Beautiful surroundings, great food, and a sparkling pool! Location and Parking Located in Douglasville, the property is expansive and is out in the country! Be prepared for spotty cell service as you travel miles off the main road into a tranquil escape. There is free parking directly in front of the clubhouse, where you will check in to enjoy your day. Venue and Atmosphere The clubhouse is recently renovated, bright, well appointed, and clean. We visited the pool and restaurant via a day pass. The pool area features lockers and showers, and they even have pool floaties that you can borrow, free of charge. The pool is large, with plenty of room for multiple groups to be inside and not bumping into anyone. There is a hot tub and adults only pool as well, however when we visited the adult pool was closed. Service Service was prompt, courteous, and efficient. Our waitress and bartender were great. They were professional and the drinks were amazing! Food and Beverages We ordered a buffalo chicken wrap, hamburger, and many more margaritas than I'd like to admit (it's 5 o'clock somewhere right?). Everything was delicious, served hot, and the drinks were flavorful yet strong enough. Nothing on the lunch menu was too heavy, which was perfect because I like to digest my meal while relaxing in the pool. Verdict I'll definitely visit again. Came here this week for me and my boyfriend's 1 year anniversary and we had a wonderful time! The room was right by the water, it was clean, the scenery was amazing, it was not crowded, it was quiet, we saw plenty of deer on the daily and the customer service was great. We wanted to book an ATV ride but they were having maintenance being done, but so that we weren't bummed too much the receptionist let us choose a different activity and gave us late checkout.There are so many ponds to fish in, as well as places for great pics. Definitely will come back! Only things i'd add would be a microwave in the room, clearer signage for where your room is along the walkway, and also more lights along the sidewalk to your room at night. We recently hosted a wedding weekend with more than 200 guests, including the rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception, and lodging. Overall, the wedding itself was beautiful and our guests had a wonderful time, but that success came largely despite the resort management, not because of it. The positives first: the property is beautiful, especially the outdoor setting, and there are many activities for guests to enjoy. The servers, bartenders, and onsite staff members we interacted with during the event were friendly, accommodating, and genuinely pleasant to work with (kudos to Guido, Chey, and others). The actual ceremony, dinner, and reception all went smoothly thanks to our non-affiliated wedding planner and a lot of behind-the-scenes effort. Unfortunately, the management and planning experience was frustrating throughout the entire process. Over the 7 months leading up to the wedding, our primary contact changed six different times due to turnover. Communication was inconsistent and often extremely slow. For long stretches, we had to leave messages through the front desk and wait days for responses. The General Manager, Natasha, was difficult to reach and never proactive. Even during the wedding weekend itself, she was not present to meet with us in person. Several promised items either never happened or required repeated follow-up from us. A menu tasting that was promised was never scheduled. Assistance with reserving nearby hotel room blocks never materialized. Charges for the bridal suite appeared twice after we had already been told they were included and removed. Multiple guests reported unexpected charges added to their bills that they had to dispute. We were surprised by a mandatory $25/night "resort fee" that was not clearly disclosed until shortly before the event. The property appears more polished from a distance than it does up close. Guests commented on stained furniture and walls, broken bathroom fixtures, squeaky doors, and general lack of maintenance and upkeep. The food was acceptable, but not at the level we expected considering the overall price point. Food options were initially quite limited until we pushed hard for more flexibility and guest choice. In reading other reviews, we realized many of our experiences were not isolated. In the end, our guests enjoyed themselves and the wedding weekend was memorable, but it required a tremendous amount of extra effort from our side to compensate for poor communication, lack of organization, and weak management oversight. Foxhall has the potential to be an outstanding wedding venue because the setting is beautiful, but the operational side needs significant improvement. read more

