Claudio and his crew removed a massive maple a year ago and I just had them come back to take down 2 towering white pines next to my house. Both jobs were professional and outstanding from beginning to end. The job required that they climb to cut down the tree as their crane could not get to the space. I almost couldn't look while this stage was done! The crew worked for a day and a half (the first day ended at 8 when they were wearing miners hats to complete cleanup). The cut wood was carefully rolled across the lawn to a spot where they could get it all into a truck. No damage to the lawn or property despite the weight of the logs. We had an emergency situation where a 100 ft + tree was losing limbs and with it's proximity to the house, we were concerned. Claudio provided a competitive quote and was precise in the work that he would be performing. The crew showed up on site on time and was able to remove the tree without incident. Claudio gave me a very reasonable quote for work on two trees. His crew took down a 100-foot poplar with a bucket truck. And he had another crew, with a tree-climber, remove limbs, from a 120-foot white oak, that were hanging over our front roof. Limbs and branches kept falling onto our roof from that white oak, and ruined our rain gutter on that roofline. His crew cleaned up the lawn and yard after the work, used an industrial chipper to tear up the branches, and used a mini-excavator with a grappling arm to load the poplar pieces into a dump truck, and hauled everything away. We needed a huge silver maple cut down in our back yard and Claudio's estimate came in well below other bids. Based on great reviews we hired him and he and his men did not disappoint! There were 6 or 7 men here and I have rarely seen such efficiency. They cut down the tree using a bucket and ropes (there were huge branches hanging over the house), cleaned up as they went along, and took away every bit of wood. Not only that, they replaced dirt and reseeded in places where the branches had marred the ground. If we decide to have the stump ground up and removed next spring we'll be calling Claudio. I judge maybe Claudio himself wrote all these wonderful praises I saw of his supposedly "4.9 star" business. And here is why: I called, asked for an estimate; he came quickly, evaluated a substantive but simple trimming and tree project, and gave me a workable estimate. We shook hands and set a date. He seemed happy to the agreement. However, The day set turned out very rainy; I called for a reschedule; no answer. I sent a text for a reschedule. Nothing. No reply at all. Gone. Claudio lacked any common courtesy, professional business communication, and just plain old customer consideration. For no apparent reason I know, he inconvenienced me, my preparations with my adjacent neighbors, and set me back weeks on my plans.
