Let's get to the point. If you see them coming, think of them as a Hurricane RUN RUN RUN. After Hurricane Helene, FP was on the street signing up homes to perform cleanup and complete restoration. They signed me up and three of my neighbors. They quickly came in a removed (sort of) the flood residue on the floor and ripped out the sheetrock. As part of ripping out the sheetrock, they ran their saws over the walls with no consideration as to what was in the wall. As a result, they cut through three of my pocket doors. All they neeed to do was close the door and the door would be out of the way. The overall work was shoddy at best and was overbilled on the invoice. The invoice contained lots of stuff they did not perform. They promised complete restoration but never would come back to work. Everyday they would provdie a different contact name and a promised date to begin the restoration. It never happened. I thougth it was just me, but for all four jobs on the street, they simply stopped coming, ignored calls, and sent inflated invoices for the cleanup/tear out work. In the midst of a complete disaster and terrible time for homeowners, they simply ignored and walked away. Then sent the inflated bills to everyone. They say on a hurricane to flee the water...they shoud add to flee whever you see FP Property Restoraton approaching you. They do more emotional damage to you than the storm itself. Quite shocking they could treat people so poorly in their time of need. Seems I can end this review, because I could go on and on about how bad they are - but I have to stop somewhere. Fp Restoration was the worst company I have ever dealt with! it took me over a year to even come out and talk about it. This company made my life a living hell for 8 months! Had 17K worth of living expenses. Used all of it in 2 1/2 months in AirBnBs. Thank goodness I have a sister that we could stay with in between. They hired people to do work that they had no idea how to do!! I am still finding drywall dust where I never expected! the first drywaller didn't cover anything. Our furniture was ruined. We finally ordered the flooring to get things moving! They were not happy since they had to now cover the floor to finish the work. I could go on forever. If there were 0 stars, I would give them. I contacted FP Property Restoration several months ago regarding some long term water damage presenting at our entry points that I wanted to have the leaks evaluated before replacing the floor. Per their website, they provide "free, on-site inspection". Andrew Stevens insisted I file an insurance claim & that they leave dehumidifiers (which I never once turned on because of their loud sound), knowing this was not tied to a specific event, drawing out the process for months. I then called and asked for the dehumidifiers to be removed and was told no, I needed to wait for the insurance. Of course the claim was denied, at which time I requested they come get the dehumidifiers AGAIN (that were never used) and a quote to repair the damage. I have now been harassed for months with calls to collect on the $12,000+ invoice (that I've never seen). Every time I explain to them that no work was done. This morning they called to "graciously" lower the invoice to $1,300. For an estimate. No work has ever been done. Every interaction has been unprofessional, I was just hung up on by their "collections manager" Paula when I asked for a copy of the contract and invoice. read more

BEWARE!! Stay away from this company! Very unprofessional and less then stellar workmanship. This company is a complete joke. They were recommended through my insurance company and what a mistake. Over a month later and I am now looking for another company to complete the original job that this company failed to do. Besides causing damages in the home .. damaged my living room tv, never turned off or covered my AC intake while scraping popcorn and doing drywall. Had to call HVAC to defreeze my entire system. They came out on 3 different occasions to try and get this job right which was way beyond what I should have allowed. Was issued a refund check for damages caused and my bank alerted me to this being a fraudulent account. RED FLAGS everywhere. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere! read more

FP responded super quickly, inspected and began mitigation immediately. We continued with FP for restoration. The team was quick to get to work on our unit. We had another problem after they started, and so FP had to discontinue work until that issue was resolved. The FP team was very patient, and once that issue was resolved, they immediately got back to our unit and finished the job. I appreciate the job that they did, their patience with finishing our job, and the correspondence from Melinda at the office. We would definitely use FP Restoration again! read more

Don't look for any follow-up with this company. I requested a quote had to call (4) times and left (2) messages for the President of the company NO return call from him. I needed a wall build and three bathrooms renovated. Maybe they are too busy but if a project manager can't even get you a proposal and promises three times you will get it and fails each time...what promises is he going to make on the project and fail to follow up after they take your money. My advice stick with a company that is responsive on the proposal stage...most likely they will follow up on the project stage. I will be looking for another company. read more

On a good note, The company was only one who was able to come see our property on weekend, on a very short notice. However, bedsides that I'm less than impressed. They had to remove base boards and rip up the carpet to get fans to fix the water damage. Once they were done they refused to fix the damage THEY inflicted to our house. read more