We stayed a few nights. At check in the front desk attendant showed us the map of the resort and all the amenities. After telling us everything she mentioned that we actually wouldn't be able to do most of the outdoor activities because a film crew is on the property and those areas are off limits (like SERIOUSLY?!) We were surprised no one warned us about this prior, they knew we were coming for a few weeks. We would have moved our reservation to a different weekend. The manager directed us to a small near by town to "go explore" for the day. We were sooo disappointed. We came to explore your "resort" not a near by town... Food was good but the service was terrible. Most of the time we were the only people at the restaurant and the staff could not care less. Drinks served were smaller than a corporate cocktail hour, in small plastic event cup. Bartender couldn't make a simple soda and vodka properly. We were just looking at each other and shaking our heads. This place has so much potential, it's poorly run and I wouldn't come back for a getaway. This might only be a venue for a large event but after our experience I'm not sure I would recommend it to my clients. P. S. Manager said she would adjust our rate for the weekend and that never happened. No one checked to see how our experience went after the visit. Do not recommend. Pros: *Easy online reservations for room bookings and activities. *Beautiful lush grounds with trees to give a secluded getaway feel. *Very friendly staff. You get to know the staff well as the same worked the 3 days of my visit. *Renovated and clean rooms, with one bedroom as well as villa offerings. Spacious rooms with full living and kitchen spaces in the villas and a refrigerator and coffee nook in the one bedroom. Nice and spacious bathroom with full tub (to fit adults) and large shower with double vanity. Rooms have screened balcony, covered balcony, or front porch seating based on room. *Restaurant is in walking distance from rooms. Server Kim was outstanding! *Has a bar in clubhouse for cocktails. *Fun outdoor activities with ATV, Clay shooting, kayak, fishing, games. Jesse is amazing and fun and knows her stuff so book with her if you can! The ATV ride is fun and a true hour ride! *Did not go for a wedding but saw the venues and they are beautiful and one has amazing views. Plenty of wedding photo ops places onsite and places for guests to lodge. Not so Pro: *One restaurant that offers a special on typically Friday and limited Brunch on Sunday so the menu remains the same so something to consider if staying multiple days. Food comes fast and hot. Not the taste of a culinary chef but also not bad. *Hot water drained very slow, almost to a drip, and takes quite a while to get hot. *No room service but you can call up front (by your cell) or stop by for anything needed. *For those that go in extreme cold temperatures and are cold natured, take a blanket and layers as there is a limit as to how high you can turn up the thermostat. read more

Soooooo this location was picked for our annual siblings gathering. It's deep in the woods, and we had no cell service. The place was not cleaned! It had dust everywhere, and the sheets did not look clean. We did our own cleaning! There were dead mice!! The lighting outside the house wasn't good. It was very dark!! The rooms were a nice size and can fit a large group. Overall, we were so disappointed that we packed up and left. I hope your experience will be better. read more

I wish I could have given 3.5 stars to rate my recent visit to Foxhall Resort. Four stars would have been too many for me. Two of us arrived on a Wednesday evening at the end of May. Our room was on the lower level, #314, and quite costly at $169/ night ÷ a $20 resort fee. The hotel buildings overlook a huge pond surrounded by tall trees. Our villa has a screened porch which is good for taking in the quiet and peacefulness of lake. Most of the compound is incomplete. The clubhouse is finished along with the dining room (serving lunch and dinner) and there is a full service bar that is open til 10pm. Sports courts are in place as well as infinity pool. Lots of dirt moved around the front of the property in preparation for future development. Our room, although it is almost brand new, it is very spartan and sparse. Utilitarian comes to mind. Almost everything is white (bed coverings, upholstered headboards, bathroom cabinets, the shower tiles, and all walls are painted white. I feel like I need to see color on the walls, a calming and soothing color. Beds are comfortable. The bathroom has a huge room of its own with an oversized walk-in shower, large open-air closet, and double sinks at vanity. There are coffee supplies are in the room. Iron and full-size ironing board in room. Desk and small round table with two chairs for working, or perhaps eating in your room. I'm not getting a homey feeling here. We just hosted a corporate event at Foxhall for myself and 24 other associates. I was the on-site contact for my company, there to ensure that everything was perfect. It was! Let's start with the meeting space and meals. The Ballroom and Overlook room were perfect for our all day meetings. Comfortable, clean and the views were amazing. Beth and the catering team were always on the ball, making sure that everyone had exactly what they needed at all times. She and the others did a phenomenal job! The guest rooms were beautiful. Also very clean, spacious and homey. Peaceful and serene, which is just what you hope for in a location like this. The on-site experiences were all so much fun. Our group did kayaking, fishing, shooting and ATV/UTV rides. While the shooting was a blast (pun intended), I can't say enough about the UTV's. I haven't smiled and laughed so hard in a very long time. The guide was really nice and kept a good pace. Highly recommended! Lastly, I can't thank Brad West, the Conference Services Manager,  enough for the fabulous job that he did ensuring that everything was smooth and seamless, from the time we arrived until well after we departed. He messaged me several times throughout the day to ask if I needed anything for the group and to make sure that we were being well taken care of. Even on his day off, he still checked in. That to me was priceless at a time when I needed to make sure that our staff was well taken care of while on this Leadership Retreat. I look forward to working with Brad again in the future. I can't recommend Foxhall enough for any occasion, be it a corporate event or just a family vacation. read more

