A pretty good location with lots of parking. The shelves are stocked fairly well but the store can feel a bit too crowded at times with the tight aisles. Lots of produce and organized well. Checkout is usually pretty quick. read more

We have a big problem and we are not even in Houston lol. I was unceremoniously kicked out of this store for allegedly stealing from them. I have been coming to this store since it was Lawblaws and have never stolen from them and don't intended on starting now. The store is NEVER stocked this is just a few pictures I took it's almost impossible to get an sale items even the first day of the sale I don't think they ever stock the sale items until the sale is over Plus the one freezer door has been broken for months The selection at this store is terrible it's only good if you need 1 or 2 items (if they have them because as I said they never stock the shelves) I'm also starting to see a bad habit of them not having any price listed went to buy tomato's and they had no price listed for any tomato's I also stopped buying produce here because it seems more often than not to be moldy read more

They're tampering with the meat. 2 huge chicken breast come out of the over as 2 small breast in an inch of water , made chili and the beef definitely wasn't just beef , terrible aftertaste , like someone added pork grinds , You can tell the meat has been over half frozen , gamey. Like going to the food bank and hoping for best but you pay on the way out ..how do they get away with half the stuff they do ? Terribly dirty, store with a miserable, down right MEAN security guard. I have not had any run-ins with him (besides his miserable glares), but I have witnessed his treatment of others. This store does NOT make their customers feel welcome. The produce section is often moldy and/or outdated on the package. The meat department... can you say YUCK! I have seen green, rotten, outdated meats there. If you bring it to staffs attention they give a dirty look, a roll of their eyes or have simply ignored me... ugh, so disgusting! The check out lines are ALWAYS long. You can usually count on 1 or 2 items to scan at the wrong price. They are consistant... dirty store, bad customer service, empty shelves and outdated, rotten food! I used to shop here quite a bit, however I have a rotator cuff tear that pains me greatly in my left arm, and I don't have my license. As such I purchased a small cart to help me transport my groceries from store to home. I will no longer shop at this location because rather than install anti theft devices, or hire security to check said personal carts, this location will not permit me to use my small cart for home transport only. I have never had any issues with my things being searched, I have nothing to hide. However I refuse to be punished for the actions of others. read more

Worst store to save money at EVER!!! First they only price match at some stores and I mean SOME. And there policies are ridiculous. I really wish I had printed the policy before I went to the store. I ended up not buying over half of my items because they wouldn't price match. And the coupons! I used there own coupons from there site and yet they wouldn't except it. At the end of it I finished my shopping back at Walmart where I usually and will continue to shop. Don't advertise low prices if you really don't have them. read more

This store is not up to par for anything, including never having sale items, price matching items from other stores, ( they take item off the shelf). Produce is the worse I've seen ever, always soaking wet, then it turns moldy, so no buying produce here. You will find expired items constantly in the bread department and cereal isles. Within one business week a item will rise in price up to 50 - 75 cents.! (Example : celery -- 2 weeks ago was $2.97, a week later it now $3.47, then 3 days later it's up to $3.97.) The other No Frills stores prices do not fluctuate like this. Store is always cramped, no room in isles, no room to pack your groceries, ppl are right on top of you. Staff for the most part are friendly. This is why this store gets a 1 for rating. It's a shame that a store manager would not take pride in his store so customers would be delighted to shop. read more

I went their today and they have a older lady working their who can't even pick up the juice containers to scan them I watched as all the other lines moved and the line I was in of 3 people was taking for ever the line getting longer and longer and after I paid she handed me my recipe and I said ohh u never asked me if I wanted bags she gave me a dirty look and took another 5 mins to cash out the bags .... Not a good store. Rude security guard yells at customers and cashiers, using intimidation and blockage of exits to demand searches of customers personal belongings, contrary to civil rights. Store is frequently out of stock of items for months at a time. Prices are higher than like branded locations, and advertised items are usually out of stock. Produce is often less than fresh. Ground is usually littered with refuse inside and out. Dirty shopping baskets and carts, which are stored outside and often caked with mud, ice and snow through the winter, despite adequate indoor storage. For the most part, the staff are polite although clearly not happy with their jobs. There is a much better No Frills about a mile east. read more

