9:30PM Night Tour of Paris... Paris is a visual city. One of the best ways to orient yourself is with the popular two-hour tourist bus tours that loop the city center. After searching through AD's for objective reviews: (https://freetoursbyfoot.com/hop-on-hop-off-paris/), we saved a few euros by scheduling a night tour, a day before on their website. Navigating activities, times, connections, streets, maps, names, transport and stops takes real dedication. So, why not leave the driving to a tour company? Since we were arriving in the afternoon, it was expected that we would encounter rush hour. Too late for a daylight tour or even the 7:00PM night tour, although that's what we would have preferred since its right around sunset and warmer. Meeting near Rivoli Metro station we verified that we were paid passengers at the front desk. The bus was on time and once folks got their earplugs, there was a mad unorganized scramble to board the bus for folks to reach the open air upper deck. We started off in the loop from Notre Dame (unlit), Seine to Left Bank to Eiffel Tower, rounding the Champs Eylsees to the Arc de Triomphe, the Opera House, Moulin Rouge and back. Sitting towards the middle of the bus gives the best all around views. Best photographs are when the bus stops completely. Bring a jacket and scarf. Lots of those folks who rushed the top deck eventually went below since it gets cool as the evening wears on. For 20È its a quick cheap way to orient yourself and snap a few great pics. I have booked 6 tours with them, two of tours were cancelled. My 1st tour was Loire valley castles tour, they cancelled my tour after 4 pm the day before the tour started. Due to our travelling , we did not have a chance to check email, we got up 6 am to wait at the meeting place for 7: 15 tour, later we realized the car did not come, then found out tour cancelled. I booked the tour 2 months in advance, never thought of the possibility of being cancelled. I ended up booking Loire valley castles tour with getyourguide . France Tourisme is a small group of 8 people, price was better than getyourguide. The guide was professional, if you manage to join to tour, it is great, but also you need to be flexible to be cancelled at the last mins, I mean less than 24 hour notice, which can risk ruining your holiday. Luckily I managed to cancel one of my tour and did the pre booked museum 2 days in advance to rebook my Loire tour with another company. read more

We arrived 15 minutes early on 10-14-2024 at the France Tourisme office as requested, and were told to wait outside until the tour guide showed up at 9:00 am. Our guide met us around 9:15 am and we arrived at the Louvre around 9:30 am. Unfortunately, the Louvre did not open that day until 10:45 am. While this was not our guide's fault, the tour was rushed. The tour guide had another tour scheduled after ours, and felt obligated to tend to their needs instead of ours. This indicates that France Tourisme does not allow adequate time between tours to address unexpected scheduling challenges. The guide offered to meet us later, but of course we all had other plans that we couldn't change. She dumped us in the Mona Lisa room behind a large crowd of other visitors. Given how bad this tour was, we should have all been given refunds for this very poor experience. In addition, other tours I have been on offered the opportunity to rate the service. France Tourisme did not, and I suspect this is because they know how bad the tour was. I am therefore posting this review on Yelp. I recommend that you skip this tour, and attend the Louvre on your own. You'll have a better experience. read more

I ordered my full day guided tour for Palace of Versailles via their mobile website which made it appear that I would have a full day tour with a guide. The other option was a half day audio tour. What I booked made no mention of an audio tour. It also said my tickets said there will be no line to the main entrance. The ticket also included admission to Trianons and a ride on the "little train". Damien who was on the bus gave me the ticket saying that I had the special ticket and would grant me access to everything in the park. Once I arrived, I was told that I had no guide that what I paid for was a full day to explore the grounds myself. What am I even paying this company for?? Damien said he didn't have time and told me to call the company, I'm obviously visiting from another country. I was simply stranded there and had no phone service. Damien provided horrible service. Once I was stranded there, I decided to make the best of it, I had to wait in line for approximately 15 minutes until I was admitted. Mind you, the website says I had a ticket thats no queue to the entrance. After exploring, I eventually presented my ticket to the little train staff and they said my ticket did not suffice. Damien failed to mention I was suppose to submit a voucher. As a result of missing the little train, I also miss the Trianons because the little train brings you there. The customer service rep at the store front by the name of Maelle was very nice and informed us of Damien's mistake and that he was new. Well kudos for trusting a new bus guide but there was no compensation or refund for the new guys mistake. I will never use this company again nor will I recommend this tour agency to anybody. read more

I had a great time going to Normandy with them. They speak English and our guide Jeremy went above and beyond. However I wouldn't book the lunch and go eat at any restaurant on your own as the choices are ok. It doesn't cost much more for something you'll enjoy a lot more! They're are very user friendly for new adventures aka first time travelers. read more

