Ahead of time, he explained in detail how they'd need to dig a deep trench and start the base of the wall several feet underground. The concrete would have a lattice of rebar in it and... it was more than I could understand but it sounded extremely thorough and strong. The crew did an excellent job on the wall and taking care of the surrounding property. There is a small brick wall near the big wall that was also in disrepair -- as part of their clean up, they actually ended up putting the brick wall back together better than it was before. They got to work within a couple of weeks of signing the paperwork (given how most contractors these days are slow, this was very impressive) and the work was done on schedule. They cut and lift away the top half and then the main section of the tree, guiding it expertly over telephone & electric wires straight into a wood chipper. A few cuts to remove any extra long branches and they're done. The bottom part of the tree is cut, lifted and gently put down on solid ground, they take those pieces away in their truck. To access the backyard they put down truck mats to protect the grass. It's *all* cleaned up and hauled away in about an hour per tree. Impressive to watch!