They took months to do the work , never answered calls, lost my cabinet doors, didn't cover any furniture when they did the demo, spray painted over existing picture on the wall! , said they were working on cabinet rebuild and three months later admitted they hadn't started! Crooks do not hire!My insurance sent them They came to my home a rental property I owned in Cape Coral When my roof started leaking due to hurricane Irma May 2018 they was only in a master bedroom closet wall and carpet got wet they removed drywall and carpet and tarped my home.Then insurance co. sent out adjuster to look at and approve new roof on June 26th 2018 FP Removed the tarp for inspection 9am and said the would put tarp back on house.Then On June 30th 2018 I get a call from FP project Mgr. PK that the need to remove more drywall in home but not to worry my Insurance Co. will pay for it. I asked him to send me pictures he did from his cell phone much to my surprise they had gutted my entire kitchen ceilings walls molding insulation and my living room ceiling and 1 wall .I called him back after I checked the weather for Cape Coral for 3 days it said heavy rain and told him you left my tarp off my house he said it blew off! Then FP blew me off would not return my calls obtained the owners cell no. from another bad reveiw he keep hanging up on me told me to have my lawyer contact him .Since they were hired by my insurance co. and were under contract with them they would not admit to the damage they caused. So for 8 months I fought my insurance co. for payment for damages and they basically led me to believe in not so many words that I went there with a garden hose I live in Michigan . Then contacted my flood ins. for help but he needed to see home before all drywall was removed so I gave him their no. And wished him luck somehow he obtained the pictures straight from FP from a unknowing secretary .By the way flood did not help me with damages for contractors leaving off tarp. If this company would have fessed up or just went ahead and repaired damages instead of trying to have me going along with them on oh don't worry your ins. will pay for it And me telling ins. co. they left tarp off back firing on me and them accusing me of doing damage. Because of them I was not paid loss of rents for 8 months my ins. policy had in it. And after I sent my ins. co. obtained pics they gave me a low ball settlement so I went down to Florida to do all I could myself to get house ready for sale had to rack up my credit cards on things wouldn't pay for example FP never produced to ins. sample of carpet they ruined my blinds and a lot of recessed lighting ect. I was finanacially strapped empty house with out a tenants Who paid $1200 per month and I made payments for house payment of $1100 lawn care and utilities I was at a great loss I ended up having selling the home that I originally bought for my future retirement home Thanks to FP that dream is over instead it was a nightmere for me read more

They were the only contractors in my house and after the second day by hand gun went missing. I informed FP and they never called me back; over a missing fire arm. Again we called and they assured us this would be resolved and here we are months later and haven't heard anything. They then came back in, without my knowledge or the home owners and took watch and 300 dollars cash while they were "getting equipment" they left behind. Again ensuring us they would get to the bottom of it and we never heard back. Not to mention the work they did was awful, they tore out the ceramic tile and left 80% of the thinset and left tile under all the baseboards. absolute shit service. read more

I wish I could give a zero, do not use FP Restoration - they are quick to respond ok bit then rip as much out as possible and leave your home in a mess. The follow up is awful, just a mess, badly organized, continual lies and then they never show up. Do not choose this company, you will work harder than they will! This company left my house with no work done for almost 2 1/2 months! We had 7 project managers throughout our project. Each project manager talks a good game but none were effective (until the last) of actually getting any work done. They did a good job at removing the mold but then the nightmare of constantly having to text, call and email about someone showing up began. They asked us to sign that work was completed when work wasn't done. They would call and say people were on their way and they never showed. Initially showed up on time and addressed the flooding in our condo, set up fans and dehumidifiers and said they would come back and check on the progress. Came back 3 days later to pick up their equipment. Left the condo in disarray, carpet still rolled up and trim and tack strip strewn about. Indicated to our tenant that someone would come back to complete the job. No one ever showed up. 2 weeks later our tenant called and said no one had ever returned to complete the job. Contacted the company and was referred to a project manager who told me they had done everything that I paid for, when I questioned him about completing the job he said he would send a separate team to give me a quote for completing the job. Originally was told they would do the job to completion. I made a big mistake paying them in full in good faith. I apparently have no recourse now. Shameful way to do business. read more

Giving one star because can't give zero. FP was recommended by the company we used to find the leak in my kitchen. They came in and ripped out 3 cabinets, and broke the granite countertop in the process. I had filed an insurance claim, and before any work was started I asked if we should wait to get insurance company approval. I was told that the insurance company would cover it. On 7/19/18 the insurance company denied the claim. I left message for Mike, the project manager. He left me a message saying he would talk to his boss. I spoke with Mike on Monday and he said try to appeal the insurance company's decision. He also told me he would talk to his boss and the owner to see what the options were. I also sent him a copy of the letter that the insurance company sent.I haven't heard from him since. This company came to "help" us with water damage from a burst pipe. They just started ripping everything up, I'm talking the flooring, and walls. They didn't care and just wanted the money because like they told us over and over "the insurance will cover it." Well guess what, our insurance didn't cover the damage plus what this company did to our house. The owner is extremely rude and thinks he is smarter than everyone else. He is just out for the almighty dollar. DON'T get scammed by these people. They are the worst. read more
