I cannot say enough about this company. We order flowers for my bf's mom all the time, and Francis Florist not only creates beautiful arrangements, but they go above and beyond for their customers, no matter where they're located. My Bf's mom lives in WV, (we are located in California) and Francis Florist is one of a few closest to them. This past Christmas, I pushed ordering until a few days before, and when I did finally order, they're delivery service would not be able to deliver until after the new year. So, I decided to go ahead and order the arrangements and scheduled uber to pick up the delivery (all on 12/24). With uber scheduled, and the arrangements being made, everything was good. Until about 2 minutes before noon (the shop was closing early for Christmas Eve), uber gets back to me saying no one was available and to try again later. Needless to say, I was now trying to book again with uber, and again it would come back with no one available and to try again later. Finally after an hour of not being able to get it picked up, I figured Francis Florist went ahead and saved the arrangement, and I would try again the day after Christmas to call uber to pick them up and finally deliver them. Well, I got a surprise when I received a picture message from my BF's mom with a picture of the arrangements we ordered on her dining table. FRANCIS FLORIST went ahead and delivered the arrangements. That was such a surprise for US and way above and beyond their obligation of making the arrangements, that I had to come on and write this review. My family has used this florist for decades. When I needed to send my sister a "thank you" I called them with her favorite color (blue) to be added more as a wink. They dyed white roses as they didn't have anything else on stock. They sent them out the same day about 10 miles from Pomeroy. I avoided the huge FTD surcharge by calling direct and they are gorgeous. My picture was taken on Monday after a Friday delivery and they still look great. read more

so, for valentines day my sweet hubby ordered me a beautiful arrangement from FTD to be fulfilled by Francis Florist. well the whole surprise was ruined when the driver called to tell me i had flowers and he needed directions.. he was all of 5 min from my house.. but 30 min later he comes and my son goes to get the flowers... boy was i ever disappointed!! I got 6 crumby lillies that were turning brown and almost dead shoved in a vase with two sprigs of fern. I called my husband to thank him for the flowers and I asked how much he paid... he told me it was $80 and imediatly i was angry he said that he had ordered on FTD so that he could get me stargazer lillies (my favorites) because no florist had them in stock. he ordered a week early and paid 10 dollars more than the advertised price on the day of delivery. so i ask which arrangement he picked and he told me i went to the FTD site to view the arrangement and it was BEAUTIFUL! it had stargazers and pink roses delicate little wax flowers, what i got was a far cry from what my husband ordered..so i call francis florist and ask them what's up! they say oh well someone didn't read all the "ingredients" for the "recipe" that was sent so they say they will deliver a new arrangement and i can send the other one back and I say fine. a couple hours later they call me to say that they don't have anymore star gazers. for anyone that doesn't know stargazers are expensive flowers more expensive than roses. they say they can use asiatic lillies which are a cheap filler flower. I am upset but my husband did try to make it a good valentines by getting me beautiful flowers. So i say whatever. at this point i think any flowers are better than none. so at 7:30 pm i finally get a delivery and after all they put me through i still had to return the stargazer lillies the more expensive lillies that my husband actually ordered not like they would have lasted long anyway but it would have been a nice gesture just to say look we dropped the ball, we messed up we ruined your valentines just keep the stargazers shove them in your new arrangement (not that it would have been that easy since the stems averaged 2" long) but it would have been the right thing to do as a business i think. Bottom line we will NEVER use this florist or FTD again read more