They drive by too fast across monuments and architectural building for you to take a look at them at night. The bus has high windows which ruins the view for most of the architecture. They have different price on the website than at the store and won't price match even if you show them. The only good part is if you are short on time you will get a chance to see all the famous structures night view in 1 hour but to me it was waste of 22 euros read more

i stumbled into this place looking for the Paris Tourist place and was glad I did. I wanted to take a trip to Versailles and although I am a confident metro and train user, I was pretty sure there would be a long walk from the Versaille train station to the Versailles Palace. So for about 50€, I joined them at their Louvre location and left for a half day visit. On their end, everything was as promised. A ride and a bit of an introduction and some sight-seeing tips on our way home. The only disappointment was paying an extra 10€ to see a water show in the Versailles garden which didn't seem to exist, but everyone was paying the extra tariff, not just customers of Tourisme. My dealings with them were accurate and knowledgeable and fair -- just what is needed in a tour provider. Their meeting place had a downstairs loo and snacks for sale. read more

Great one stop shop for tickets and deals. We found one of their brochures at our hotel and after browsing through we realized we wanted to check almost everything they offered! The trip to Versailles was definitely great as we got to relax on the bus ride and see the sights a little outside of Paris. The bus left from right outside their shop. We did the Seine River cruise for 10€ and a couple other things. They advertised a sale/discount in the brochure and it said you needed the brochure for the discount but it seemed like they had the same exact sale in the shop. There are two separate counters with a couple people available to help you at each counter. It got a little busy so be prepared to wait especially when the people have a lot of questions or are purchasing multiple tickets/packages. But luckily they have a waiting area with tables and chairs and free wifi! read more

If I could give them 0 star I would. The hop on hop off bus drove off even before we could be seated. My parents are in their 70s so it was extremely difficult for them to stand and find their way to a seat. Grand Augustins location the lady working the counter was extremely rude. We had a question to ask her but not once did she look up all she did was shake her head and say no. We had to wait in line at Versailles even though the person who booked our ticket said we wouldn't have to wait in line. What he failed to mention was you don't have to wait in line for the ticket but still wait in the line for security. I suggest booking directly through Website for cheaper rates. I would not recommend this tour company. read more

The only reason I give this company 2 stars is because our guide, Nicholas was FANTASTIC. If not for him, I would give this company 0 stars. We did a day trip to Mont St Michel on Monday, April 22nd, 2019. We paid for pick up and drop off service from/to our hotel. Pick up service was fine and our tour was fine. The problem came with the return. Apparently this company doesn't take traffic into account when you are returning from an excursion that is 4 hours from Paris. We encountered quite a bit of traffic on the return back, so instead of getting back at 9pm our bus didn't get back until 10pm. Before we even arrived back, our tour guide, Nicholas, came to me and said that because of traffic and the bus being delayed, our ride back to our hotel was being cancelled. I'm sorry, but WHAT??!! Mind you I am a single female with my 17 year old daughter, and this was first trip overseas. We knew NOTHING about the taxis or the metro system and UBER was saying it would be a wait of 30 minutes. Anger was coming off of me in massive waves. How do you not account for TRAFFIC?!! This was horrible. When we finally get back, of course the company is closed and there is no way to get help from anyone. TERRIBLE SERVICE. Here is where the 2 stars I did give this place come in. Our guide, Nicholas, saw how upset I was and asked where we were staying. He took time from going home himself to get us back to our hotel. He didn't have a car, but he took us on the metro. Stayed with us on the train, and then walked us to our hotel. That man is what customer service is all about. I can't say the same for the rest of this company. It took a beautiful day and made it a horrible experience. I did get refunded for the return trip, but trust me when I say, customer safety and satisfaction is not a priority at all for this company. If you book through them, do not use the pickup/drop off hotel option because the slightest delay will cause them to cancel it....even TRAFFIC DELAYS. This company needs to incorporate a practice of staying open until all of their buses are back in case of issues like this. Closing, and leaving people stranded is a horrible way to do business. read more

