I love Justine for Volume Lashes! I moved here from Los Angeles and tried nearly every place I could find for lashes and was seriously disappointed every time. The lashes put on were barely there and fell off within a week. Not to mention I was charged $200 for the initial lackluster job and told to come back every 2 weeks for $100 fills. Ladies, this is NOT how it's supposed to be. Lashes are A big enough expense on a monthly basis at around $100 and that's what I was paying in Los Angeles. Here in Corpus The places I went to were expecting consumers to pay over $200 a month for Lashes, this is just not acceptable. I found Justine and my search was finally over and I'm so grateful! She does volume lashes and they look amazing and last for a full month and her pricing is extremely reasonable! I highly recommend everyone looking for a lash artist to go to her and everyone already going to a lash artist here in corpus to switch and go to Justine because her work product is far superior, her personality is awesome, her pricing is the best I've found here in corpus and she does specials on on a regular basis. This has to be the best salon in town. The stylists are always up to date with the latest hair trends, as they are constantly sharpening and learning new skills by attending workshops and conventions locally and around the country. The prices are great, staff is very friendly, atmosphere is upbeat and fun. These people are passionate about what they do. I already went twice to this Hair Salon, Dionicio Zamora is the Stylist I went to and he is great. The first time I went there I got a complete cut and he got rid of all my split and dead ends, he did a deep conditioning treatment and also recommended some Hair Care products to use. They sell them also at their Salon. 3 Months later I went again for a trim and a Glace. Looking back from how my hair looked before I went there and how it looks now after using the products he recommended my hair looks and feels way better. He did recommend to keep it trimmed to make it look healthier while I let it grow out. The prices are good, the Staff is very friendly and the location is very welcoming and clean. I did read some reviews here complaining about unexpected prices. I think if you go somewhere you as the customer need to ask how much certain services will cost if you are on a budget. That is how I do it to avoid unexpected costs. I can only recommend this Hair Salon, I will go back soon for another trim. I have mid lengh hair and I believe it is around $40,00 for a cut and styling. read more

Thoroughly disappointed. I went to this salon on a recommendation. I had been flying to Chicago to have my hair done and was used to paying a significant amount of money to have it done. While I did like the way my hair turned out, Francisco did processes to my hair and didn't even give me the common courtesy to check with me prior to doing them. My hair looked no different than it did with my stylist of 20 years, who discusses processes with me before assuming I will approve them. When I scheduled, I scheduled for a cut, color and highlight. The price tag walking out? $550 on what should have been a $300 visit TOPS! When I complained about it, the manager had the gall to tell me that my hair was now "prepped" and the basics were out of the way. Seriously? I had to get out of there before I blew up on her. Would be interesting to see what would happen if someone couldn't pay for these processes that they just "slide" in and expect their clients to pay. As I heard the brags about them being the #4 salon for Redken...I knew how they achieved that sales rank. I thought the woman who posted earlier who had the same thing happen to her was a fluke. Nope. Sure not. Thanks, but no thanks. I will continue to fly to Chicago to get my hair done. read more

Bad haircut, had to go back for repair because it was cut uneven, and still it was "off" she also didn't listen, I requested that my hair be cut straight across and she cut it curved around, stylist was friendly and professional enough but what good is that ?! had to spend more to get it fixed at another salon, enter at your own risk, or go with someone more experienced there, don't wanna be guinea pig, am happy with stylist I found, and that she gave me what I wanted without much loss of length, oh & "ritzy" location means nothing... read more

I've been going to Francisco's for years. They do my cut, color, products. I even get Jane Iredale makeup on occasion. I had my hair straightened with the new Redken re-shaper product 7 weeks ago. Perfect and worth EVERY PENNY!!! With the humidity here and my curly hair, it's now straight all the time. I just dry it, put a couple of flat iron smoothers on it and I'm out the door. I'm saving time and I feel better knowing my hair still looks great at the end of a humid day. Curly girls, you know how it is. I've not had that in the 13 years I've lived in Corpus. This is also way safer than the Brazillian. What I love the most about this place is how everyone works together. Sometimes 2 people will work on drying my hair. If someone has fallen behind, others will help to catch them up. It's a great place to make you have a feel good day!! I've also had updoos and blowouts for events. Always great. Customer service is a priority. They keep up with the latest trends and take classes to stay up to date. All in all, you can't go wrong at Francisco's. read more

