Le Velo Vert is on the Levi side of the St. Lawrence directly in front of the ferry terminal. They were so kind, helpful and professional and their bicycling equipment was top quality, comfortable and well maintained. The prices here are better than on the Vieux Quebec side of the St. Lawrence and there are wonderful biking trails on both sides of the river. No extra charge to bring bikes on the ferry and the ferry adds to the adventure! We hope to return to do more bicycling in this beautiful part of the world and see Guy and Marc again! In Raquette Artisanat Gros-Louis we find a good friendly service employing local members of the Community. Promoting this place is not only promoting a merchant but also a whole community extremly habile and skilled in the ancient art of making mocassins, boots, gloves and arts and of course Racket. Old school native and new more modern kind too. Of course this place sell all the tourist stuff too but it would be ridiculous not too if your competitor would. But the fact is that they sell mostly locally handwork products and some really high quality too. I found a pair of cow leather boot with mutton fur inside. The boot mainly feel like a well-supported but a barefoot feeling to it that really hot for our Winter. Now they also have some mocassion that I usually use as confy slipper. Please do not judge or fail to misjudge any of Native practice in regards to Leather or Animal fur or any kind of things like that. They don't massacre animal for the kick of it, they do it for their own survival. It's also way higher quality than synthetic furs or vegan leather: Still a fact. You'll also find some incenses, bracelets, necklace, earings, gloves and all of it is, again, mostly localy produced. You buy gear that almost nobody has that's high quality! J'ai essayé des bottes d'hiver avec des designs et je sais que c'Est mes bottes pour cet hiver à coup sur. Belle qualité de cuir, beau design et sentiment d'être nu pied dans une botte hyper chaude en mouton à l'intérieur et cuir de vache pour l'Extérieur. Toutes les grandeurs! Les mocassins sont une chaussure avec une semelle de cuire mince qui sont chaude mais pas trop et surtout extrêmement confortable. Désolé pour les PETA ou les gens qui pensent que les premières nations massacre pour le plaisir les animaux mais le fait est que la qualité en peau d'animales est hautement supérieure et de loin plus durable. On y retrouve des fourrures, des colliers, de l'encen, des bracelets, des boucles d'oreilles, des mitaines, des gants et la Grande majorité est produit localement et à la main.