This is not a 5-star resort. It is on very beautiful land, and the houses are very nice; However it is poorly managed. The staff has mainly young people many of whom are quite nice, but they can only do as well as the management they are given. The communication/coordination is poor. They will send a cursory text message pretending to care about your stay, but if you actually ask for something you will not get a response. The food is a 6-7 on the scale. I would expect a place in GA to have more healthy, delicious food. These seem like mass-produced food items from a generic catering company. Another thing to note is no water given to you - in a 5-star resort? Oh and bar in the main lobby closes at 10pm. Good luck if you have a company social or even just want to socialize personally. Foxhall Resort literally made my 38th Birthday the best one I've ever had. The resort is absolutely gorgeous from the time pull in you are completely transformed to another place. The staff is by far the best staff I've ever encountered. Jasmine is who I originally worked with on the planning of birthday activities she was on top of it every step of the way. Lay Lay was a huge help as well. Upon my arrival I met the amazing Nikki who went above and beyond to make sure my girls & I had everything we needed. She is truly a gem her customer service is unmatched. Kim was nice and kept things nice and cool for us. The bar tenders was top notch! Mari, Joei those two are total rock stars! Now let's talk about Jonathan who took us on the ride of our lives on ATV's it's a must you go. He was so professional and gave us the thrill we needed. Then Brad came out for the golf cart scavenger hunt and he was a complete vibe he knows that resort like the back of his hand. Let's get into the food Chef Marco OMG his food makes you want to bite off your hand. Our waitresses Camille and Kensey delivered exceptional customer service and gave us an incredible dining experience. Along side Joie and Mari again on the drinks. This property is beautiful. It's a little on the pricey side but if you enjoy the outdoors there is plenty to see. I was disappointed that we were unaware that the extra amenities needed to be booked in advance and they were booked for the extras. So make sure to book those in advance. The staff were all so very friendly and accommodating from the restaurants to the concierge. We did have a small issue but Alysha ( sorry not sure how to spell your name) was so very helpful in resolving our mishap. read more

We decided to plan our wedding within 2 months. Very short notice. Our wedding was planned for NYE 2023!! Yes, just a couple nights ago!!! We looked at many different venues and kept coming back to FoxHall! Gorgeous Venue! Impeccable Ambiance Id like to shout out Jasmin with no E (since there are 2), Amanda, Dona and Nikki. These 4 were our Power Team!! They absolutely made sure this couple were a happy Bride and Groom!! They went above and beyond for us!! We couldn't have been happier!! The grounds and appearance of facilities is lovely. Unfortunately, the infrastructure is severely lacking. Many management changes in the past year along with attempts at rapid growth leave me wondering if they will be able to successfully maintain this property much longer. Specifics: We had a few rooms, villas, and the large lodge reserved for a wedding. 1. Guests in the rooms did not have hot water for showers because the resort was fully booked and the hot water heaters did not have capacity to provide hot water to all rooms at the same time. 2. Guests in villas did not have coffee cups, drinking glasses, etc and the coffee makers had the wrong type of coffee for the makers (brew bags for pod makers). Housekeeping was contacted through the front desk but no one ever brought the requested items. 3. I was told we would have early checkin or late check out for dates in which guests were changing rooms within the resort. But that promise was not honored. 4. when I called to confirm all payments were received a month prior to the stay, they could not even find the block of rooms we reserved. I could share many more examples but I don't want to spend another minute thinking about my disappointment for what I had expected (especially for the price) to be a wonderful experience. read more