Please note that my review is an account of my experience with only the owner and has no indication regarding future appointments with OTHER stylists. I had my 2nd appointment with Francisco to have my hair cut and styled and I was so looking forward to my time spent at the salon. Finally, a time for me to actually relax and put some style back into this busy life. My scalp massage was actually great and most of the staff that passed by are very friendly. Once I got to the cutting chair, it's a different story. Haircut lasted but only a few and I had to ask to have my bangs cut. No attention paid to the front. I could see that he was in a hurry to finish the hair cut. Long story short, I left with a drastically uneven hair cut without any styling. He "added volume" by shearing a huge chunk of my hair at the back of my head. There was one layer ... and then the rest of my hair. It looked OK in the salon, just OK. I paid (left him a tip, as well) and went home to see what I could do. After realizing this was just one hack-job of a hair cut, I went back two days later to have it fixed. Francisco was not working that day; therefore, another stylist had the task of fixing my hair cut. I really wasn't stressed about it until the second stylist had so many problems fixing the issue with my hair. Francisco's work was so uneven that the only method of balancing out my hair cut was to CUT OFF about 4 inches of hair!!!!! A staff member, I assume a manager said to me, "Francisco just got excited." Francisco got so "excited" that now I have to live with this product of his excitement. Oh, Argan Oil ... tried that already, thanks :) I haven't had this short of a hair cut since I was in gradeschool. I HATE it and am so frustrated in the mornings when I try to fix my hair. So - today I called the salon requesting a refund and received a call back from Francisco himself. The entire phone call consisted of Francisco screaming insults and then hanging up on me. How professional. "I was happy when I left the salon" ... ok, well I'm not happy now 3 days later. Isn't a hair cut supposed to last you a while??? Within 10 seconds of answering his phone call, Francisco patronizingly insulted me. I can only assume from my conversation with him that he believes that it is acceptable to treat others with such disrespect, yet he is utterly surprised when you return the favor. Just Google reviews you'll find numerous people who had experiences similiar to mine. As others have mentioned in their reviews, Francisco doesn't want to take responsibilty for his mistakes, nor can he take criticism of his work. I am rather surprised that a man of his age and success did not handle the situation in a more tactful manner. The reviews for the salon in "ATX" are quite interesting to read. I actually find a lot of comfort knowing that I'm not the only customer that Francisco has treated so POORLY. What customer value? Is this how Francisco makes his clients feel beautiful and feel valued as a returning client? When a man signs LoveLaVida, one would hope that man would try to live the best life he could without treating others with such disregard! He has absolutely NO respect for this community or the women in it. Don't believe me? Just wait until YOU have a problem and must deal with him or his manager!! It is one thing to handle a situation distastefully or not as well as you would've liked, but it's a whole other ballgame when you handle it without any integrity! I believe that we should all try to find something positive out of every experience. Two positive things that I can see from this experience?: 1.) Hair grows back, and 2.) Beware!! I called in as a new customer excited to try to the salon since I just moved down here. They fit me right in and gave me an approximate cost for partial highlights at $110 and a cut for $56. It seemed a little pricey for Corpus, but I am will willing to pay for a great cut and color. The salon staff was nice and Valerie did a great job, but when I went to check out the total (before tip) was nearly $280!!!!! They charged me for conditioning treatments, glazing and more for the highlights than estimated. I was never asked about additional services before receiving them and have never been charged for such services at any other salon in my 20 years of hair care. I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK, which is disappointing since my hair looks good. Guess I have to start over looking for a local salon :( read more

HORRIBLE! Zero stars! Total rip off and extremely poor management. Beware and make sure you know exactly how much you are being charged before you go. They will rip you off and charge you for things without first telling you. I think that is extremely bad business and unprofessional. Then if you complain that you weren't told about the additional charges, management could care less. In fact, I got the distinct impression that management was responsible for the shady business. I will never return as I felt it was very bad business. Instead of leaving feeling wonderful, I felt like I wanted to cry because I was so mad! read more

I've been quite a few places in Corpus Christi for a haircut, and this is my favorite place so far -- reasonably priced, very little wait time, and close attention paid to what you want. Although my original stylist moved, I've found others here who are also good. I was worried it was going to be crazy expensive because of the neighborhood it is in, but its very reasonable. They really take time to talk with you about what cut will look best on you before your haircut. read more

Extremely unprofessional. I made an appointment, and they cancalled 15 minutes before I was supposed to be there. I had explained that I needed my hair cut for a new job I was starting. Talked to other people in the little shops near the salon, and three ladies said that they butcher hair, so maybe I should be grateful they are so unprofessional. read more

Very disappointed! I went to this salon because THOUGHT that it would be worth my money! I spent 4 hours and over $300 to go from blondish to brunette. I walked away happy. Then, 3 weeks later notice that my hair is turning reddish and I can see my highlights again. Mind you, I have used all of the products they used on my hair and do not blow dry my hair. I called the salon to ask for a refund and was told that it is past their 2 week time period, where customers who are unhappy can come in and adjust their hair. I was also told that if i wanted anything to be fixed, I would only get a discount of 50%. Are you kidding me??This is supposed to be a professional salon. I have been happier with my stylist (in San Antonio) for a quarter of the price! Why would I even think to go back to this salon for a fix . I think they should have done it right the first time!! I recently had my last cut there. It was a botched cut and was immediately apparent. Way too short especially on top. I was her last appointment of the day. She was in a hurry to leave. When finished I told her it was awful and she said oh well it will grow out. Her attitude was very cavalier. I complained at the register as well and called later to speak to a manager or the owner. That was 6 weeks ago and No one to date has returned my call. They obviously do not care about their clientele. read more

I just went here for the first time on a recommendation from my mom and I am so happy I did. Justine did a full highlight and cut and it is the best I've ever had.