We paid extra money so that we could go as a small group of 8 people to Mont St Michel on 8/20/18, and were promised that it is in ENGLISH and GUIDED TOUR. Well, it NEVER happened!! I think our guide called Alex. He is very nice but struggles in English from time to time, and even in French, but speaks very well Spanish. There were 4 people only speak English, 2 speak French, and 2 other speak Spanish. The 2 Spanish speakers sat on front seats and the guide ended up speaking Spanish all the time to the couples. Once a while, he spoke English and Spanish to us but only to tell us where we were going, when to stop by, where to wait for him... NOTHING AT ALL talking about St. Michel... which is a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT to all of us since that's what we paid for.. well he might have done it but in Spanish to the Spanish speaker couples!? After we arrived in Mont St. Michel, again just told us where to meet him, asked us to go by ourselves to cider tasting at 3:30pm, and then walked up to the Abby. Once at the Abby, he couldn't get a tour guide for us nor audioguide, so he just handed us a brochure and asked us to walk the Abby by ourselves, so NO GUIDED TOUR AT ALL!! We were so mad but there's nothing else we could do... we basically just walked around our own without knowing much about the history or anything... We did enjoy the place and view very much, and found a great restaurant for lunch. Overall, it was a bad experience and we do not recommend this tour or even this company... read more

BE AWARE !!!! Just because you book a tour with an ENGLISH speaking guide , does not mean that it will be a ENGLISH spoken tour. We ( 2people ) booked a 12 hour tour with 6 other people (strangers) on the tour, All 8 of us spoke and understood English , 4 of us were Americans , 2 from France , and the other 2 were from America , but were natives from a Spanish speaking country. The guide was constantly speaking 99% of the tour in Spanish and basically only spoke ENGLISH to give minimal information during the 12 hours . During the tour they were talking on various topics but also the guide was providing the Spanish speaking couple information about the sites and areas we were passing thru. Since I speak and understand Spanish I think it would have been nice if he had shared that information with the rest of the tour group ..... we all paid for the tour , not just the couple from the Spanish speaking country . The other 5 people did not understand Spanish at all so I am certain I will not be the only negative review like this. It is such a shame but I would recommend you LOOK ELSEWHERE for a tour provider. We did bring this fact to the attention of our guide about 2 hours into the tour , but if anything it made it worse , so we had to endure 12 hours of Spanish and received very little value for our money. I hope this company will address this situation with their employees so as to prevent this situation in the future , but I have my doubts , Just BE AWARE of the fine print !!! Terrible!! We bought the Royal Serenade and Fountains show at Versailles PLUS transportation back to Paris, as it was going to be late and the trains stop running by midnight. We showed up at the garden entrance (per instructions) and realized we would have to wait in line to exchange voucher for ticket and then go back and wait in another line for security. At no time did we ever see a tour guide or representative of the company. We were told to meet at the Louis XIV equestrian statue at 11:30 for transportation back to Paris. We wanted to make sure we didn't miss our ride, so we got to the statue at 11:07. We waited until 11:50, and by that time almost the entire place had been cleared out or loaded onto buses. There is a completely separate area for buses, so my husband worried maybe that is what they meant by the meeting place. I stayed at the statue, and he went to look at all the buses and never saw one with the France Tourisme name. We asked every person around the statue if they had heard of the company, and no one knew anything. By this point there were, literally, maybe five people still at the statue. We finally gave up and ordered and Uber and had to pay to drive back to Paris. Our Uber came at 11:50. We also tried calling the company during the time we were waiting only to receive a voicemail that the office was closed. I contacted the company upon our return, and they told us the driver was there and waited on us until 11:40, and they would do nothing to help us. Absolutely not possible. SO my advice is not to rely on them to transport you back to Paris late at night when the trains have stopped running. Just bite the bullet and pay for an Uber. It's much more reliable. read more

So disappointed and now i feel cheated as well. Lifelong dream to see Versailles and Le Trainon. So bought the 59 euro ticket to see both. Versailles went well but we could not get into Le Trainon because the bus driver at Tourisme gave us the WRONG ticket. Bad enough that my one chance to see the Trainons would not happen--they refused to give us (3 different parties, 5 people in all) the difference between the Versailles only trip and the more expenive trip which included the Trainons. A decent company probably would have refunded the entire trip. Terrible accountability and customer service! read more

Worst customer service!! My sister and I did the Versailles half day tour and it was not a great experience. For starters, they were a half hour late leaving for Versailles which put us even further back in line. We did not get into the Palace until 10:10AM (we arrived at 9AM). We had been asked to be back at the meeting point at 11:45AM, so that only gave us about an hour and a half in the Palace and gardens. When we got to the meeting place at 11:45, our guide was nowhere in sight and did not arrive for another 15 minutes. My pregnant sister was left standing in the sun, being harassed by vendors for an extra 15 minutes. When we arrived back at the office, I explained this to the woman at the front desk and asked for a partial refund. She called her manager and then refused to give me even a partial refund for the crappy experience we had with their agency! To top it off, we didn't even receive a simple "I'm sorry" from any of them for the bad experience. Worst customer service EVER! I will never come to this agency again. read more
