She was able to see me immediately, but there was another woman who came in after and ended up having to wait 30 min. There were a variety of different earrings I could choose from that ranged from $30-$60. Mine were $50/each--which I felt like was comparable to other places and was a fair price. Beth was very thorough with disinfecting my ear and was patient with me. I got a little light headed since I'm not good with needles and she was very understanding. Like most tattoo shop piercers, they use the hollow needles instead of a gun. She gave very thorough post-care instructions as well. Very happy with the results!

I messaged him on instagram to put down a deposit about a week out from the date I was to come in. I messaged him IDEAS of what I wanted and paid $100 to reserve the time. Once I got there. I had to wait well over an hour after the time I reserved. Here's the cherry on top. When he finally had time for me he asked what we were doing... I spoke with an artist there about doing some work, we communicated outside of the shop, and then, nothing. I don't appreciate being left high and dry. But I've followed my favorite artist to his new place and I'm extremely happy. Illustrated Man is old is every single way possible. There is dust caked on that's probably as old as the shop. It's just nasty. Who wants to get ink done at a place that isn't kept up any better than that? Not me.

I went in and talked to the owner/artist who showed me his work in a book and talked to me about how he had been in business his whole life. My best guess is he may be in his 60s? Anyways, seemed legit. This was by far the most important tat I have because it's a memorial to my late mother but it was by far the worst tat I have ever gotten. There are so many mistakes. His hand was u steady, some of the letters are not connected. It looks like my 11 year attempted her first tattoo. I didn't notice this upon leaving as the temp ink was still in place under the perm ink. After the ink was washed away and the healing was done was when I noticed. I was going to go in and show him, ask him to attempt to fix it BUT I'm not sure it's fixable and scared he will screw it up more. Unfortunately, I am now going to have to pay more money for someone to attempt to fix it if it can be fixed. So disappointed.