We stopped in on a Thursday evening. There were no other customers but few came in before we left. When asked if they had hired a chef, we were told one would be coming in a couple of weeks. We really hope they get one soon. We ordered steak and mashed potatoes; cheeseburger and sweet potato fries; and chicken tenders and mashed potatoes. I sent the bagged tenders back and asked for hand breaded as I've had before. I also didn't care for the mashed potatoes so replaced them with fries. My husband's sweet potato fries were hard and cold so they also went back and were replaced with fries. My daughter enjoyed her steak and my husband always enjoys the burger. He says it's a safe bet here. By the time, my hand breaded tenders came the restaurant was closing so I took them to go. They were swimming in oil so I didn't eat them later. The servers are always welcoming and prompt. It's really casual and family oriented but I have seen some dressed up for romantic date nights. The views are beautiful from the patio. read more

I had the opportunity to dine in at Pheasant Blue on Valentine's day. They were offering a special Valentine's day menu which included your choice of salad, entree, and dessert. They also had a specialty cocktail menu with valentine inspired drinks. The restaurant was fairly empty this night which was a plus in my opinion. There were both classical and jazz music playing to enhance the mood as well as candles on each table but unfortunately the overhead lights were on full bright the entire night which took away from the romantic feel of the evening. Our waitress Christina was awesome from beginning to end giving her opinion on food and drink selections when she could. I ordered a cocktail from the specialty menu, a strawberry Moscow mule ($12). Vodka, ginger beer, lime juice, garnished with lime, strawberries, rosemary, and candy hearts. This Moscow mule tasted like no other I've ever had, and not in a good way. It tasted like watered down club soda with a hint of strawberry. After 2 sips I decided to trade it for a different cocktail. I decided on the dark chocolate old fashioned this time. Orange slice, cherry, bourbon, simple syrup, and chocolate bitters. Unfortunately this cocktail missed the mark as well. It tasted like a straight shot of bourbon, nothing else. It was way too strong. At this point I gave up on the cocktails. Our salads came out next, a Caesar salad ($10) and house salad ($10). For our entrees we ordered the deep fried quail with mashed sweet potatoes, orange sauce, peppers, and baby carrots ($25) as well as the filet mignon with mashed potatoes, asparagus, baby carrots, carmelized pearl onions, and red wine sauce ($35). I was later informed that they ran out of filet mignon so I had to substitute for ribeye which was a disappointment. The food came about 25 minutes later, mine first and my husband's about 10 minutes later. My food was room temperature. The taste was good but nothing memorable. Same with the deep fried quail. The bread and butter bowl, which was supposed to come out first was placed on the table midway through the entrees. Attend a family wedding on the 4th of July weekend and had stayed three day's two nights. The resort grounds and views are perfect. And that's it !! The rooms are clean and some have wonderful views of the lake. And that's it !! Guest services failed this resort wants to charge the prices of real resorts , every time you try to book one of the many activities, from ATV riding ? Can't today , skeet shooting ? No ! the guns are broken. No communications and it seamed the same four people worked every day,with the same response "I don't know! By Saturday the garbage cans were not emptied, the only working bass boat was filled with trash and beer can. Not once did we see any type of manager walking around and checking? This resort has many great qualities and far as views but that's it. The wedding venue was sub par poorly ran . outside off site catering ok that's it. Bar also out sourced and a nightmare. @ 9:45 pm the venue staff who were not visible all night now began turning the lights on and off like last call @ a bar. Apparently it's impossible to get any information on the corporate office in order to speak with someone on the disappointment in your stay .once you pay your over price bill. Several people that had attended the wedding have stated no one from the resort has contacted them back and she had left at least 8 to 10 messages for the manager to no prevail. Foxhall Resort is 1100 acres of beautiful country side with several activities you can do. We arrived on Friday about 3:40 and was allowed to check in but not receive our key to the villa. They said they couldn't provide that until 4 pm at checkin time. So we sat in the car and waited that 20 minutes and then was able to get the key. The front desk staff was not what we expected for such a lovely resort. The lady that appeared to be the manager was not very friendly and in fact so what snappy... I was able to set up activities prior to our arrival. We were just a couple and didn't need a 2 bedroom villa but it was nice and thought nothing of it. Until we received a text saying we needed to pay the resort fee. Which was $20 per day per bed. So we had to pay for beds we didn't need or request. The next surprise we had was with the market. They advertise hours of like 8 am until 10 pm. But then learned the food was only from 8 to 3 pm and then that the food was very limited and not what was advertised on their website. It was very limited! We did eat something at the market and it was so so the following day , the service and food at the Pheasant Blue was below average from what we expected. I will leave reviews in them for specifics. The beauty of the resort and the land helped our stay and why I am leaving a 4 star review. This is a wonderful resort with amazing views all around! Pros: If you love the outdoors, there are many activities available such as fishing, kayaking, hunting, etc. Villas are SUPER nice, we stayed in a 2 bedroom villa and truly enjoyed our time there. The villas have a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge, stove, oven, toasted, coffee maker and all sorts of pots/pans, etc. There is a small living room and dining room with a balcony overlooking the lake and both bedrooms upstairs have balconies as well (one overlooking the lake and one overlooking the front of the building). Each room has a full bathroom and there is a powder room downstairs. WiFi is available. Staff is very friendly and helpful! Amber, Chelsea, Gail and Ashton were great during our stay! (Thank you!) Cons: Location is VERY remote. (This is a pro and con! It's great to get away but not so great to find other things to do). Resort is about an hour outside of Atlanta. Restaurant is closed Sunday afternoon, Monday and Tuesday. Not too bad if you're staying in a villa and come prepared but if you are not prepared, be ready to go into town for food/drinks. No room service available :( Overall a great place to get away! And will definitely be back. read more

