There are several doctors here, as well as various nurses, midwives and clinics. It's very handy to have all these services under one roof. The receptionists are usually friendly and helpful. Getting an appointment can be quite difficult, but there are emergency clinics so it is usually possible to be seen on the same day if needed. I've never had to wait very long to be called in for my appointment, and the receptionists generally tell patients if a doctor is running significantly late. The waiting room is roomy and comfortable. My only complaint is that they seem to have removed all the toys and books from the waiting room, which can make entertaining bored children quite difficult. Hopefully they are just making room for something bigger and better!

The surgery itself is conveniently located in the centre of town although apparently they are thinking of moving it to a combined location with the other surgeries in Tewkesbury at some later date but I am not sure when. There is a small car park at the rear of the surgery and also a huge car park around the back of the good news centre which is opposite to the surgery. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to support you through issues. they have a very usefull out of hours automated phone service so you can book and cancel appointments at awkward times of the day. They have a small play area for children to play in while waiting for appointments and also their own pharmacy

I had my baby here in December 2006 and it was a fantastic experience. The midwives were amazing and they did everything in their power to ensure that we stuck to my birth plan. I ended up having a waterbirth in the delivery suite (sadly the birth unit was shut for Christmas!) and it was everything I had dreamed that it would be. The aftercare was excellent and the wards were relaxed and friendly. I've also made three trips to the out of hours doctor, once for myself and once for each of my children. There's often a long wait, but the waiting room as fairly comfortable and there are plenty of toys for the little ones. It's certainly a lot better maintained than some of the hospitals I've been to.

She didn't even acknowledge us as was busy with paperwork then when did notice said she's busy currently. I informed her that my daughter was having an allergic reaction(this was quite clear as her lips were extremely swollen and she was dribbling and couldn't talk). the receptionist said that they were no appointments and said to go the pharmacy. As a medical professional myself who works in a GP surgery aswell as out of hours I know fully well that if a patient came in with a severe allergic reaction, they would not be turned away.
