Updating my original review. The owner is now trying to get us to sign a settlement letter in order to receive our RIGHTFUL refund back. Basically stating we have to take our negative review down in order for us to receive MONEY OWED BACK TO US. SO UNETHICAL it is insane. Now I understand how they had only 5 star reviews when researched. I'm going to guess that they send settlement letters out so that they are taken down. I have already received messages from other people going through the same ordeal. All I can say is avoid at all costs. Have everything in writing and itemized if you are unfortunately going through the same ordeal. I cannot speak for other project managers. But our unfortunate PM Jacob, was inept to do the job. Not only did he lack basic communication skills( if you are a woman, he has a problem taking criticism), but he had no idea what he was doing. Please read Mark C.s current review. We felt as though we were chatting with a glorified phone salesman always trying to push new products. He damaged our newly done patio with bad stucco job and demolished part of our fence with no apologies. Never double checking with his subcontractors so most of them showed up to our house with no idea what they were doing or what we wanted. We had to hire another contractor to fix all their shoddy workmanship. We ended our communication with him when he said and I quote "sweetie, don't give me attitude" on the phone when we called to explain that he needed to fix electrical work his original subpar contractor damaged. Never taking accountability for anything. Unbelievably sexist and disgusting. And it looks like he is still around doing the same if you read the newest negative reviews. We thought we would get better from the owner, but now he is pushing a settlement letter on us in order to give us our rightful money back. Gaslighting us as though he is the victim and doing us a "favor." We are refusing and will be out $2600 because of it. I am thankful that we did not overpay any more when we saw how shady things were getting. I have never worked with such an unethical company. We will be looking to report to the BBB and to file a complaint with the Contractors State Licensing Board. I will thank another homeowner going through the same ordeal on that tidbit. read more

Recently we contracted this team for our driveway replacement. They did a great job. I watched almost every step of their installation of pavers. Before the installation, I have called the paver manufacture (Angelus) and got a copy of their IFU (instruction for use) and have studied all the steps for installation. I recently moved into a new home and had 2 major problems I had to fix asap: 1 - the asphalt driveway was in very poor condition 2 - I could not get my car down the driveway without scraping the bottom Framework was very creative and flexible in coming up with a solution that was cost effective and could address my main problem of getting the car down the driveway. (Some other contractors said it was impossible) We decided to demo all the old asphalt, repave the whole driveway with new asphalt, and put pavers at the top, for appearance and also flexibility in shaping the grade of the driveway. Throughout the process Ariel was always responsive and worked hard to get the job done as quickly and efficiently as possible. I've been waiting a long time to renovate / remodel my backyard and wanted to get everything done correct the first time. My ideas and his informative advice on details made this project better than I expected. We haven't had a walkway for over a year due to plumbing issues that made it necessary to dig a big trench in our front lawn, destroying our original walkway. This provided us with the opportunity to have a new walkway built, but I had no idea what design I wanted, color, type of brick or pavers, until I did some research and contacted Framework construction. No one completely trusts contractors (unless they were referred by friends or family) and there's always that fear of getting swindled. However, I was fortunate to meet Yahav. He listened to what ideas I had for my ideal walkway and seemed to understand what I wanted. Yahav provided suggestions, pictures of jobs they completed similar to what I wanted, and was honest if my request would not achieve a positive outcome. Because of my busy work schedule, I need to ensure that I have a project manager that communicates frequently. Yahav communicated almost daily before, during, and after our walkway was completed and the gentleman that installed our pavers were respectful and professional. Our project turned out better than expected and I love our new walkway and porch. On a side note, my walkway project was small (square footage) compared to the jobs Framework is accustomed, however, they still provided the same amount of detail and service as they would any larger project. We added a fence and created a large enclosed patio. - David is responsive via text and actually started the job a week earlier than anticipated. I have never posted a review on Yelp before, but I felt compelled to do so in this case. I wish that I could have had a choice to give Framework Construction zero stars. Framework Construction will cut every corner, including those that you would never imagine, to your detriment. I had to hire a second contractor to redo my entire backyard patio paver, and patio cover project. First, Framework Construction does not excavate to install the gravel base for your pavers. They put the gravel base for installing pavers on top of your existing soil ground level. This results in your pavers sitting five (5) inches above ground level on top of a three-inch stack of cement as shown in the first picture. See the second picture for pavers reset properly at ground level by the other contractor with no ugly looking stack of cement to look at from your yard. If your house has a crawl space, then make sure Framework Construction does not use the crawl space vents as a good place to drain rain water under your house as seen in the third picture. See the fourth picture for work done by the second contractor to lower paver level below crawl space vents, and the grading of pavers to drain water away from the house. If Framework Construction tells you that your project needs plumbing work, then I strongly recommend that you hire a real professional plumber to do the job. See Framework Construction plumbing work in the fifth picture. See the sixth picture for rework done by a real plumber to replace ball valve plus new copper piping to resolve water leaks at valve connections with support bracing installed between copper pipes, and wall to stabilize wobbly pipe structure. If you love cats, then Framework Construction is your company. See the seventh picture showing bottom of left wood gate trimmed by Framework Construction to allow your neighborhood cats easy access both into, and out of your yard without having to climb over your gate.