PLANNING AN EVENT OR A WEDDING? AVOID FOXHALL AT ALL COSTS!!! This has been one of the worst customer service experiences of my life and I have never felt so disrespected. Wedding planning is stressful enough as it is - don't make the same mistake my fiancé and I did by letting Foxhall add to it. We visited Foxhall during their wedding open house on Sunday, 5/19/24. We were looking for a space to have welcome drinks, a rehearsal dinner, and a room block for our guests, as our wedding venue was just down the road. Foxhall seemed like the perfect option. Everything was great at first. The property is beautiful and the rooms were super nice and they treated us really well at the open house. They told us at the open house that we could reserve as many rooms for our guests in a room block as we wanted - as long as we were having an event there. We would just have to let them know 90 days before our event which rooms we wanted to drop from the room block and any rooms we didn't drop we would be financially responsible for. This sounded good to us, so after reviewing everything with our wedding planner, we let them know we were ready to proceed in an email on 5/23/24. They immediately get back to us with an agreement and did confirm in the email "We do have an attrition clause, however you have 90 days prior to guests arrival to release the unreserved lodging back into Open Inventory without penalty". Our wedding planner goes back and forth with them on some other things in the agreement and on 6/19/24 we are ready to proceed. When they send the official contract for signature on 7/6/24, it is completely different than what we were originally promised. There is now an attrition clause that says we are financially responsible for any rooms we do not book - there is no option to release rooms without penalty. We discuss with our wedding planner and she is confused as well - this has never been their policy and she has planned multiple weddings and events with them. She reaches out and hears back - they have suddenly changed their policy and they are not going to honor their original commitment. We are disappointed that they are not honoring their word, but we have already invested so much time in the process - tons of emails back and forth for months, multiple site visits, and even having my mom make a special trip from Savannah to visit the space. After even more back and forth, we email them on 7/28/24 to let them know that we would like to proceed and we edit the room block to be a lot more conservative, since we are now financially responsible for any rooms that aren't booked. They reply back later that day and say they will send over the revised agreement. We hear back on 7/30/24 that they are waiting on the regional sales director for approval. We then receive a phone call that they are not comfortable with how many rooms we are reserving - they don't think we will use them all. We are super confused, as our room block is super conservative and we are also now financially responsible if the rooms aren't used up, so we aren't sure what the problem is. There is no financial risk to Foxhall. We hang up the phone and they say they will need to discuss more internally and get back to us. After following up with them over and over again via email and phone with no reply, they finally got back to us on 8/12/24, and told us they are not comfortable letting us reserve all of the rooms we requested - they want to remove some of them from our block. There is no reason provided. We even offered to pay for the rooms up front and they still said no. At this point, we no longer feel comfortable doing business with Foxhall. We have no idea why we are being treated this way and we feel so unwelcomed. They have been extremely disrespectful to our time, with nearly 4 months wasted on this process. PLEASE do not make the same mistakes as we did. This has been a major headache for us and for our wedding planner - we will be steering our friends away from them and I'm sure she will not be recommending them to any future clients. read more

