The scar on his arm probably should have had stitches even though she told me differently. If there was better communication on this I would rate it higher.

My husband and I found her listing on petfinder.com in September, and we couldn't help but inquire to see if she was available. Lucky us, she hadn't been adopted yet. We filled out an application and were approved within two days. By the end of the week, we were driving out to the farm to meet her. On the way to rural Poland we were so excited yet anxious: would she be the right fit for us? When we reached the farm, we were greeted by a male volunteer, who led us a small, secluded indoor space. There we met Miss Violet, and it took us about two seconds to fall head-over-heels in love with her. She was such a happy-go-lucky sweetheart, even when she peed all over my leg. As we petted her, we looked over her folder, which included the dates of her shots, microchip, and spay. There was also a contract we signed saying that if any point we no longer wanted her, she had to be returned to the farm again. (This was not going to be a problem, but I think it shows the dedication and care from the rescue.) We left after about 20 minutes with our pup in tow. We followed up with our vet the following week, and she said that Rescue Farm had done a fine job taking care of Violet in the four weeks they had her. After our experience with Rescue Farm, I would definitely recommend a future pet owner reaching out to them for a pup. Our Violet is proof that they provide a safe haven as the pups wait to be adopted.

They let us take Matilda with us, so we could determine if they would be a good match. We stayed for over an hour. That was a such a great accomodation. Sophie is a such a sweetheart. She is such a wonderful addition to our home!

No one answers the phone. They use an answering service to call clients back, but I would prefer someone just pick up in the first place. Outside of business hours, you are unable to leave a message. They have a recording stating they are closed, etc. that repeats. The location is convenient for me and once there, I have had only pleasant experiences. Overall worthwhile, but mixed feelings as expected.

Normally M.C.H.S. lets you adopt domesticated cats for pets from them that will be indoors…read moreprimarily. But I was looking for what is known as working cats or barn cats. These are feral cats, not domesticated. I am surrounded by cornfields and when the corn is harvested they chase all the mice out of the fields. I filled out an application for two kittens and they said they do regularly have working cats available. It didn't even take two weeks and they called. I could accept only two if I wanted but they told me they had found a mother and four two month old kittens. They asked if I was willing to take the whole family and I was because as they said the mother will teach the kittens how to hunt the mice. By the way if you are familiar with their history, these are the cats found by the Knead The Dough bakery on Morgan St. Now what really impressed me was that they delivered the cats to me and set them up with a cage, food and water bowls, litter box, litter, and food (which I declined since I had already purchased a lot of food because I knew they were coming after the vet visit). All five animals were spayed or neutered. There was no adoption charge or fees of any kind since I guess its possible the cats could run away. But the reason for the cage is to keep them caged for 10-14 days to get used to us feeding and watering them so they won't try to go back to their former home. All they ask is to call them when I am finished with their equipment and they will come and get it. I also received paperwork for each cat with their names and date of rabies shot, etc. Their names are Yvonne, mama; Yoyo, female and very shy; Yodel, male and playful; Yeti, male and the most friendly, letting us pet him after only two days; and Yoshi, male and a tad shy but curious. Cute names huh? I did make a donation out of my two garage sales proceeds so thanks to all who bought something. This is what the grand kids wanted. And I have added on to their cage with two dog pens I already owned so their living area is now three times the size of their original cage which is all temporary anyway. Big thanks to Morgan County Humane Society for making all of this happen for us all. These felines will be well looked after.

When she returned she could not assist us and that they closed at 6pm. Then referred us to go to take our SICK dog (labored breathing and shaking uncontrollably) to in St Francis in Centerton. The website stated hours on Mondays were until 8pm. VERY UPSETTING. If I was able, it would be negative stars! :(

When they phoned me to discuss dog, I asked about the fakakta rules, "happy to discuss the reasons another time, but not today" The veterinary care was adequate, and the proximity means I'll go back, just a warning to others.