Normally, I shop here once or twice a month for the last 8 yrs without any problems, because the staff is nice, courteous and helpful.. Yesterday, the loss prevention officer accused me to stealing product... I use a bariatric walker to get around and I had put an item in its basket.. The item was in clear view, and I was still shopping in the store... The LPO then said he had witnessed me stealing product in the store before ??? Lies again, I don't know who he thinks I am, but I am not a criminal, do not have a criminal record, nor do I need to steal groceries, being on disability... I am rehabilitating to get off disability, after recent surgery, and this malicious kind of accusation of being a thief is detrimental to me, and any other disabled person that uses a walker in that store... I shop there because it's close to where I live, and I'm thinking that I might go somewhere else that's farther now,,,,the LPO needs to go read more

The isles are far too small. You're always bumping into people here. The fruit selection is terrible the same goes for the meat selection which is overpriced. Sure there are some good deals here and the staff is nice but the only reason I go is because it's close and I'm lazy. There is no other good reason to shop here. I'm not even going to begin to get into the customers who shop here. read more

There is no nice way to say it, this place is a dump. Being a discount store in the middle of the projects, my expectations aren't high, but the clientele isn't the problem. It is a small store, always totally packed, and people tend to frequently shove raw meat in non-refrigerated shelves (whether after changing their mind or aborting a shoplifting attempt, I don't know.) It turns into a total zoo during the dollar sales, but that's to be expected. The frozen and dairy sections always have a sticky floor and are permeated with the stench of rotting meat, which employees make a futile attempt to cover with air freshener. There are new 'help wanted' signs up every time I've been there, which is no surprise, since I seriously doubt they pay enough to deal with what a mess this place is. Not to mention there is a shady PC representative running around who always wants to see your government ID in exchange for a $5 coupon. So yeah, if you decide to come here (or like most customers, simply can't afford to go anywhere else), stay far away from the refrigerated/frozen sections, unless you enjoy mold and salmonella. As for the positives: The prices are low, the employees are always nice and polite, and the produce section is decent for the inner city. But if you can afford to shop elsewhere, I'd suggest you do. read more

This is the only grocery store I've ever been searched at. I avoid it at all costs, but it is 2 blocks away from my house. Be sure to check best before dates on the dairy as they regularly have expired goods on display. If anyone from Weston sees this please take steps! For the past 23 years off & on I have shopped At this location. There are alot of negatives about this franchise. Weekly sale items are never present,if you inquire the answer is always."The truck did not delivery it." The store is constantly out of stock of certain items for weeks-months at a time.Prices are between fifty-to -seventy-five cents higher on items found in other locations. You always have to check expiration date on items, on numerous occasions I have picked up expired food.(Yogurt,bread,pastries,cereal,). Produce is soaked with water,not acceptable. Unprofessional security guard. Verbal outbursts at customers, telling them if you do not like it here, shop elsewhere. This area is impoverished & the majority of clients do not have the means to get around, so this is their only option..(SAD). My one star goes not to the store but to the staff, The cashiers are friendly & polite, stock persons on the floor work hard, however: if asked about a particular item most are capable enough to help, the others shrug their shoulders & state, "I do not know". If you request to see a manager & its in the evening hours or week-ends your likely out of luck. Considering the high cost of food today & people trying to stretch their budgets,one would think this grocery store would be much more accommodating to their customers. read more

Given the fact that this store is small by current store standards and has limited back space including refrigeration, it does a good job of keeping items, including specials, in stock. Stock clerks are helpful and knowledgeable, and if the store is out of an item, the clerks will tell you when the next shipment will be in, and it always is if you go back at a reasonable hour (i.e. not the end of the day on the shipment day). As to Andy's comments about the security guard: he is certainly not the most pleasant man, but I expect that shoplifting at this location is probably a major consideration because of the general clientele and the fact that the security guard is always so very active. I think that he must have to be: if management cannot make a profit, then 1) prices will go up to cover losses from shoplifting OR 2) the store will close. The other No Frills on Main Street East closed last year. If I want No Frills specials I'm not going to make a special trip to the No Frills on Mohawk Road which itself is not that large. read more

This place is consistently getting poor reviews and it's easy to see why. Although I have never been his target, the Manager in my opinion, treats customers very rudely. The prices are OK. The quality is terrible...and the store is very dirty. On several occasions I've walked in and there were no baskets in sight, despite the store not being very busy. When you can find one, it will be filthy...definitely not something I'd want to use to carry food purchases. The dairy aisle often stinks of sour milk. They need to invest in some heavy duty pressure washer and use it! The only good thing I can say is that when they have things on sale, the value can be quite good - but as this is true of all No Frills, I'd avoid this one if at all possible. When I first moved to Hamilton, this was the only place where I could easily shop for groceries as I didn't have a car and there is really no competition in the area. Now that I have a vehicle, I will always drive to a store that I know is clean, and where customers are treated decently. read more