I am very disappointed with how they handled my ATV reservations. We went online and reserved time to ride ATVs today for my birthday. We arrived at the resort on time. We sat for over 40 minutes for instructions on the next steps and received information from the manager that they had to cancel our ride due to staffing. They stated they would refund our payment and allow us to reschedule. My issue is that we blocked this day for riding and they are not willing to compensate us for our time. We drove over an hour to this resort and the GM seems not to care. He will not even discount our next visit. This is very poor customer service to me. read more

We stayed for a weekend at the beginning of Oct. 2022 and I think our stay was alright. Some good things. Some bad things. It kind of all evened out. We checked in on a Thursday evening and left Sunday morning and travelled with our two young children, ages 4 and 18 months. When we arrived there was nobody at the desk but there was a sign that she would be right back. It was about 7pm and we saw people we knew in the dining room so we chatted for a bit before coming back to check in when she returned. I will say this right away: Not a kid friendly establishment. It's not that they are anti-children, but they definitely don't have anything to help a stay with kids pleasant. A big disappointment is that they do not have travel cribs available for children. We were in a two bedroom townhouse style unit so my husband and I each slept with one of the kids and pushed the beds into the corner so neither child would fall out in the night (the beds are pretty tall, at least in our unit). Our unit had a very pretty lake view. Our balcony only had one chair, though and I noticed that all the others had at least two on the front and back balconies. Something else I found strange was that there were only 3 mugs in the cupboard, which is odd for a 2-bedroom villa that you would assume sleeps at least 4. There was a full kitchen so doing dishes was thankfully an option but if there were more than the two of us adults that wanted a warm beverage somebody would have had to drink out of a regular cup I guess. I will say the most negative thing about our unit was that the bathroom drawers in one room were stuffed with dirty towels, wash cloths and floor mats. I actually don't often use hotel drawers to put my stuff into because I tend to forget it there when I leave but we were there for a wedding and I had extra things to put away so I opened the drawers to unpack and was met with a gross surprise of dirty washcloths, floor mat and towels. (we also later found more in the washing machine when we went to do a load of laundry). When I went down to the check in desk to ask if somebody could come take them if I put them by the front door the girl acted very confused and at first thought they were my dirty towels and I needed more. It took a lot of extra explaining to finally get her to understand they were left by previous guests and I didn't really want them in my room. Unfortunately, the cleaning service isn't in house. I think they are contract workers that come once a day so having things fixed or replenished isn't that easy (there were a few people also staying for the wedding that had an issue that couldn't easily be fixed because cleaning staff wasn't on site). The second negative thing about the room were the cockroaches. I live in the pacific northwest and while we do have cockroaches they are very small. These ones were impressive in size and creeped me out. It's not super fun to open your suitcase to get jammies and out pops a giant roach. Ick. Flying Fox Market is adjacent to the lobby and has snacks, a coffee bar, etc and the hours say 7am - 11pm, but on our arrival on a Thursday evening at about 7 pm it was empty and dark and did not appear open. It also seemed to open at varying times in the morning as well. Pheasant blue restaurant. Only one server on the evening we arrived and even though only one party was eating (people we knew) the server never came by in the almost hour we were around to try and order food - even take out. She came by around 10 minutes to 9pm, when they close, and said no we can't order anything. (Which I understand because it was so close to closing time, but we would have ordered an hour earlier if we could have found her). The food was decent, though, when we were able to dine there. We did lunch one day and they were able to do a plain grilled chicken breast for a sort of deconstructed "burger" that was gluten and dairy free to accommodate my allergies. Their kids menu is a little disappointing as it is a lot of fried food which we didn't love giving the kids so often. When we did sit down for dinner the next night the food was good. The service was still very slow, and it was a very full dining room, but I know the short staffed servers did their best. Everybody was very pleasant and friendly and helpful trying to accommodate to our allergies. They boast a lot to do outdoors on site of the property but none of them are kid friendly, aside from the kayaks. We had a hard time finding them at first as it's quite a walk from the hotel itself but the walk is pretty and the lake they are at is really pretty so we had fun doing that. The kayaks are not supervised. It's a help-yourself-situation. They had life vests but they were all very moldy and gross looking so we opted to pass on those. The trails around the property were also lovely. The tennis court is huge and has pickleball as well. All in all, just an ok stay. read more

