8 feet and higher to about 12 feet This was done in late July and it is now mid October and they are all doing well. The price was great, much much cheaper than going out and buying new large trees and having them planted. All in all, I was very satisfied and would go back to his company if I need to do so again in the future.

If not, call R&J Tree Service, their Quote was 1/3 of the cost, they were much quicker and so much cleaner than Urban Tree Service. For some background, I had a large tree I needed cut down and Urban Tree Service gave me a quote to break it up into two jobs. He asked I call him the next year to get it done but I held off and didn't call him back until the second year. During this two year period I really helped out his business that just started by getting him a bunch of referrals which he thanked me for. Initially he quoted me $1,500 for the second job but when he came this year he wouldn't honor the initial quote and increased his bid to $3,500! That's well over double what he had quoted me just a few years back. Called R&J and they cut it down today for $1,200. How quickly people forget who helped them out by the referrals when they needed them. Will never use or recommend Urban Tree Service again.

Bill did an excellent job cleaning up our overgrown trees and even took off some branches of a forth tree as far up as second story window to ensure it would no longer scrape against the roof and building until we decide to have that one worked on. They stayed completely to the price quoted two weeks earlier and it was a very reasonable price compared to other professional tree services. He also let me know that for the next trees we were looking to have done in the future what the quote was per tree and that it would be good through fall. I also felt that this was completely reasonable since the market fluctuates year to year and wouldn't expect a quoted price to be the same a year later. I appreciated his being up front with his pricing and this was also something I was told by all the other companies I received other quotes from earlier. I will definitely be using them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking to have trees trimmed, cut down or for stump removal.
