On April 2013 Frank took me to the stairway to isolated me from other people, he told me my case was going to be close that day and that he needed $895.00 cash to pay for the fine. I wanted to finish my case so I gave $900.00 to him. The case did not close that day but he kept the money .I ask repeatedly for a receipt or my money back with no avail. He kept lying to me about my case and my money. Frank did nothing to defend me in court. My case closed on December 2014. I got the worst case scenario, I even spend a couple of days in jail something he knew about it but did not tell me until the last minute when I was about to get handcuffed. As for my money, I haven't heard anything about it. Obviously after reading some bad reviews about him,he never intended to pay for my fine. I want to take legal action against him.

Over the course of almost 2 years, there was no progress made in our case, and the case is still active. They were fast to take us on as a client, but then communication became next to nothing over the course of our tenure with them. Every 2-3 months we would follow up with case status but there was nothing to report, and we were told to sit tight. After about 2 years, we decided to change firms and asked for all correspondence related to the case and the investigator, but Brill's firm could not produce any informative emails or updates with the investigator. Most of the communication was "calls" and "voicemails", but nothing that showed progress or an attempt to bring closure. Brill's firm is either too busy (likely) or doesn't care enough (possible) to help with cases deemed "less significant" to them. In short, 2 years later we're in the same spot we were, and we are currently evaluating new representation. If we could go back, we would have paid the premium (higher cost) for other attorneys who we interviewed with who seemed more invested in our case.

From the initial phone call with Mike, I instantly knew he was different and actually cared and…read moretook time to discuss my case. As opposed to many other attorneys who would speak to me for 3 minutes then request an initial consultation to continue the conversation. My case was a nontraditional debt collection/family law case , however Mike was experienced in so many facets of the law. Most importantly he always took the time to translate the legal language that is difficult to decipher, and I granted him permission to sign my behalf due to the geographical difference which was not an impediment at all, it made it so seamless. He would always field my questions off hours if needed, in addition he always promptly responded to me and keep me updated. Mike is an actual attorney that cares and has his client's best interest at heart. When was the last time an attorney asked you "How is xyz going?" despite the topic not being related to the case. I would highly recommend him, and would always be my first choice if I ever needed representation again an another case. I had a ticket for a failure to stop at a stop sign and my missing plate. I also missed court and got a failure to appear. I had to last minute hire an attorney, because I tried to go to court on my own and fight the tickets but the judge was giving me a very hard time, he didn't want to approve my request for OR and I just knew I wasn't going to win this battle. I initially spoke to some attorney that claim it was too late and nothing could be done. I was desperate, so a friend recommended Frank DeSousa Law Firm, went to meet with him and they immediately looked into my case, did some work and was able to pull up my information and said they could still go in and fight my case. It was so last minute but they were on top of it! They ended up going to the next arraignment , and then to trial and got my case dismissed! Paying them was so worth it, it's less than my ticket would have cost, I save the dreaded multiple trips to court, having to sit there for hours, no points on my license and most importantly removal of suspension on my license! :) Thank you Frank and stuff! Returning client of Frank A Desousa. He is an outstanding attorney who helped me with my most recent tickets. The officers claimed failure to yield which I knew was completely false. I remained respectful to the officers knowing that I would have my chance in court with Frank A Desousa. He fought for me and eventually the ticket was dismissed. As we all know the slightest guilty ticket can lead to huge increases in insurance cost. Always contact an attorney for all your tickets. Do not just plead guilty and pay. A special shoutout to Mohammed as well who works with Frank. He always made sure to provide updates and follow up whenever I had questions. Mohammed was always willing and ready to help. I sent him photos of the ticket and he handled everything for me. Overall I cannot recommend enough Frank A Desousa and his office. I received a traffic ticket. Was very worried what would happen with my insurance premiums. Was losing sleep over it. One of my friends recommended Frank Desousa. I called Frank. Very professional, very quick to answer and took care of my ticket by the next day. There is no need to look any further. If you need a lawyer for traffic violations Frank is your man. I was originally referred to this law office by another lawyer that refused to handle my case because it was too late. Frank Desousa was willing to take it on, and started working on it minutes after I called. I will admit that the overall process is long and it did get a bit stressful at times, but at the end of the day, he came in clutch with the wins! Not only in Nassau but in the Bronx as well. I've had the pleasure to work with Mr. DeSousa one time. However, I can say that he is very professional and to the point. He helped me dismiss an outrageous 13 point moving violation issued by NASA County police officer who took advantage of his monthly quota. Mr. DeSousa converted a $1600+ 13 points ticket into a $350 parking ticket, I know that sounds unbelievable, but he is an amazing lawyer who wins.
