I would recommend these apartments to young couples, small families and even older people. There is definitely a wide ranges of types of tenants. We have had no problems with other tenants and everyone we talk to is very nice. Upon move in the apartments are freshly painted, carpets cleaned and pretty much spotless. There is tons of closet space. Our two bedroom apartment has 6 closets! Now, this isn't the fanciest place ever. But, I would say it is by far worth the money. The bathroom could use an update and the wallpaper in the hallway isn't gorgeous but, at the end of the day, the apartment is clean, the supplied appliances are functional and it is a pleasant place to live. The super lives on site and is very helpful and friendly. We have had a few repairs done to the apartment and the management company and super have been very responsive and have done the repairs in a timely matter. No noise complaints really. Pretty much can't hear other tenants except sometimes the ones above us walking around but that is expected living in an apartment complex. Noise like music and tvs and stuff we rarely hear if ever. Also love that they have been continuing to update the buildings. The elevator was recently updated, new carpets are being installed in the hallways now and recently got surveillance cameras and a Luxor box put in. In response to the other review, the rent has not 'soared". Yes, it has increased every year but again that should be expected. Last year for us it went up 5$ per month. I think in the 6 almost 7 years we have been living there the rent has gone maybe 5$ or so each year, so not a drastic increase considering heat and hot water is included and all the recent upgrades.

We were so happy to move out because the leasing office is a mess. Couldn't tell you how many times I would walk over to leasing office to ask a question and the ladies would be on lunch break for hours. They would even put up on a tour sign and then I would watch them drive away. So many things mixed up when we moved out even though we gave over a 90 day warning and had all paperwork filled out ahead of time and correctly. They sent the end of lease papers to the roommate who moved out years ago even though we switched the lease out of her name. Package room is always a mess and can barely move around in there sometimes. Feels like an elderly living community. If it weren't for the disorganized and sometimes rude leasing office staff we would have given 4/5 stars

Since being taken over by the new management company, things have improved slightly, but issues with falling down garage have still not been addressed. In addition, the parking and other amenities have increased as have the rents across the board. When looking at other apartments in the area, they appear to be trying to be comparable with that market, but in order to do that, they also need to be as comparable to those complexes, and they are not. Unleashed dogs, dog feces, as I said, the garage, noise from events and visitors in common areas not policed remain issues that do not make this facility comparable to those in the area.

There are rented floors and homeowners. Bruce is the point person should you need anything and all the security staff are very friendly, and know your name and your pets! The apartment layouts are spacious and diverse, have stainless steel appliances, washer/dryer and high ceilings. We live on the renter floors so I can only imagine what the homeowners apartments look like, and they also have the added feature of a balcony. The building is located in a corporate complex. We share a parking garage with companies in building 6 which include MetLife and Sikorsky, other buildings utilize the parking like Prudential. The restaurant Il Palio is also in this complex. The only thing that I would change is that renters are not given access to the onsite rooftop pool and gym. However we do have access to a corporate gym in building 3, which is fine. The only way this place could exceed my expectations is if I could land a job in one of these buildings. Best commute ever!!! Helloooo is anyone listening ;)

Whatever you do, do not even consider moving into any of the Metro Star Apartments in Milford! The…read moremanagment could not be more resident unfriendly. Long story short, I moved into the apartments on the green in Milford and within a short time, Metro Star started a construction project yards from my apartment window. They didn't tell me this was going to happen before I signed my lease, and have withheld any type of information about the project from its residents since then, like how long it is supposed to last or expected disruptions during the project. I had a nice view, in a quiet apartment (which is why I chose it), and now there is zero view and construction noise from 7 am to 7 pm, sometimes 7 days a week for the past 8 months or longer. I tried to be understanding, but the disruptions became more and more - blocking access to the building's parking, yelling and screaming workers, trucks coming in and out all day, idling for hours at a time causing such bad fumes I can't even open my windows at night after they leave because of the risidual smell. Add to that, there are workers staring directly into my apartment, literally yards away. I realize that Metro Star is a company and that as a company they have a right to build new units, so I asked nicely to be let out of my lease a few months early, and was told no because it would violate the Fair Housing Laws - a lie. When I pushed back against this perversion of the law, I was simply told no, they don't let people out of their lease for any reason. So I asked if I could move to another unit or building away from the noise, and was told I could but would be charged $1,500 fee. I am not sure who made that nonsensicle decision, but charging a penalty for a resident that wants to sign a new lease on a new unit but charging them $1,500 for the "honor" seems like maybe someone needs to go back to school. The last email I received sums it up perfectly, and this is a direct quote: "I'm sorry to say management has denied any concessions for the construction." The rent here is NOT cheap. There are MUCH better buildings in the area and there are MUCH MUCH better landlords. The greed that Metro Star exhibits is disgusting. They already have such a bad reputation in the community for overbuilding; and from the folks I have spoken to, it will only dive deeper into the sewer due to their lack of any kind of resident relations. Bad business practices result in bad business performance and I am bummed because I feel Milford is going to have a bunch of empty apartment buildings that will fall into disrepair as Metro Star mismanages their apartments into the ground.

After 6 weeks they claim that the freezer had a 24 inches huge crack and I have to pay for it. Then they have the nerve to send me to collection for not paying 1300 dollars for fridge replacement ?? I have original clearance from inspector and that paper does not mention about the crack but they added about the crack 6 weeks later in that clearance paper and they say thats normal to add in with out my knowledge!! I moved into the Union Residences in June, 2025. All I can say is WOW! This is by far one of the…read morebest places I have lived and it's been a great 4 months. The moment I inquired about availability, Chelsea the property manager was there to answer all of my 500 emails (sorry Chelsea!) and she found my the perfect unit, terrace and all. Dee the resident manager is my dog's favorite person in the building and is always around to help out, with a dog treat in hand. The front desk personnel are amazing too (kudos to Chip!), always a hello or good morning when you get off the elevator and when you return to the building it's always a "welcome home". They are so accommodating and always willing to help or answer a question. The building itself is immaculate, the gym is divided into separate sections for cardio, weights, machines, yoga and extremely clean. The free cup of coffee is a nice perk too! My fellow residents whether human or canine are extremely friendly too :) I couldn't be happier!

I could write a 6 paragraph essay about all the nonsense but the main issues are the leasing office and the plumbing. For almost an entire year my bathtub has been clogged. Some days it drains within an hour or so , most days it stays full resulting in stagnant water and dirt from the shower to build up. I have contacted the leasing office multiple times for any kind of help and they either blatantly ignore me or send me a "we're working on it" email to which nothing comes of. They are incredibly unprofessional when actually in the office ( regularly opening late or leaving early which makes it damn near impossible to get a package if you work ). At this point I've asked to be moved to another apartment or to bring in my own plumber and be reimbursed but they consistently assure me that "it'll be fixed soon". I'm lucky if I get 1 full shower a week. Most days I'm washing myself and my hair via the sink. I'm disgusted with this complex and the management.