This resort was amazing for activities and would have gotten 5 stars but the rooms were $400 dollars and dirty. Found candy wrappers, broken chips, mud, dog hair all over, and fire detector was disassembled and laying on counter. The resort itself was amazing! We kayaked, swam, hiked, and just lounged around, was great to get away so close to Atlanta. Another big downer though was the restaurant was closed due to covid, which is understandable, but their website said nothing of this and it was the wife's bday and there was zero food at all on site. We had to travel 30 minutes to get food, when one of the reasons we selected this site was it had a restaurant. read more

Family vacation for a week. We did the horseback riding, atv's, skeet shooting and just hanging out at this beautiful resort. Hung out at the fire pit at night smoking a cigar and making s'mores with the family and friends. Had a great time . Highly recommend this place for a relaxing getaway with family and friends. read more

I came to this location for a wedding. My family and I stayed in the villas so we wouldn't have to drive to the wedding on the day of. The location is great and the aesthetic is appealing in photos. There are a couple of things that are of concern or things to make it better. To note this is not a hotel that provides room service or cleaning services on the daily. We came on a Wednesday the dinning services were terrible they only offered 3 meal choices that were overpriced with 10% gratuity. There was no breakfast in the morning so my family of 8 had to get up every morning and drive for food my suggestion would be purchase food before staying here. Also the wifi did not work the entire stay it only worked on the last day we stayed. Kids these days need wifi and the tv kept going out.There were stray cats everywhere maybe a cat had a litter somewhere? I would also like to add the room was not the cleanest as far as the floors simply vacuuming would help. There was hair all over the floors and bird poop on the balconies so we didn't even use it. Do not bring your fancy car here for a wedding there are dirt roads with rocks leading to the venues. Overall the seclusion makes you feel like your at a cabin in the woods which I enjoyed. Took my family here for an off road ATV experience!!! Had a blast! It was an hour long 100 acre off road RAZR/ATV adventure. At first we thought we needed two hours.. one hour is enough for a fun experience. The landscaping and scenery is beautiful seems like a great place to get away for the weekend. Employees are nice facility is clean. Looking forward to coming back. Great place for off roading. read more

The resort is in the country and the property is absolutely gorgeous! I attended a large event. I would loved to have stayed because you feel like it is a get-away. My only criticism is the the one-lane gravel roads and having to park on grass. Tough on expensive cars if they are not four wheel drives...fortunately it wasn't wet and muddy in the parking area. The dust from the gravel was everywhere inside and outside of the car. The single lanes which curve up and down and all around are no fun when the signage wasn't great for the different venues. Pheasant Blue restaurant. Meh. Used to LOVE their other space, The Paddock, but PB's venue can't compare to the former beautiful space. The Paddock had big, gorgeous views of the whole place and you could sit outside under the trees with your dog in peace. The Pheasant Blue has a pretty good menus and good food, but all the charm of a Holiday Inn conference room. SO dull. It is depressing to eat there even though the service is fine and the food is pretty good. I don't want to look out over a noisy pool either. Bring back the Paddock space!!!!!! read more

An absolute disgrace. Where to begin? Exorbitant prices on everything, lodging/restaurant/activities. The clubhouse restaurant adds a 20% gratuity to your bill, as you are assured such slow, poor service that I'm sure customers quit tipping on principle. The sporting clays course and trap area are nice, but at 2x or 3x the cost of other comparable courses near atl, it's not worth it. The rental guns are rusty and broken, and 3 out of the 15 shooting stations were malfunctioning. Everything in the resort is out of service, broken or poorly maintained. There is no civilization anywhere nearby, so I feel bad for anyone that doesn't bring their own food or drink. You will then be at the mercy of the resort. There are no refrigerators in the rooms, or microwaves or even a toaster. Overflowing trash cans, feral cats, septic and plumbing problems, electrical and televisions not working. There are no paved roads or streetlights (Except near the clubhouse). The whole experience is more like a third world country than the luxury resort foxhall pretends to be. If you decide to stay here, pay with a credit card in case you have to dispute charges. Dealing with the staff (aforementioned fraudulent credit card charges) here has been the worst interaction I've ever had with a business. Everyone here seems overwhelmed, flustered and very unprofessional. I've stayed at probably 100 hotels for both business and pleasure, and have never seen a bigger failure than foxhall. read more

Over priced. Poorly staffed. For $200.00+ per night they should provide daily room service - which they did not on my recent stay. For breakfast they offered a Belgium waffle which I ordered with sausage links. Waffle that was served appeared to be a "put-in-toaster" mass produced product and the sausages appeared to be those from the frozen food freezer of a local supermarket. All for about $18.00+/-. Better & cheaper at Waffle House. The coffee was very weak similar to tinted water. The view of the property is spectacular...horse pastures, stone lodge, lake - beautiful. But should you look closely you will note that the outdoor wood work needs to be sanded and painted. In my lakefront room the plaster was pealing from the walls and the bathroom electrical outlet did not provide power. read more

Although it was very pretty, I cannot give it more than 3 stars. We stayed for 3 nights for a wedding. The condo was large and very nice. But it has NO STOVE, NO TOSTER, NO KITCHEN SUPPLIES! Not even a sharp Knife to cut vegetables!!! It's a big beautiful kitchen with only a fridge and microwave. We were forced to got to the restaurant but nope... not open for breakfast during the week! So we wait until 1130 for lunch. Your choices were a burger or BLT. Our guests were vegetarian. This place is way to far away from civilization to drive to a restaurant outside the resort. Make sure you are prepared for this issue! The venue itself was nice. The food at the wedding was good. We did drive in circles a couple of times because signage around the grounds is very poor. Unfortunately our room was not ready at check in. Moreover the place looked like there had been some kind of celebration the night before and since they are short staffed, did not clean up thoroughly. So garbage overflowing. When I inquired about activities many were not available. Seemed to have children running around unattended. The breakfast waffles were from a freezer and room temperature. Be sure to check your receipt because 20% gratuity is automatically added. I had hoped for a more relaxing stay but the walls are paper thin so there were constant noise and rumblings. Amazing place! I went for a friends wedding this weekend. Beautiful place all over! Great service. Food was very good although portions were a little small. Bartenders were great and did a great job with the 200 drinkers there! I have only been there for a wedding. Don't know the cost but I would recommend it! read more

I would NOT book a wedding at Foxhall Resort for any reason. The beauty of the landscape is undeniable but the quality of service is nonexistent - literally. In the seven months of planning prior to my wedding, Foxhall churned through SIX catering managers. There was NO consistent contact from the resort. Thankfully I hired my own event planner, but the stress led up to the very day of the event with the sixth manager quitting the week before. They operate in total dysfunction with an extremely poor level of management, service, quality of food, and disrepair of the venues. Do not be lured in by the beauty of the property. Why must you be so far away? Seems like Verizon and T-Mobile didn't work out here but for my manager who has AT&T, it worked for her. This place is GORGEOUS!!! I love that there were guided signs directing me to where the location is for our team outing. I came here for a team outing with my job. I had a choice to either do clay shooting or ride the ATV. I wanted to do both but I had to choose and chose the ATVs. Since there could be no more than 6 people riding the ATV, I was in the second group waiting. The rest of the teammates and I waited in the beautiful canopy by the volleyball and outdoor fireplace. This place is is just too beautiful. I can see a family reunion here. When it was our turn to ride the ATV, I was excited since I've never done it before. I suck, haha. I have to practice on my turn. The instructor was patient and great. I was driving Miss Daisy while everyone was going Fast and the Furious at the end when we free style. We walked back to the area to have lunch. There is an open bar for the drinkers and lots of cold water for the non alcoholics. There was corn hole next door so we played it to kill time. We walked to the kayak area and next to it, besides the lake was an archery place. It was such a wonderful time. There were booklets of the resort in detail.
